  1. dude, this was literally his first week on the job. trump announced we were leaving Afghanistan before he left. For a mobster, he likes to show his hand.
  2. A worthy Valentines endeavor. I brought back wine and take out sushi and I'm kinda done but still, not a good use of time.
  3. So do you think the $1.9 billion from HHS funding aids programs are the $1.9 billion y'all are trying to make hay with? Doesn't say there. trump said something about fraud and abuse. criminal charges...
  4. So Musk met with Modi in an executive branch building today. The trump was asked whether it was for business or gov't purposes, trump said he assumed it was for business. And maga's everywhere yawned. Is his business in India gonna improve maga's standard of living?
  5. c'mon, you got the gist...but read the most recent federal prosecutor's words to his boss at Justice. That should provide some clarity "In short, the first justification for the motion -- that [former U.S. Attorney] Damian Williams's role in the case somehow tainted a valid indictment supported by ample evidence, and pursued under different U.S. attorneys is so weak as to be transparently pretextual," Scotten wrote. "The second justification is worse. No system of ordered liberty can allow the Government to use the carrot of dismissing charges, or the stick of threatening to bring them again, to induce an elected official to support its policy objectives," he added. Scotten, an Army veteran who served in Iraq and clerked under Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh before he was appointed to the Supreme Court, chastised the president and the administration. "I can even understand how a Chief Executive whose background is in business and politics might see the contemplated dismissal-with-leverage as a good, if distasteful, deal," he wrote. "If no lawyer within earshot of the President is willing to give him that advice, then I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me," he added. Just admit it, you're a maga.
  6. I have a couple OJ rookie cards. They're not in great shape cuz I actually tried/played with them. Still probably worth at least $50. I should sell but my dad and I had season tix then and the nostalgia s worth more than that to me. I have some hockey cards from the late 60's and early 70' with some big names including a Bobby Orr rookie card. Also in bad shape and not worth selling imo.
  7. it'd be nice if musk lived up to his pledge on transparency and gave some details on what these funds were budgeted for. nterestingly 1.9 billion was budgeted from HHS (Medicare/Medicaid) for global aids 9nterventions. I suspect maga's wouldn't be thrilled by that but some actual transparency would be welcome. just admit it's about culture wars. ya'll not ashamed of that, right? https://www.kff.org/policy-watch/how-much-global-health-funding-goes-through-usaid/
  8. It was more than that. He seriously sabotaged negotiations to end a war with massive global importance. When he “walked it back” it was pretty clear someone told him he wasn’t a policy maker but a vantrilequist doll. I think this will be the role of most of his cabinet appointments. Blind loyalty was the most important characteristic.
  9. Said like a good little fascist… What proven falsehood. Do you believe the R senator is telling falsehoods and why? I think he may even implied that ole tuck is a Russian tool.
  10. Of course it is. Hegseth f’ed up big time. Ole tuck is a douche and the Sen implied he might be a russian operative. Agreed?
  11. looks like this is the focus group. not exactly statistically significant. 100% in any poll pretty much damns its legitimacy So, how do you feel about the constitution. Should we ignore it? Ditchg it all together? I think all the maga's here should chime in...
  12. Nope. The constitution is the basis for our rule of law. I've always cared deeply about it while understanding that there are differences in interpretation. That's why naming ethical, moral SCOTUS judges is so important. Religion often guides those ethics. That's why it's sad that several are ostensibly practicing Catholics like me.
  13. no. we need to abide by the constitution. I thought maga was all in on that....until trump got in again. what happened?
  14. seems a R senator who chairs the armed services committee is not a fan of either Hegseth or Ole Tuck https://www.mediaite.com/news/republican-chair-of-armed-services-blasts-pete-hegseths-rookie-mistake-giving-tucker-carlson-style-speech-on-ukraine/
  15. So, heard this reporter on npr talking about Musk as liberal, voting for Obama twice and I think, Clinton. And then he had a reverse epiphany and became alt right doing the things we see here and supporting the German right extremists. And they pointed out that the timeline relates to an illegitimate kid of his coming out trans. So is this just anger and denial or does he want to become the first trillionaire or both? Your thoughts?
  16. Did he have a wife named incontinentia?? These maga's are very sophisticated.
  17. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/trump-s-accusations-against-south-africa-spark-white-privilege-self-mockery/ar-AA1yOvbb This would be funny if not so blatantly racist. "USA, USA, USA!" comedian Bouwer Bosch chants in a TikTok video as he tells a friend he is moving to the United States. "Why did you get refugee status?" the friend asks. "Cause I'm white, bro!" he responds, before adding that he will be back to his South African beach house in the summer, to attend a golf tournament and go to AfrikaBurn - South Africa's answer to the Burning Man festival. In an Instagram video titled "A day in the life of an oppressed white South African", a woman lies yawning in bed. "My husband brought me an iced coffee today because the most oppressive thing about this country is actually the sun," she says.
  18. No there isn’t. he’s a petulant child as are those who support him. Retribution is the thing. Exactly zero of his actions so far will have a positive effect on inflation. This will definitely increase costs for many items. So much for helping the working class.
  19. I guess you didn’t read it. It costs much more tomake a nickel which will Ned to be made in much larger quantities. The net result will be a significant increase in costs. Nothing to do with being up to date. What college course taught this? Seems most appropriate for a high school civics class. Two ad hominem on 1 pane of posts. Tells us much.
  20. Brilliant idea from the stable genius https://finance.yahoo.com/news/getting-rid-penny-introduces-problem-162747341.html
  21. Well, yes. Because musk. Apartheid was cool. https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/08/africa/trump-executive-order-freeze-aid-south-africa-intl/index.html
  22. My fav (we're professional athletes").
