He’s the best RB in the league and it’s not even close when you consider the system he’s in now. They gave up a 2, 3, and 4 this year, and a 5 next year. Sounds like a lot until you realize they had assets to play with considering they got comp picks for losing minority coaches. That’s free assets. Considering Carolina wanted multiple 1sts at the start of the trade deadline, I’d say SF fleeced them. And the injury concerns weren’t a real thing. He wanted out of Carolina. His family has deep ties to the Shanahans. He’s obviously all in. Only the bills and chiefs have better odds to win the SB and it’s a slight advantage. Just gotta pray eagles get healthy so we don’t have to play SF in the Super Bowl.

These are all great stats but they’re just that, stats. Stats will also tell you we have a pretty good defense but my eyes tell me in clutch situations they’re going to falter. I base that off Von being injured and Frazier not being good of course. Agree the 49ers schedule has been easy and that’s part of why I liked them as a bet with good value. Maybe it’s just 30+ years off watching the bills crumble that’s got me worried too, who knows. I just think the best roster will win out. Hopefully I’m wrong though and josh carries us all the way.

This. I’d like to think that it’s a matter of time before the ball bounces our way but I don’t even get excited when the other team fumbles because I know they’ll just get it back. When we fumble I know it’s going to bounce to them though. Forcing the fumble isn’t luck but which direction the oddly shaped ball bounces is all luck. And we have no good luck. Not forcing turnovers just means josh has to always be Superman and perfect on nearly every drive. Our passive defensive philosophy is stupid in that our goal shouldn’t be to allow the other team to drive down the field. We should be looking to get the ball back however we can go josh. It’s why I can’t in my mind see us winning it all. It holds us back too often and ultimately will be our downfall.

How exactly? Who is blocking Bosa? They only need to rush 4 and double Diggs. We have no other legit true options. Josh would have to literally be Superman. On the flip side, do you trust our defense to get stops? We let Mostert run all over us, what do you think CMC would do? We can’t tackle so what do you think their YAC machine would do to us? You couldn’t create a worse matchup in a lab for us to play against.

Lots of people with their heads in the sand on this trade and the overall 49ers team. Go back through my posts, I bet them to win the SB the day after lance got hurt and Jimmy became the starter. Why? They have the best roster in the NFL (no question about it) and Jimmy has gotten them there before. Purdy is a wildcard but that team is so loaded he just needs to score 13-17 points per game and they’re winning. CMC made this offense almost unstoppable in key moments. They can run it whenever the hell they want or swing it to him or Deebo and they’ve got Aiyuk and Kittle in the seams. Everyone of them has monster YAC ability too. Also let’s get real, they have 1 tough game in the NFC playoffs at Philly and no one is built better to beat that team on the road and do you trust Hurts to come up big in the playoffs? Not me. Once they get to the SB, I trust their coaching staff to come up with ways to score points and then get stops too. With Bosa being the best in the league, they’re going to wreak havoc. As running QBs, Mahomes and Allen present the biggest problems in the SB but at some point our OL will crash and josh will get strip sacked in a key moment. Our d can’t tackle either so they’re the worst possible matchup for us. The thing is I think Cincinnati is going to the SB and burrow can’t run so they’ll be fine.

And then wasting a pick on Bernard over Parham is unacceptable too. My worry is Beane isn’t good at drafting o lineman either. Spencer Brown sucks.

This. Cook has come on some but it’s telling that even with all the injuries, our draft picks can’t make much of an impact. The Bernard pick is the one that made me throw my remote and he’s a waste. I’m more pissed about it now than even then. Parham was the right choice. Now we have to figure out the OL still since it’s such a disaster.

I’m not sure why people thought he was the savior. He wasn’t a top corner or playmaker even before the injury

I think the Giants keep it close and the Vikings win a close one. Not as confident about those as other games though. Especially SF -4.5 over TB. I’m not even sure TB can get to 10 points and with Bosa playing today, Brady is in trouble. Niners 30 TB 7. Cowboys and bengals roll too

We need OL and WR weapons. Anyone with eyes sees that. Unfortunately Von getting hurt will likely push Beane to waste a premium pick on DE again. Combine that with us now getting to see how Epenesa and Basham are truly just JAGs over the rest of this season and he’ll likely double down and draft another DE or 2. My problem is how little return his picks have gotten us on the DL so I’m not good with him using picks to draft DL. Snag the OL for josh and some weapons.

Yep I can’t understand any of this either. Why teams choose to simply not defend Kelce is beyond me. He’s what makes them go. If the other JAG receivers beat you then fine. Im not letting kelce run free without jamming him. Bengals figured it out. Others aren’t paying attention.
