Maybe among your crowd...but we really don't care about them. Neither does trump, actually. -

it's all for amusement, dummy. We're not going to change policy here. We could possibly influence some neutral readers but there aren't any that post here. So which of these activities is he accused of? I don't believe that has been made public. please link if you are aware. At any rate, he's being flown back to NY from Louisiana for a hearing soon. More to come. If it was settled law, there wouldn't be a hearing. -

the first amendment (freedom of speech, freedom of religion)). There's a palestinian in jail for speaking out against Israel. https://www.yahoo.com/news/ny-student-protester-held-immigration-152740592.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall New York Civil Liberties Union President Donna Lieberman called his deportation "targeted retaliation and an extreme attack on the First Amendment." As a permanent resident (Green Card holder), you have the right to: Live permanently in the United States provided you do not commit any actions that would make you removable under immigration law Work in the United States at any legal work of your qualification and choosing. (Please note that some jobs will be limited to U.S. citizens for security reasons) Be protected by all laws of the United States, your state of residence and local jurisdictions -
I sure hope not. While beautiful and friendly, consumer goods are in very short supply, mostly due to embargoes and isolationism. After the revolution, they did look for help. The US didn't offer any. The Soviets did, in a very big way and had huge influence. When Gorbachev dissolved the Soviet Union, they lost most of the support. And have struggled mightily since. Isolationism is crushing them but it's largely not self imposed. In our case, it is.

WSJ has a nice piece on consumer sentiment. It's paywalled. basically says low and middle earners are maxed out on credit cards and will likely be forced to slow buying. Higher earners are concerned about a coming recession and falling stock market...and will likely decrease spending. Not a good combo.

Looks to me like Rubio was set up for a fall. What a scary operative the guy who was tasked with taking him down is. Or maybe he just personally sees Rubio sa far too moderate. Either way, not good https://www.mediaite.com/news/top-state-department-official-spread-false-rumor-marco-rubio-is-gay-what-happens-in-the-cabana-stays-in-the-cabana/ -
There has been no where near 2 trillion in government spending cuts. Nor will there be. but there will be tax breaks for the wealthy! Meanwhile trariffs and a president who said the economy would improve on day one shares no blame. pi$$ing off every ally and trade partner , cozying up to authoritarians, blaming the stupid tariffs on fentanyl and conceding the real chance of an impending recession on national tv had nothing to do with the downturn in the market. Either you're really stupid or you're pretending to be. I go with the former.

Those most invested in the market are most likely to complain about the last couple of weeks and vice versa. Interesting to see who on board is concerned. markets climb and fall, but these were unforced errors. on the bright side, you only lose money when you cash out. A D majority in congress could go a long way towards improving things.

what part do you disagree with? Be specific. Perhaps JD Hill can help you. “Through its siege over Gaza, obstruction of humanitarian aid, alongside targeted attacks and killing of civilians and aid workers, despite repeated UN appeals, binding orders from the International Court of Justice and resolutions of the Security Council, Israel is intentionally causing death, starvation and serious injury, using starvation as a method of war and inflicting collective punishment on the Palestinian population,” the Committee said.

perhaps you meant to say hamas there's an argument for that. but that isn't material to the question of Israel... https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2024/11/un-special-committee-finds-israels-warfare-methods-gaza-consistent-genocide

Trump ❤️ Tariffs

Not if this guy has anything to do with it. I'll take his Economic chops over trump's any day. I'll bet he's never bankrupted a casino. I'm cheering for Canada here. Maybe he'll spank the old pig so hard that it precipitates some angina... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/new-canadian-prime-minister-s-five-word-warning-to-trump-amid-trade-war/ar-AA1AA6oe -
Couple of problems here: many maga voters don’t meet your threshold. Remember when trump said “ I love the uneducated “? Why do you suppose he loves them? Second, he’s done nothing to help inflation. Put forth no deflationary ideas and has instituted inflationary tariffs. How you fools can defend this is beyond the pale. He idolizes and parrots McKinley’s economic ideas. The gilded age was fantastic for the mega rich. It sucked for the working class. Just keep eating his shyte…

Israel is a country with a recent history of war crimes and genocide. Judaism is a religion comprised of a group of people that share religious beliefs, not necessarily political ones. I was at an event this weekend with 2 Jews who don’t support many of Israels recent actions, for example.
