McDermott and Daboll seem like good coaches that motivate their players and install good systems. Their play calling and gameday decisions are head scratching a lot. I'm just hoping it can improve, because other aspects of McDermott's coaching seems really good... I actually think it has improved some. They got outcoached way worse last year in the AFCCG.

Morse is going to retire (I think), Feliciano is going to be cut. Williams I think will also be cut. He was signed to tackle money and got demoted to guard because he sucked. We will have to replace those people somehow...

McD made it sound like somebody screwed up something. I'm thinking Bass was supposed to do one of those high kickoffs just short of the endzone. We did those all year.

#1. Hughes and Addison were a step too slow and got way too far upfield the entire first half. Slightly faster, or slightly smarter and we probably get a big lead early. #2. Play calling got weird and conservative in the middle of the game leading to punts and 3-and-outs (which tired out the defense, screwing us late in the game) #3. Terrible defensive coaching/scheming lost us the game at the end. #4. Soft defensive holding allowed the Chiefs to turn 3 points into 7. Chiefs were holding and running illegal pick plays all game with no calls. I really didn't understand that call if they were going to let them play. I hope Daboll and Frazier are gone. Hopefully Buffalo is a destination for good coordinators due to our talent level.

Maybe he gets asked to do too much given the scheme, but he gets burned a lot. He seems to either choose the wrong gap, or be chasing down the ball carrier from behind on every big play the other team gets.

Not to mention scoring the go ahead TD twice in the final 2 minutes of the game! Bonkers!

Exactly, the go ahead TD that Mahomes threw was just a basic crosser that Hill took to the house (on basically prevent defense). It wasn't anything special. Allen never seems to get those. It could be his vision, but also I think scheme.

Play calling was way too conservative considering we had a perfect game last week. The lull in the middle of the game was pretty much it. Also, aside from this game Daboll had pretty poor play calling all season. In the middle of the year we were having offensive line issues and he wouldn't adjust (see Jags game). It cost us several games. Maybe he is a good play designer, but he is not a good play caller. Even on the final 2 drives it was all Allen. Play calling was not good.

Starters that I think will be gone: - Mitch Morse (retire) - Feliciano (maybe, low dead cap) - Daryl Williams (maybe, low dead cap) - Cody Ford - Hughes (retire) - Addison - Star Lotulelei (retire) - Vernon Butler - Emmanuel Sanders - Cole Beasley or McKenzie (probably only keep one) - Mitch Trubisky - Zach Moss (will have to earn his job in training camp) It's a tall order to replace the above, I would also like to add: - Better depth CB than Wallace (probably not happening) - A replacement for Edmunds - Speed back mid-rounds, better than Breida - Pass rush from somewhere?! Who will replace Addison and Hughes? I have hope for Rousseau, but Epenesa seems like a bust and I don't know what to think about Basham (he's been a healthy scratch a lot of the year).

False start killed a drive that was 100% home field advantage. We need to beat whoever the equivalent of the Jags are next year...

They could have done that high short kickoff thing they've done all year, but I agree it really is on the defense.

Hey, credit where it is due. He had a perfect punt to the 1 yard line, and even tackled Tyreek Hill which isn't exactly in the job description. He probably should have done a directional kick out of bounds on the big Hill return after the penalty forced a re-punt (tired coverage team), but I'm guessing that isn't exactly his decision.

He choked big time at the end of the game in regulation. He played way too soft and conservative, which is his MO. Hopefully he gets hired away.

Klein has had more impact plays, and has played like 10% as many snaps. Maybe there is something I'm missing here...

On the big completion to Hill in OT, Pringle was blocking downfield like 2 seconds before the pass was thrown.

We need to use up some clock and get some points. Defense needs a rest! That 3-and-out killed us!
