  1. met more than my share. over 70% R in 2022 congressional race.
  2. Avalanche. Stampede. What was the word they used in the Replacements?
  3. Fabulous. This may be my first game in years where I turn off the Bills to watch another game because they're winning.
  4. cool. Another R with a conscience. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4894622-nebraska-republican-opposes-electoral-vote/
  5. "get around British law". There are many scandalous British rags including those once owned by Maxwell and the Murdochs that get away with lying daily.
  6. It's open invitation. Contributions encouraged.
  7. Still too close for comfort. Today’s NYT poll shows us behind a couple points in Ga, Arizona and NC. This however, is encouraging. https://www.predictit.org/markets/detail/7456/Who-will-win-the-2024-US-presidential-election
  8. The deep division is bad for business. We have a guy coming to fix our dryer. He’s made hisMAGA views clear. I’ve never engaged him but we have prez, senate and house signs in front of our driveway. Might pull them up rather than quarrel ( and get charged too much). Could also choose a different repairman. Never remembered it like this before trump
  9. This is a very good point. The parties have changed so much that prior impressions are not valid. When I go to the annual D picnic it's a majority professionals. I'd say 80% are college educated. Basically, the "establishment" for the area. Just what the R party was when I grew up in Niagara County.
  10. The evidence was overwhelming. The R's closed ranks. The proceedings were done in an official, democratic (small d) and public forum. Nothing was hidden or secret.
  11. you can't put yourself in a D's mind anymore than I can understand a MAGA's. We are fundamentally and vastly different. If a D leader suggested an insurrection or fake elector scheme, he would be dead to me and every D I know.
  12. Number 5: accept the results. Watch closely for signs of fascism taking hold. Be prepared to move internationally.
  13. So....I accurately stated crispy's intended meaning. cool. best to let this die now.
  14. what is "Obammy" an allusion too? explain. I have much more say than the R's with the Orange King running his serfs around. I'm fine with the decision tp replace Biden. I don't know one D whoo isn't. I'm going to a party picnic soon. I'll let you know if I hear different then.
  15. Ever heard of Robert Maxwell? https://bylinetimes.com/2021/02/12/robert-maxwell-and-modern-britains-monstrous-gallery-of-media-moguls/
  16. Cue the violin music. It’s our party. f up your own more than it already is.
  17. Pretty clear. If he wants to deny it, he proves me wrong. I’m still scratching my head on the KJV. Church of England is Catholic light and much more liberal…
  18. Things have improved considerably since 1964 https://www.history.com/topics/black-history/civil-rights-movement I'm thinking you see the others as black... given th demographics, I'm certain your not talking about the average MAGA.
  19. Home ownership represents the majority of wealth and investment to most US families. Blacks have done much worse than whites due in part to systemic racism and laws dating back to Jim Crow https://www.brookings.edu/articles/homeownership-racial-segregation-and-policies-for-racial-wealth-equity/ Lower Black homeownership and the racial wealth gap are byproducts of systemic racism, including the legacies of slavery, Jim Crow segregation, redlining, and other anti-Black policies that targeted Black people and predominately Black neighborhoods. Residential segregation facilitates the extraction of wealth and other vital resources that fuel economic and social mobility. The loss of wealth in Black communities hastens a downward socioeconomic spiral. For instance, schools predominated by Black, Latinx, and Asian students receive $23 billion less in funding than predominately white districts.[4] This is because schools primarily rely on local property taxes rather than a broader pool of funding to equalize school resources.
  20. Tie him tightly to trump https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/22/josh-stein-mark-robinson-trump-00180389 But in his interview with CNN, Stein said he didn’t believe Robinson’s denial because the recent developments are in line with Robinson’s past comments. Before the CNN report, Robinson had previously faced scrutiny for comments on women, LGBTQ+, Jewish and Muslim people, among other comments. Stein noted that the recently discovered comments are similar to what he previously posted on Facebook. “Mark Robinson is absolutely unfit to be the governor of North Carolina. And that was true before your story broke last Thursday,” Stein said. “The story has only served to underline and put an exclamation point on that fact.” Stein also added Republicans who supported Robinson need to be “held accountable” — especially as some now attempt to distance themselves.
