  1. Sorry, digressing a little bit...

    Brown and Beasley

    Poyer and Hyde

There just was a sweet spot time when Beane could not only grab free agents, but guys at reasonable numbers that were just ridiculously impactful and completely outplayed their contracts.

NOW it should be just because guys want to be here because of Allen, but it doesn't have the same result, other than Bosa but they are paying him and he is in the prove time of his career.

here's hoping they continue to take full advantage of Palmer, and bring Moore up, as well.

That's it.  Sorry for the tangent.

  2. @boyst I want this.

    Thank you.

    Keep it up.

Howard is like me.  The Bengals are in my head.  I also thought the Falcons would be a tough out.

It is one thing to follow this weekly and another to see the week by week.

I don't know how in the world anyone right now...right now, mind you, could justify arguing the Bills losing to the Texans.

I don't even recognize Stroud anymore.

  3.

Before Sunday's game we talked about how slow we are at starting the season, but we were so mesmerized by the win over the Ravens and Josh's Herculean play that we forgot about it.

We don't have to rehash it going back years when we can just go back to the previous season.  Against the Cardinals, with I believe two minutes left in the first half, we were down 17-3.  At that point it became, "let Josh be Josh," and we eked out a home opening win and were again amazed at the talent of our QB.

Full disclosure to what I have previously stated on this Board: I hate "Everybody Eats."  I don't view it as just a distribution of passes, but also an entire offensive philosophy of run/pass balance, as well as glorification of intermediate, screen and behind the LOS passes.

If you like it, fine.  However, I find it to be something to rest your laurels on against some mediocre teams when it gives you those almost easy 30 point games and the other team can only muster 17 or so.  I think it is misleading, especially when you try to impose it on, and against, serious contenders.

Now, though, people are unwilling to extrapolate Josh's MVP season and the success we had last year with middling talent from the offensive identity we've taken on.

Personally, Josh turning the ball over doesn't scare me.  Josh being an effective game manager when he can bring so much more to the table does.

He's 29 years old and maybe halfway through his career.  He is potentially THE GOAT.  They don't have to over think his talent or try to play peekaboo with it to the rest of the NFL.  They don't have to worry about his liabilities.

In summation, I want Josh to be Josh all the time.  I can live with that more than trailing at halftime to mediocre teams before pulling it out, or trailing late in games to powerhouses and praying for miracles.

As far as Sunday don't be impressed by the Jets, or worse yet don't make them impressive.  Once you step on the snake's neck from kickoff go ahead and bash its head in.

    Go Bills!

  4.

Since we seem to be leaning hard into the seniors like Johnson and Prater for special teams lately I just want the Bills front office to know I am in my 50s, I have a low center of gravity, I am tough to move and I can be an upback on punt team.

I am reachable most afternoons on the patio at Salsaritas on Transit in Clarence.

  5. A buddy of mine and I were talking after church yesterday.

We were buzzing on the idea of having Kincaid, Knox and Hawes on the field, all at once.

    ...low and behold.

    I want more.

  6.

Many teams lose 3 guys since the final preseason game that the guys either didn't play in or didn't get hurt in.

That bottom 3 rating in the NFL for training staff and facilities we saw last week kind of checks out right about now.

FFS this is ridiculous and you can't even remotely argue otherwise.

I feel the same way but listen:  the last thing we want are lame ass ravens fans coming over here seeings us with our tail between our legs.  Jus sayin

    DD, please.

That is why I want to vomit even just thinking about losing this game.

I’d give my left nut to win this one, and my left nut is my favorite.

  8. I love the Bills.  The Bills forever.  Long live the Bills.

…but man this one feels like an L.

    Namely for 2 reasons:

We’ve started slowly every year this decade, except for the Rams game, and

This D smells so much like a late January Bills D…3 Dlinemen down, we don’t know who one of the starting CBs is, and our safeties are playing together against live ammo for the first time in awhile.

    I hope I am wrong.

    Go Bills!
