The fact of the matter is the owners have mailed it in. They could've told Beane get us some players that are not on the trash heap. They are cutting cost and waiting until they get their ROI. It's going to backfire as this team is spiraling down quickly and the owners will not fill those PSL seats with this crap on the field. When he chose to take this team off the field he was over his head in that decision. His job is to get the players ready to play. The work done over this whole year is wasted. Many players now out on IR put their bodies in physical danger to win. Never has a coach done what he did. It's understandable to worry about players hurt during the game but they get the best medical care on this planet. It isn't his job to make sure every player is feeling good about themselves. He's here to coach and not forfeit games because he believes he is there to be players parents.

I wouldn't back that at all. These are professionals and the least they would dedicate the game to #3.

Imagine if a 18 year old soldier watched his brother die on the battlefield and the military said we are too devastated to go on? All football is violent and sometimes dangerous.
