In fairness, being over here for a long period of time means they get set up a proper base and acclimatise. There is no way the NFL should have allowed such an inbalance to start with. The Jags should have got one game in London, then told to return home.
-
Today's result is on the lack of execution and some poor playcalls on offense plus the Jags defense being allowed to play fast and loose with the rules. It was not down to class play on their part.
-
I think the biggest annoyance is every issue which the Bills offense has had which, perhaps naively, many thought had been sorted out, has clearly not been. After making steps forward from week one (as that was on Josh, not playcalling), today feels like a massive step back. ETA - Forgot to mention the horrendous injuries building up on defense.
-
The fact you have only 669 posts shows how many times the Bills have lost of late, considering you only appear after a defeat.
-
Your original post said Daboll as HC, Dorsey as OC?
-
Yes, I accept the argument the Bills should have an offensive geared head coach or someone with more experience at OC.
-
Like when we only put up 16 at the Titans? 17 at the Chiefs? 16 at the Steelers? SIX against the Jags? 15 in a miserable performance at home to the Colts? 10 against the Pats (albeit that was the wind game). Overall, the offense played fine under Daboll but then it has since for the most part. Yes, the Bills have nightmare games under Dorsey but they had them under Daboll too.
-
Not sure if you missed the number of injuries there were in defense? White, Milano, Jones, Miller only just coming back, Floyd limping at the half, Johnson off for a spell - goodness knows if he was completely fit on his return. And then it's a case of the offense not being able to dominate TOP meaning they kept returning to the field.
-
Diggs was completely out-wrestled by a 5ft 9 CB at one point.
-
No. Offensively the Bills were as much, if not more of, a mess under Daboll as they are sometimes under Dorsey. And he's hardly lighting it up with the Giants, after inexplicably going all in on Jones. Is that the kind of judgement call they need at Orchard Park?
-
It wasn't about injuries. The defense did well all things considered. All the offense needed to do was build TOP and keep them off the field. Talk abouyt complete and utter failure.
-
These garbage games wouldn't happen with Daboll? Really? Seem to recall them happening quite a bit. Shanahan and Josh would be intriguing. Shanahan likes running to a fixed plan; can Josh stick to one consistently?
-
Monday would have been too soon; they needed a day to recover. They could have even used the facilities on Tuesday then flown out. But it never should have been later than Tuesday night, especially as the UK is ahead. If they took a flight at, say, 10pm, then would have landed around 9.30am Wednesday. Then they'd have to adjust accordingly, but at least they would have had four days to do it.
-
Wasn't the first one tipped? Not sure what happened to the O Line today. Is their D Line that much better than the Dolphins?
-
They would have probably still flown out on the Friday night.
-
Tough one but agreed, unless the Dolphins go through an injury crisis, I think they'll win the AFCE. The Bills have too many injuries on Defense and the Offense is feast or famine.
-
The biggest coaching error was flying out on Friday. The Jags already had seven plus day advantage to adjust - why give them another three? Should have been given time to recover on Monday and flown out late Tuesday at the very worst. Hate cliches but fail to prepare and prepare to fail.
-
Josh wasn't blameless. He wasn't dire - he's not about to be ripped to shreds like he was after the Jets - but he had issues.
-
Not sure - last thing the Bills need is Daboll/Jones working it out before next week.
-
First seed went when the Bills were Rodgered by the Jets.
-
Trouble is I like him in the DC role. If he continues in the joint role, I think the Bills need someone far more experienced in the OC role.
-
Is the disadvantage called Ken Dorsey? The Bills feast against awful defenses but struggle against mediocre or better.
-
McDermott and Dorsey need to be challenged for the final run of plays - why was Harty not told to leave it? And then a hook and ladder? Dumb. Thick. Moronic. Stupid. Unforgivable.
-
For "Britain's Team", I don't know or have met a single Jags fan over here.
-
No - but not good enough considering the players at their disposal, especially on Offense.
