I'll answer. Both sides, negotiating with each other face to face, come to an agreement on land holdings. there will need to be compromise on both sides. A "backstop" of military force to ensure compliance with the treaty must be established. The mineral rights deal happens afterward if all are in agreement. All this was not far away until trump showed everyone that he's putin's B word, in part by not involving Ukraine in initial negotiations.
