No, the injury to the Giants' DB Adoree' Jackson at the end of the first quarter. The Bills were moving, he went down and, after play re-started, the offense seemed to go off boil. There were only two O plays after Harris' injury in the second quarter - a nice pass to Diggs for 19 yards, then the tipped INT.

There's a difference between touting his defense whilst showing respect to other players.

Pretty sure Tirico said 'targeted' but catches makes more sense.

The numbers were taken from the first six weeks, where the Bills certainly DIDN'T have an issue with offense, the heat game in Miami aside.

At the beginning of the third quarter (first TD drive), Tirico mentioned that Diggs had been targeted six times. Not sure if he was right as it felt more than that but, if so, it means he was targetted ten times in three series in the second half. Is that really that bad?

The biggest blunder of the game was Daboll's calling at the end of the second quarter. Well, that or how Taylor translated it. I didn't see anyone call for a punt at the time on the GDT. It was logical - go up eight an put themselves in a position where even a two XP TD would tie the game and take it to OT. People were fuming when they elected to punt rather than go for FG in the first quarter.

I was referring to the Jets game - Josh was in a funk there and no one seemed capable of bringing him out of it. This was an issue under Daboll as well, when Dorsey was in the QB room. There needs to be someone within the franchise who can get into his head and calm him down. Yesterday was failure across the offense and, in fairness to him, other than a couple of throws (I don't think the INT was dreadful; it was great defensive play), so I'd put Josh towards the bottom of the list to blame.

Josh was playing badly, it's up to the OC to speak to him and get him on an even keel. Well, Dorsey or Brady. Josh is human. He will may mistakes, he seems an emotional guy so spiralling is a possibility. So someone needs to be with him to get him out of the funk. They failed against the Jets. Being the OC isn't just about playing calls, it's about man management. Is Dorsey the best person to manage Josh? I have my doubts. Saying that, Josh did seem to reset after going off the rails in the second quarter last night.

The Bills offense was fine for the first two plays of the following series - a good pass to to Diggs and a nice run from Murray. Then Jackson went down injured and the offense then, for some reason, struggled until the third quarter.

For all of the criticism of Knox for dropping a low pass - which wasn't a great throw - I thought Diggs drop in the first series was worse. Josh placed it well, away from the defensive player, just above head height, and it was catchable IMO. We see receivers make those catches week in, week out to help their QBs out (and, yes, we see players make catches that Knox messed up too).

I wouldn't say Josh struggled in the first two and a bit series - thought he looked excellent, albeit let down by his receivers. Then it all went to pieces until the third. This may be blasphemy but I don't think Diggs is playing as well as usual at the moment. He ran the wrong route last week whilst this week dropped a catchable ball, committed a false start and dropped a further tough catch, but one top quality WRs get their hands on, to end the third offensive series. Regarding the defense, they're down White, Milano and Jones so, IMO, they've decided to rush Miller back to offset that before he's fully ready. I have every sympathy for them and it's down to the offense to make plays and help them out. Not the other way round.

That was such a weird game. For the majority of the first Quarter Josh played well. The injury to Jackson seemed to throw the Bills offense completely. Before it, the offense was moving the ball well, minus errors from Diggs and Davis plus a missed trip. Then, after Jackson's injury, the offense - including Josh - seemed to lose all focus, with four bad plays to finish the third series, and not getting a grip until the third quarter.

The stupid thing is the first two offensive drives were fine, stopped by a bad drop from Diggs (which IMO was easier than what Knox is being crucified for), a missed tripping call and Davis' fumble. After that, the offense seemed to crumble until the third quarter. So what to do to improve the struggling offense? Just go back to what worked at the start of first quarter and second half. ETA: Watching back, even the start of the third offensive drive was nice - good plays using Diggs and Murray. Then it started to get quirky, with a weird incomplete and Diggs coming close quarters.

I guess the argument is, if he's looking at the ball, then the trip is accidental. If he's not looking at the ball then it isn't.

OK, so the Bills got away with one. But the Giants got away with one when tripping wasn't called on the first offensive drive which would have put the Bills in excellent field position when everything was clicking so not going to cry too much for them.

You're comparing someone who had been accused of rape with a player getting emotional with issues on a football field?

Looking at that he had it. Think it jarred out when his elbow hit the turf. It's a difficult one as I like Knox, but he cannot be relied upon in clutch situations. It's not for the want of trying - he simply does not have the hands.

If the offense doesn't sort itself out the game is going to be a repeat of tonight.

Well... we wanted to see if the Bills could win a one score game whilst putting up less then 20 points. There you go.

Except the Bills played badly last week and didn't turn it on this week. Something isn't right at OBD. Defense had an excuse without White, Milano and Jones. Offense? No excuse. The big money is there and, out if nowhere, it's become a big problem.
