  1. What really bothers me is that Philly isn't even going to blink at paying him. It will be a deal done and over with, oh, and they made the playoffs last year.

As an organization the Bills suck, spend money on nobody and pee themselves when something challenging comes their way.

...oh, when I say challenging, I mean the Peters situation not the failing to get paperwork in on the Dockery trade that never took place...that was just plain stupid and irresponsible.

    Whoopsie, we're sorry!

  2. waiting for the fans to scream bloody murder and ask for edwards head, and that the bills should sign willy because he's a winner, now where have i seen this before?

Oh, Ish, I'm not saying we should pick him up, I'm just saying someone should and he could be worth the late round investment and 2-3 year project as a practice squad or 3rd string player.

...um, and yes, what you suggested probably will happen. :D

  3. Here's my advice to people who have a conflict between their religious obligations and the scheduling of sporting events: Decide which one means more to you.

    Bingo.

Additionally, I like to think that I respect everyone's religious beliefs and i do sympathize with those having a problem with this.

However, I do also respect TIVO and Stubhub.com, which are 2 ways to sort of resolve the problem.

  4. Not only do I think he'll get drafted, I also believe he was a bad International Bowl performance away from being a possible 5th round pick.

What were his numbers again? I think 26 TDs and 5 pics headed into the IB, with 2,600 or so yards (could be off on that) and a QB rating in the 130s or so (remember, QB rating system is different in College).

He can throw the deep ball and is about 6'-4" 215lbs.

    Should he start? No

Should he be a high draft pick? No

However, he does seem to have everything you need in this league and some numbers to back it up.

    Good luck, Drew.

  5. under it's little player notes that the Chiefs will be fielding offers for Tony Gonzalez. This is slightly different news than TG to the Falcons, although they do mention the Falcons as a good suitor for TG.

The notes simply say that the Chiefs will be looking for a second rounder for TG. All I know is that the Bills 2nd rounder is higher than Atlanta's. What I really wonder though, is that if there is really interest in TG or not. One would have to think so.

Could you imagine a lineup of: One back set....

    RB: Lynch/Freddie

    WR: Evans

    WR: Owens

    WR: Reed

    TE: Gonzalez

I mean, how do you stop that?

COME ON, ONE MORE MOVE.......One more. Please, lol. Hey Russ, I'll buy TG's jersey!

Come on, Lv, you know...YOU KNOW he doesn't want to come here and the chiefs would not do that to him.

...although it would be nice! ;)

  6. Pretend for a second that you're not a Bills fan:

SOMEONE ELSE: Hey, looks like Tampa signed Buffalo's Angelo Crowell.

    YOU: Who?

    ----SCENE-----

Seriously though, it's not a hole if the guy hasn't been on the field since 2007.

Yeah, I'm completely there with ya, Big Cat.

No offense to anybody but I never really understood the whole, "Crowell is gone, we have another hole to fill" comments.

Its kind of like, "Crap, the Jets signed Jim Leonard, now we have to find another safety!"

  7. I hope he doesn't have three years remaining on his contract.

They just gave Rich Eisen* a new contract and he played it right; just show up every day, do your job, and the Network will take care of you.

    Schefter should know better.

    * I have no idea whether Eisen got a new deal. I just wanted to keep this thought going. I know some of you are sticklers for that.

  8. the only other home playoff game they had during the 90's outside of the super bowl years was the Jacksonville game and I dont recall that being blacked out

The Miami game where we ran the ball like crazy and which was the last game of Shula's career.

Remember, we lost the next week in Pittsburgh when Bruce had the flu and they busted Kelly's shoulder.

...and I believe we did sell out that Miami game.

  9. I liked Jennings alot and hated to see him go, but I have to disagree with you guys, and it is just based upon the numbers.

Jennings has played 23 out of a possible 64 games in San Fran, and although McCargo is essentially only a warm body on the roster I am not a big fan of paying OT for 5.75 games a year.

...that would just be a little too frustrating.

  10. I think he may have made $500,000 per year with the Gamblers.

His first Bills deal was five years, 7.5 million total...which made him the highest paid player in the NFL in 1986.

Then I believe somewhere during the 90 season he was resigned for 3 million dollars a year, or so.

Sorry I don't have much to back that up, but that is what I remember.

  11. I hope for the best for him, but I don't see him being 'issue free' from his 22nd year to his 25th year. Probation also means routine unannounced drug and alchol screening and reporting all his activities. If he 'forgets' something he did/attended and it comes to light, it's a violation of parole. Then there's the paparazzi/ill-willers who'll be watching him to see if he slips up.

Just don't see him pulling this off successfully..

Yup, I agree with the OP and with Chandler.

This is a whole different ball game than someone having a "brush" with the law. Now, he is just plain under the microscope and I hate to say this but I'm worried about him even having legal troubles from his 22nd year to his 23rd year.

  12. I grabbed some guy- you know, he don't know if he wants to buy, I pushed his face right in the f*cking hood, I said, 'You buy this f*ckin car or I'll break your f*ckin head.'

    GET BRETT WEIR I SAID!!!!!

Aww, ya see, we already got a problem.

    Best. Jerky Boys. Bit. Ever.

  13. Not when you're making multi millions a year. It's his fault he never learned what a condom is and it's cost him.

To be honest with you, SD, you are right on about that.

God bless children, they are a gift, but come on. It did not have to come to this, because he is not just wrecking his life now, he is wrecking the life of innocent children.

    What a dill weed.
