  1. Not only that. What if they're BOTH playing really well? McDermott's comments AND the snap counts (Benford 38, Elam 30) indicate that the two are neck and neck.
  2. Yeah well of course now that the Bills destroyed their confidence and traumatized them for months. Same with Tennessee. The Bills will crush the Titans and relegate them to licking their wounds for the rest of the season.
  3. Week 1 is usually a bit unpredictable. My upset picks are the Browns over the Panthers, the Vikings over the Packers (I believe that line flipped), and the Raiders over the Chargers. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys beat the Bucs or if the Steelers beat the Bengals but I'm not expecting that to happen. Here are the lines: Steelers Bengals -6.5 Patriots Dolphins -3.5 Saints -4.5 Falcons Eagles -5.5 Lions 49ers -6.5 Bears Colts -7.5 Texans Browns Panthers -0.5 Ravens -6.5 Jets Jaguars Commanders -2.5 Packers Vikings -0.5 Chiefs -6.5 Cardinals Giants Titans -5.5 Raiders Chargers -3.5 Buccaneers -2.5 Cowboys Broncos -6.5 Seahawks
  4. What can't you believe about the ticket prices?
  5. The offseason improvements by the Bills have already made themselves abundantly self-evident. So I ask again... where did the Titans improve themselves this offseason? I know they lost Harold Landry, AJ Brown, Rodger Saffold, David Quessenberry and DaQuan Jones... WHO DID THEY ADD? Is there any actual real hope for improvement in Tennessee or is this just a lesser and older version of last year's Titans? Mini-Marvs 74 Titans 3
  6. The Poyers drive the Maserati Levante when it snows. Yes. The Bills offer was for much more guaranteed and more years than the Rams and Cowboys. It wasn't close. Exactly. This is where Poyer reporting to camp and not making himself the center of attention has been rewarded. Poyer played the good soldier. Had Poyer played the distraction/diva card this doesn't happen.
  7. Great news! This is what I thought would happen... a sweetening of the current deal to satisfy the player with the hopes of something more permanent later on. Now to focus on the objective... no more distractions.
  8. Great stuff and thanks for posting. Among the many great points that Erik makes is that for intents and purposes, when Gilliam is on the field you can call it 12 personnel or 21 personnel because he's a wild card/combo fullback/tight end. The Bills don't run the exact same concepts as they did back then but Gilliam looks to be the best blocking fullback the team has had since Sam Gash. As I've said before McDermott is a closet Neanderthal and there will be a game this year where the Bills bring the club out and keep swinging it. As the season progresses this blocking unit will just get better and better. For a week one performance I'm elated by the transition from Daboll/Johnson to Dorsey/Kromer.
  9. PMT? Yes, since last year the Titans have lost AJ Brown, Harold Landry, Saffold, and Quessenberry from their starting lineup. Have they added anyone?
  10. Yes. And please get Brenda Lee to sing it if possible!
  11. Also, the building is 42 years old. Some would argue that the AC wasn't needed back then but that it is now.
  12. What a joy that you revived an existing thread and didn't start yet another needless one. Thank you. Another possibility is that the competition is continuing and that they will both continue to audition/compete for the job. And as has been pointed out, the Bills and Packers were the only two teams to trade away offensive line depth at the cutdown to 53 players. This would seem to indicate that the Bills O-line situation is not bad.
  13. Yeah it's only 3 pages but we're definitely weary.
  14. https://www.foxweather.com/weather-news/sofi-stadium-los-angeles-bills-rams "The stadium that closed out the 2021 football season hosting Super Bowl LVI will once again be in the spotlight Thursday as both blazing heat and the first regular NFL season game get underway. The Los Angeles Rams will host the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, in temperatures that are expected to reach the 90s but cool down before kickoff. Meteorologists say a ridge of high pressure centered over the West is responsible for the excessive heat, which has triggered heat alerts for more than 50 million residents. Similar to the record hit during the Super Bowl, the region is in the grasp of an ongoing heat wave that has pushed many communities above the century mark. The outdoor temperatures could resemble those on the field as the $5 billion does not have air conditioning. Engineers said the specially designed roof and walls are situated in a manner to allow the 3.1 million square feet facility to naturally cool through breezes off the ocean. The openings in the stadium are designed to pull in ocean breezes through their aerodynamic shape and supposedly can tune wind flow. The stadium is located just over four miles away from the Pacific Ocean, where water temperatures are in the lower 70s."
  15. I got to thinking about this on hearing that the Cheatriots*** arrived in Miami today... a full 5 days before their game with the Dolphins, in order to acclimate to the weather. Since last Thursday the daytime highs in LA have ranged from 95 to 100 degrees. It will likely be above 90 degrees when the Bills and Rams kickoff at 5:20 PDT. SoFi has a canopy to block UV rays but is considered open air without AC. I'm told the Cardinals-Rams game last October was very hot in the stadium which causes me to wonder if the heat will be a factor. I'm mildly surprised this hasn't yet come up in discussion here or in the media.
  16. At about 2:30 in the video when they showed all our fans, it started getting REALLY HEAVY. Going back to the Kyle Brandt topic and the discussion of bandwagon jumpers and Johnny-come-latelys, I feel the same way about players (whether it's Von Miller or OBJ) as I do about fans... anyone who wants in on the Bills quest for glory is welcome. We should embrace those who want to share our love of the Bills.
  17. I don't know Kyle Brandt other than in name probably because I don't follow pop culture and don't watch TV except for Bills games. That said, I think we should be welcoming to those who decide they want to hop on the bandwagon. Come one, come all... the more the merrier. They should be welcome in our house. We have everything to gain and nothing to lose by their embrace.
  18. And yet as dollars 2 donuts points out, only 1 out of every 5 QB performances last year (112-544) resulted in a 300 yard game. That's probably fewer than most people would think.
  19. Actually the NFL season consists of 272 regular season games... keep in mind that each game involves 2 teams so there are only 16 games per week on average. Regardless of the debate, what's interesting to me is that last year there were 103 individual 100 yard rushing games vs 112 300 yard passing games. I would have expected there to be fewer 100 yard rushing games and more 300 yard passing games.
  20. Or a shyt ton of guys with slide rules.
  21. I'm not gonna go check but haven't the Steelers and Ravens been consistent contenders during the Cheatriots' reign?
