  1. nope. this is all about castrating the judicial branch and consolidating presidential power. he's removed almost all department leaders that might consider questioningg his policies. He's removed all military leaders that might have independent opinions. And he's vilified and attacked several groups including academics and immigrants. History repeats. And you're cheering it on. deplorable. how much federal tax did you pay last year?
  2. lying, cheating sack of orange shite... https://www.mediaite.com/trump/trump-touts-seemingly-doctored-photo-of-abrego-garcias-hand-in-attempt-to-prove-maryland-man-is-gang-member/
  3. Well, there's your false choice again. We can choose to be decent. We can choose to honor the obvious intent of the founders...we can choose to respect due process whichh is clearly on trial here. Or we can choose mob rule. Never an attractive option. I don't like it. Maybe it;s just me and my peeps...
  4. Good Lord, you admire these shites. You know the IRA? These f'ers are far worse.
  5. I won't. They are scum. They are traitors. They are worthless. Are they you? Why should Fauci face the law. He faced Ebola, AIDS, all kinds of ordinary incurable diseases (measles is popular right now) and didn't flinch. Who have you risked your life for recently?
  6. Dude, he carefully chose this play to force decent people (who are his enemy) to have to very publicly fight for the sanctity of the constitution in a dubious cause. Because that's what decent people do and the constitution demands.
  7. isn't there something about loving your enemy in the Christian Bible?

  10. or....she realizes that flattery will get herea long way. You won't be seeing the Chinese doing it.
  11. you might consider this neighborhood https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia's_14th_congressional_district
  12. Nope. I like wide open spaces and plenty of room. Is someone or something forcing you to live inner city?
  13. youjust said you're ok with a $40 sandwich...
  14. where did the mean dark man touch you?
  15. no one is calling for Americans to bow their heads to other countries. It's not either or. We need countries with common interests to trust and respect us . Without that, we are on our own. That sounds good to MAGA's until they find out how much things will cost and what they'll have to do without when the full effects of isolationism come to fruition. That will be soon. And I suppose many MAGAs have never nor will ever travel internationally for pleasure. For those that do, it's going to become less pleasurable.
  16. All very true. But 1/3 of the country and 1/2 "Republicans" support authoritarianism. They don't have the smarts to look down the road and see what that might mean for THEM. Their reality of their lives is often so far removed from ours that we don't understand the desperation needed for them to end up here.. I don't know what the answer is. Perhaps dividing the country up due to irreconcilable differences. I know which side will be more prosperous...
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/news/mayor-mitchell-ice-sent-bedford-080346114.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall Is the guy with the axe the same guy as here?: https://www.splcenter.org/resources/extremist-files/veterans-patrol/ trump may have called up the brownshirts. It was bound to happen...
  18. don't waste your time. know who they are According to a February study by the Pew Research Center, 32 percent of Americans believe a military regime or authoritarian leader (described as a strong leader who can make decisions without interference from parliament or the courts) would be a good way of governing the country. A PRRI study last October found that 38 percent of Americans (and 48 percent of Republicans, 38 percent of independents, and 29 percent of Democrats) think the country needs a leader who will “break some rules if that’s what it takes to set things right.” This 32 percent is over represented on this board. They lose if they try to play by the rules so they're all in for ignoring them.
  19. That's easy. In the white supremacist universe.
  20. A nice video piece on South Dkota voters current views on trump. This region of SD voted 70% trump. I used to attend a conference run by the U of South Dakota med school held at Big Sky for several years. The way the shipping exec describes the people strikes me as accurate. Some are seeing the light ( or the dark). Some still aren't. https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/16/politics/video/south-dakota-trump-tariffs-elle-reeve-digvid
  21. Nope. Idiots frequently do stupid things. This was a popular show back when America’s supposedly great. There were lots of ads for Barbasol, listerine and deodorant.
  22. Those offenses against the constitution were chosen because the causes are unpopular. That’s the point of them. But standing up for the unpopular who are protected under the rule of law is always correct and admirable despite the political risks. You wouldn’t understand.
  23. We are losing to China at the top and the bottom of our populations. They know this. Prohibiting interracial marriage is in no way analogous to allowing 1 st amendment protected speech and protests. This is about putting intellectuals in their place. Harvard is fulfilling their patriotic obligation battling this fascist.
