I was there the last 2 days for specific needs. today it was natural yogurt and milk. yesterday, I was looking for Leyland cypress trees to plant on my lot line. Admit it. You were listening to npr yesterday. Many of the farmers selling at farmers markets are “hippies”. Their chickens are largely unaffected. The million plus chicken farms are the biggest cause.

Do you raise chickens? Livestock? If not, shut up. We tried. It wasn’t economically feasible nor worth our time. If we had to do it, we could. As it is, we get our eggs at the farmers market every Saturday from neighbors who know us. We’d buy meat there except I don’t like grass fed meat. We bought some chickens and a coop along with a friend. F’in nightmare. The chickens killed each other. Several weak ones were gone in the first couple weeks. Critters and snakes try to get in the coop. It needs regular cleaning. The feed ain’t cheap. We ended up giving them away.
