As a Bills fan of the NFL, what keeps your fandom?
HopelessNJBuffaloFan replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just want one damn championship!!!! ONE before i die! LOL I will admit i am more a Sabres then a Bills fan. Watching 4 straight SB losses does something to you and your fandom. Still love them, and root for them, but rather watch the Sabres play as i LOVE hockey and only like football. Still a fan and root every week, and hoping for a SB win in my lifetime. -
So, i think i am somewhere in the middle where folks are on this board. I think the Bills can win this game, but we have all seen they try to hard to not win games in the last few weeks. Some points IMHO: - Even with Cin offensive line hurt, wont matter. Dolphins were worse and the only way we got to him was to blitz. - Josh is not the same Josh that started the season. Hurt? Head crap? Definitely not the same. - Dorsey still does not impress me. (Yes i know, points and the rest yea yea) He moves away from things that work and forces stupid forced plays to work. (Not saying he is horrible) - Our defensive backfield gets slashed pretty easy with the worst QB's.... Burrow is not one of them and they have incredible receivers! - Have you ever seen a team that sucks so bad on screens?? They are an embarrassment at it. I know i am being Debby downer, but Bill's play of late does not give me warm and fuzzys. Either way hoping for a win, but wont be surprised if they lose. Take Bengals and the points!

Love the time!!! Even though Monday is a holiday, tired of being the late game!!! Also, Tua is not playing this game. Even his coach did not give a ringing endorsement to him playing. He is one concussion away from being a walking vegetable. 3 in 6 months is bad juju for him. Bills should roll this game!

Updated scenario for scheduling to be voted on Friday
HopelessNJBuffaloFan replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Bills Win, KC loses, all games come through Buffalo. If Cin wins they are #2 and no neutral sites and also does not mess with Bal. -

They face off in Buffalo. KC losing puts the NFL world right in AFC ranking. They only possible loser would be Balt if they win this weekend -
Week 18: Pats at Bills, Sunday 1/8 1pm

Hoping their offense continues like it did last week against the 49'ers. KC defense a ton worse than SF!! -

As horrible as it sounds, the NFL is not going to stop the league over this. There is a season and playoffs that are 100% not going to go away. This is a game that still means a lot to the Pats and has consequences to other teams. As much as we all do not really care as it is Damar 100% first, eventually the league will move on. It will be horribly difficult for our boys (and us as well on a smaller scale) but they will get back to doing what they are there to do, play football. I hope all are allowed to grieve and be able to cope with the circumstances as we all pray for #3 recovery!!! When they are ready, one way or another, it will be time to beat the hell out of the Pats, cause that's what we do now! This is a game chat, keep it as a game chat. Life is going to move on and this is part of healing for all. -

I honestly do not think there should be any media availability this week for the Bills. Let them deal and grieve peacefully without a billion stupid media questions. "How do you feel after watching what happened to Damar"? Really??? You know it will happen. We have a game to play and i do not expect many of the Bills heads to be in the game and i do not blame them. What happen for that happens and I as a fan am totally ok with that. Never thought i would get to that point being the man who destroyed a new Razor over the first Jets game. My thoughts and prayers are with Damar's family and the Buffalo Bill's family. -
Ok, so late to the post. I watched the game (Alone as usual as i can get very loud) and was absolutely stunned and then hurt and then just ............unbelievable. Damar playing his hard hitting game doing what he loves. May god give mercy to him and his family, and please allow him a chance at a recovery. Both the wife and i did not sleep much last night. You kind of take for granted your teams and your player and forget the human side as we cheer, rant and rave watching out teams play. As of now i do not care about the rest of this football year. Damar is the most important subject on our minds and that is where it should be. As Bills fans we are strong and band together through whatever is thrown our way and we will emerge stronger when we get through this. God Bless Damar and Buffalo.

Week 16: Bills at Bears on Christmas Eve

He did this a couple of weeks ago..... DNP all week until the last practice, was limited, and played all snaps during the game. Just body management i am sure. -
Week 16: Bills at Bears on Christmas Eve
HopelessNJBuffaloFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok, Detroit is just on the other side of the pond (Ok, Lake) and is going to get the same amount of snow. Logistics are the same. Cannot get there. -
Buffalo needs to beat the Bears. Do NOT get anymore injuries. Get the walking or crawling wounded healthy before we play Cincy!!!! If we go into Cincy playing like we did against the Fins, it is going to be a serious fight to win that game.

I would say Elam was the better one, but Tre had a horrible game. He looked good at times, and looked horrible at times.

Week 16: Bills at Bears on Christmas Eve
HopelessNJBuffaloFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was stationed in Chicago when i was in the Navy. My wife was preggers and we went to Great Lakes for one of her Dr appointments. There was zero snow and it was cold. We were there about an hour, and when we left, there was 6" on the ground and you could not see 2 feet in front of you. The weather there is just as crazy as Buffalo at times. The stadium there blocks very little of anything. If blizzard is the case, it will be an ugly game! -

This has been a freaky weather year for the Bills! LOL I am not worried about the Bills being able to play in the frigid weather, but the cold and the snow will make this game very interesting! I think this will be the first Bill's game I wont be able to watch in NJ for about 5 weeks!!!! That really sucks!! The Giants are playing at 1, so i think that will be the only game in my area. -
