  1. Uh huh. except they provide no proof or link to the "revisions". These experts are obviously part of the same gun pushing think tank. they clearly have an agenda. More on Lott: Lott is a prolific author for both academic and popular publications. He has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals and written ten books, including “More Guns, Less Crime,” “The Bias Against Guns,” and “Freedomnomics.” His most recent books are “Dumbing Down the Courts: How politics keeps the smartest judges off the bench” and “Gun Control Myths.”
  2. So the answer is "no", you didn't bother to look. shocked, I tell ya! cool. and next time produce a meaningful argument. I'm sure julie kelly and her ilk very occasionally engage in honest debate.
  3. did you bother to look at the source for this article: "The apparent stealth edit to the bureau’s statistics, first reported by RealClearInvestigations, shows that the raw number of violent crime incidents — including murders, assaults and rapes — rose to 1,256,671 in 2022 from 1,197,930 in 2021, an increase of 4.9%." most of the rest of the "article" is verbatim from Julie Kelly. at least they used the word apparent. ya'll are sad. but go do your own research...This guy is the president of "Crime prevention research center" mentioned in the piece: CPRC was founded by Dr. John R. Lott, Jr., an economist and a world-recognized expert on guns and crime. During the Trump administration, he served as the Senior Advisor for Research and Statistics in the Office of Justice Programs and then the Office of Legal Policy in the U.S. Department of Justice. Lott has held research or teaching positions at various academic institutions, including the University of Chicago, Yale University, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, UCLA, and Rice University, and was the chief economist at the United States Sentencing Commission during 1988-1989. Dr Moody is also on the board..One might even conclude that this article originated at this "center". .you figure it out. dumb, dumb, dumber
  4. Link them. I only see far right sites so I suppose it depends on how you define "news". Just checked 3 articles in other right wing publications. They all quote RCI (Julie Kelly) article. Also use NCSV numbers as the gold standard. If you can be bothered to analyze the data, look up NCSV. This is how maga works: somebody publishes bs and then the other sites republish it as if the original article was gospel. slimy f'ers.
  5. Carl Moody is a professor of Economics at William and Mary. Not sure how his expertise translates to crime statistics or of his political affiliation. One would think that they would quote a respected expert in criminology instead. hmmmm https://www.wm.edu/as/cams/applied-statistics/faculty/moody-c.php And I'm sure saint Julie has no intention of misleading by her title "real clear investigations"... This paper gives some insight into Carl Moody's politics: https://crimeresearch.org/2023/07/is-there-a-policy-that-reduces-mass-public-shooting-deaths/
  6. The "cryptic message" Julie Kelly cites in this report https://elements.visualcapitalist.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/UCR_Summary_of_Crime_in_-Nation_2023.pdf is so cryptic that I couldn't find it. perhaps one of you Julie Kelly followers can'provide the page. Alternatively, starting on page 30, the document discusses methodology in detail and might help even MAGA's understand that the numbers are not nor can ever be, absolute. Julie Kelly again proving how sleazy and dishonest she is...
  7. btw, who is responsible for "Realclear investigation"? One might assume it's part of realclear politics. Nope, it's Julie Kelly. not misleading at all... https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/authors/julie_kelly/
  8. https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/fbi-releases-2023-crime-in-the-nation-statistics here are the latest official FBI numbers (9/24). Interesting your cited article does not show a comparison of numbers between the years, revised or not). Here's the latest 2022 numbers: https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/fbi-releases-2022-crime-in-the-nation-statistics
  9. Dude, the first article I posted cited FBI numbers. This one links FBI numbers as well as other sources (The FBI numbers are local law enforcement numbers collated and summarized). Not surprising that you didn't read the first link (and very likely won't read this): https://www.factcheck.org/2024/05/trumps-bogus-attack-on-fbi-crime-statistics/. You are either unwilling or unable to analyze the available data (or both). unsurprisingly, your "argument" is very similar to trump's: Time National Politics Reporter Eric Cortellessa, April 12: Violent crime is going down throughout the country. There was a 6% drop in— Trump: I don’t believe it. Cortellessa: You don’t believe that? Trump: Yeah, they’re fake numbers. Cortellessa: You think so? Trump: Well it came out last night. The FBI gave fake numbers. Cortellessa: I didn’t see that, but the FBI said that there was a 13% drop [in homicides] in 2023. Trump: I don’t believe it. No, it’s a lie. It’s fake news. Cortellessa: Sir, these numbers are collected by state and local police departments across the country. Most of them support you. Are they wrong? Trump: Yeah. Last night. Well, maybe, maybe not. The FBI fudged the numbers and other people fudged numbers. There is no way that crime went down over the last year. There’s no way because you have migrant crime. Are they adding migrant crime? Or do they consider that a different form of crime? Cortellessa: So these local police departments are wrong? Trump: I don’t believe it’s from the local police. What I saw was the FBI was giving false numbers. There wasn't any data nor research available perhaps purposefully. We could only judge on what we observed.
  10. I'm not wrong and could link more data but you'd just reply that it's untrue with a wave of your hand and nothing to back up your contention...it's what MAGAs do. I need a translation. my digital language translator doesn't understand either No. thoughtful liberals look at data and real research with an objective eye. If the data data is questioned or questionable, thoughtful people investigate further, look at other sources, look at methodology, look at sample size etc. In effect, analyze it.
  11. Yes, we know. Despite what orange fascist says, we don't live in a vacuum. We rely on the rest of the world for many things. But please continue. For the few who don't already know, we get a glimpse inside the "thinking"{ of the typical MAGA.
  12. uh huh. I see inflation. I also know that its origin was covid and the huge stimulus that was spent to keep the economy afloat. I also know that we did much better, with a lower inflation rate, than most countries in the world. There is no truth! Facts don't exist! I'm a MAGA!!!! But whatever trump says is true except when obvious lies are "misinterpreted".
  13. of course. you don't believe data that doesn't align with your narrative but believe proven serial liar trump. wtf is wrong with you?
  14. yes, we know. Who needs data? Who needs facts? MAGA!!! We just say it 3 times and it becomes true...at least in OUR minds.
  15. authoritarian communist to be more exact. in fairness, tommy eyerolls is likely not into ideology, like most MAGAs.. It's about making sure government benefits them and not groups they don't approve of.
  16. English please. Stimy funds? corporatist economy? It's called capitalism. Are you a closet socialist?
  17. so many lies. let's just look at crime: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2024/apr/03/nancy-mace/has-crime-skyrocketed-under-joe-biden-not-exactly/ Why do you repeatedly bear false witness B man?
  18. https://www.thedailybeast.com/gop-official-for-kamala-predicts-silent-majority-will-win real Republicans get it: "He just cannot be in the Oval Office again,” former Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA) told the Daily Beast Tuesday night during her drive up to the Keystone State for the event. And she predicted: Harris will prevail. “I think there’s a silent majority,” she said. “I think there’s a silent group of women who will crawl over broken glass to vote against Trump and who will quietly vote for Harris.”
  19. Reality: https://www.revolt.tv/article/are-black-people-the-majority-of-those-on-welfare The majority of recipients were white (43 percent), followed by Hispanic (26 percent), and Black (23 percent). These figures fall in line with population demographics and debunk the misconception that welfare programs are predominantly associated with the Black community. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/07/19/what-the-data-says-about-food-stamps-in-the-u-s/ to be fair, safety net programs are vital, especially to avoid riots. and civil unrest. And there are certainly deserving/needy people in every racial group.. But when I hear complaints about the programs, it's often directed at non whites. Let's be fair in our assessment and assignment of blame.
  20. they only account for a low percentage of white trash and that percentage keeps rising relentlessly.
  21. imagine if they get control of the federal reserve and treasury. we had a preview with covid money. 2nd time will be worse.
  22. nah, that'd be maga "doc". but nice actual conspiracy among you trumpers....
  23. uh huh. play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Yours is being associated with nazis. i'm sure you're proud. Mary Trump, lesbian niece to Donald was there. She posted the vid for all to see. Good on her.
  24. looks like our resident maga's got the memo from the trump campaign: call it a false flag and don't directly condemn nazis https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-responds-swastika-flags-flown-during-boat-parade-1969075 In a statement to Newsweek, the Anti-Defamation League said: "OBS is a small neo-Nazi network primarily based in Florida that distributes propaganda and holds in-person demonstrations to spread their white supremacist ideology. OBS was formed in early 2023 by long time affiliates of Florida's overlapping white supremacist network." The advocacy group StopAntisemitism wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that one of the people on the boat was "known antisemite Jon Minadeo II." It added that other people present were "his cronies from the GDL (Goyim Defense League)," which the Southern Poverty Law Center classified as a neo-Nazi group. Minadeo has a history of neo-Nazi-related stunts, including being arrested in Poland after sharing far-right propaganda at the gates of Auschwitz.
  25. same pathetic video of a single boat splashing a boatful of nazis at a trump rally. They remained...there should be plenty of other videos of hecklers surrounding them and telling them they are unwelcome. where are they? only one anti nazi boater there?
