  1. It was a cheap way to add a DB coach and to possibly get Hyde a ring. I suspect Hyde will be on the staff next season. As to the OP, Ty Johnson would be my choice.
  2. That’s not the plan. They were trying to teach a great athlete to become a linebacker.
  3. ....and? More ammo for Beane to add move depth to the organization. How is this a bad thing unless Gray is indispensable to the Bills which I highly doubt.
  4. I’ll take two 3rds for Gray. Two 2nds, Two 3rds for Gray and 2 compensatory 5ths. Lots of ammo for Beane to move up (or down) to get the depth he needs and maybe a future starter or 3.
  5. Talk about an organization that likes former Bulldogs. I wouldn’t worry too much. I suspect Beane will poach him back this offseason.
  6. That’s hard to know. If had been here all season I might agree, but he really hasn’t had much time to learn the offense, develop chemistry with Josh and have Brady scheme for him. His injuries haven’t help either. I interested in him coming back next season but on a limited deal to see what’s possible. I also want us to draft someone with speed and good hands,
  7. I agree on the day 3 flyer, especially if we get compensatory picks in round 5. However, I think both are gone after the season.
  8. The game was a pre-season game played in week 18. Here are some of the things we found out. 1) White and/or Trubisky might be replaced this off-season as the backup QBs despite both being under contract. Trubisky can be cut for a dead cap of 750K saving 2.5 million on next years cap. I haven't seen all the terms on White's new deal, but he looked terrible against NE. 2) Hamlin played 100% of the snaps. It's pretty clear that McD wanted Hamlin to get back up to game speed but is undecided who starts against the Broncos between him and Bishop. 3) Resting starters, staying healthy, team & individual accomplishments and getting guys their bonuses was more important than winning. Hollins, Martin and Miller earned bonuses, Cook got over 1000 yards & tied OJ with 16 rushing TDs, and the team went 30/30 on rushing and passing TDs. McD punted from the NE 35 to help Martin earn the bonus.
  9. GB will beat the Eagles. I also like the Chargers over Houston.
  10. Bengals fire their DC? Geez that makes sense.
  11. I’m not worried about the NFC teams. I’m worried about getting to the Super Bowl. Balt and KC will be hard enough. If we can get through them we can get through anyone. IMHO the playoffs are usually about QBs. Mahomes, Allen and Lamar are in the AFC. The only NFC QB that scares me is Love.
  12. I'll be happy for him as well. I have a friend who was an All-American as Tenn and briefly played in the NFL. We have often talked about playing in the league, how hard it is to stay and how little you earn if you are on the margins and the havoc it can cause on your body. I respect anyone who really makes a career of it (unless the play for the Fish or Jets.)
  13. Cody is making a career. Good for him. Harrison Phillips has excelled since he left. Good for him as well. Sometimes all it takes is the right coach or system. NFL stands for not for long. Anyone who gets to play as long as they have deserve some kudos.
  14. Do we really want a Pats cast off?
  15. What a huge man. He has become a truly elite player.
  16. …I like mine with lettuce and tomato Heinz 57 and French fried potato, a big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer…..
  17. That was very evident in the Jets game.
  18. You do realize that is no longer true. McD/Babich have blitzed more than ever before this season and have added 3 LB sets to help on running plays since Milano returned. It's time to retire that narrative.
