  1. Incredibly impressive renovation if thats the case.
  2. You've gotta be kidding me. It actually looks like a futuristic stadium too. Not like a Macy's.
  3. The lower bowl is awful IMO. Fairly flat, the curve of the field disorients people in row 10 and less, and everyone stands the entire game. Personally, I find the lower bowl a miserable experience.
  4. Exceptions to the rule do not change the rule.
  5. For at least a few months i’ll be able to dream of KC starting 0-2 and then having 9 of their next 15 games on the road.
  6. At least it’s at night. Negates the sideline shade issue.
  7. The Chiefs playoff game a couple months ago was the first time McD has challenged twice in one game since 2019. One time... in 4 seasons. He rarely ever challenges. He challenged 6 total times last season (in 19 games). And he has only challenged 33 times ever in his 125 games coached for the Bills. Challenging twice in 1 game? Pfft. Better chance of getting struck by lightning. So IF he was ever burning timeouts as to avoid wasting a challenge, that is monumentally stupid. Not only does it create the potential of you losing two (2) timeouts if you end up losing the eventual challenge, but it also means that he wasn't aware of his own pattern of rarely ever challenging twice in one game (or even once!)
  8. I just mean I disagree with McDermott a lot, so its only fair to point out times when he does things that I believe are wise as well. This is one of them. I don't blame you for being skeptical. This is the first time any team has ever done this - We are trend setting and therefore entering unchartered territories. None of us know for sure how it will work out but I'm hopeful!
  9. He did it once in 2018 or 2019 if I recall correctly, and then he got (rightfully so) bashed pretty bad after the time he did in 2021 and then I never saw him do it again. I think he learned his lesson. But my point is simply that I hope having Parry on staff provides a seasoned voice of reason for McD. McD is a great coach in many aspects but game handling is not his strong suit and I think having Parry on staff could be a great benefit for us.
  10. This makes sense in a vacuum where timeouts don't exist. But in the NFL, timeouts are far more valuable than challenges. Which is why it costs you a timeout if you fail a challenge. That is the disincentive to not challenge. PS, take a guess at how many times McDermott has had 2 challenges in one game in his entire 7 year Bills career? To McDermott's credit, he agrees with me. He *never* made that mistake again (calling a timeout before a challenge) after he did in 2021.
  11. Thats awesome! The team who hired him hadn’t been released when I posted this thread. Absolutely love this decision by the Bills. Great decision by McDermott and company. They saw that we were deficient in something and went out to find ways to improve it. Kudos to McD and all involved in this decision. Nothing wrong with getting help in areas that you need it.
  12. Thats just a terrible reason to take a timeout. The challenge is a timeout if you lose. Just challenge it. The only risk is running out of challenges - but go ahead and take a guess at how many times McDermott has had 2 challenges in one game in his entire 7 year Bills career.
  13. This is an interesting idea by whichever NFL team hired him. John Parry will now be part of the teams crew that tells the Head Coach when to review a play and when not to. I love when teams do innovative things like this. “Officials look at the game so differently than players, coaches, and fans,” Parry said. “So to have somebody up [in the booth]: Hey, this is the mechanic, this is why that person made that call. And no matter what happens to this replay, if they flip it, here’s where the ball will be spotted. Here’s the down in distance. The clock’s gonna start in the ready for play, or it’s a 10-second runoff, so you could take a timeout. So you better start thinking about that, will you take one? Will you not?” https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/rules-analyst-john-parry-leaves-espn-takes-job-with-an-unnamed-team To be honest, I believe a hire like this could really help someone like McDermott, who in the past has taken a timeout right before challenging a play (which makes absolutely no sense at all).
  14. Yeah I think they're right about that. I think there may be some upset lower bowl season ticket holders who realize that the upper deck has a better deal. Maybe you wont be as close to the action, but you will dryer, warmer (because you're dry) and have a pretty steep (good viewing angle).
  15. I’m starting to look at this from a different perspective. I think the upper deck seats - whatever they’re calling those (500’s?) - may be the equivalent of our current club seats. - Fully under cover or close to it - Less crowding due to the larger concourses the stadium will have - Larger bathrooms - More food options The only thing really missing is the heat (which many club seats aren’t going to have anyway).
  16. The poster you responded to never said Bass was holding Allen back. He said that its not wise to risk a full season of an elite QB's youth with a risky kicker. You misframed what he said because you wanted to be sarcastic/edgy. Bass is 70% in the playoffs. He misses 30% of his playoff kicks. That's not good. The posters point was carrying that risk has a relatively high potential of wasting an entire season of positives with one kick.
  17. Why do people do this? You know darn well the point he is making up but instead of acknowledging it, you twist it into a sarcastic reply that you knew he did not mean. And his point has merit. It's one thing to give players numerous chances when you are a mediocre 9-7 team. But when you have a franchise QB in their prime, you don't take chances of potentially throwing away an entire season down the gutter due to one players mistakes. And unfortunately, with kickers, those mistakes are magnified.
  18. Im not an architect or stadium expert, but I have researched the past dozen or so NFL stadiums that have been built and the Bills are the *only* team who played coy with the renderings, what you receive, more than cursory details of updated amenities, etc. Even other teams who did the timeshare gimmick (example; Minnesota), at least released the pricing.
  19. Hansel is literally the last person on Twitterverse that I would be using to back up an argument. The number of times he has posted delusional arguments, been proven wrong, or perhaps even straight up lied (unconfirmed whether lying or just ignorant) is incredible. For example: He will say things like: "of those 111 trade ups, there have been 65 cheaper trade ups" ... but then provide zero proof. It is as if he just says things that he hopes are true and hopes no-one double checks. A few minutes later someone in the comments will often completely blow up his stat/argument and he will never acknowledge it. I would love to know if Seth Walder is right, or Hansel is right, but neither of them provide any evidence. Literally zero. However, judging by Hansel's reputation alone, I guess I have to lean toward Walder until someone provides contrary evidence. Sports Illustrated also quoted the stat about it being one of the cheapest trade-ups ever.
  20. These are just excuses. Most players drafted in the first 4 rounds get several chances on multiple teams. If it were just the circumstance they were drafted into, they would surely show their worth on another team. One example is Sammy Watkins. Yes, he was drafted into a poor situation with EJ Manuel, but he had many other opportunities - including with a HOF QB - and still couldn’t put anything together.
  21. Wasn’t me, but glad it was confirmed.
  22. Just FYI: Legends has begun selling $10K club PSL’s now. I was also informed by two separate season ticket holders that they were told by agents that there's no need to worry about being moved to the "back of the line” if they don’t purchase at their meeting, since there will be seats left over to purchase after everyone has had their turn. Aka, they’re not on pace to sell out the clubs so you will have a second chance to purchase even if you decline at the presentation. * this doesn’t include field club
  23. Uhm, was this a confession? “The NFL spent $20 million and found it was ‘more probable than not’ that I was ‘generally aware’ that someone may have deflated my footballs,” Brady said. “You could have just given me the $20 million and I would just told you I ***** did it.”
