  1. thats not how it works if you have a franchise QB you pay market value not everyone is aaron rodgers or mahomes but most get market value at the time. sign your qb Draft well and sign veterans on 1 year deals and may the best team win. the way the browns have been drafting that is all that matters really to keep a stacked team.
  2. Jok is a heat seeking missle https://twitter.com/mattfreemanISD/status/1426749245529497602?s=20
  3. Idk if that is the question. The real question is will they run more this year ? Will the be more balanced ? I think it would be good for the offense overall to be more balanced.
  4. brady had basically Charlie weis and josh mcdaniels for his entire time in NE. It was Brady's offense after so long anyways just like payton manning had "his" offense. if they can do that with josh it wont be a problem if they are changing systems every 2 or 3 years it could be.
  5. josh is not a one hit wonder but the biggest problem i see with fans are they want to project a really good season and assume it will happen again. i seen it with mahomes 50 TD season his next season he had 26 td's. even rodgers fluctuates from 45 or so to 25 tds on any given season. its not a falure if josh goes 27 tds and 14 int next year, its just the ups and downs of being an nfl QB and teams adjusting. the biggest thing i see with josh going forward is that he isnt pared with an offensive HC so he could see turnover in systems and OC's when he does well they get HC jobs. i prefer the brees/payton , reid / mahomes, stefanski / baker model.
  6. there has to be an end somewhere if it really gets to a point that paying a QB will make you so cap strapped that you cant compete. some team will come up with a way to build a beast of a team and cycle drafted Qb's on rookie deals and then let them walk.
  7. just the money is crazy the going rate for QB's is increasing so fast. just back in 2018 everyone thought cousins deal 3 years for 84 million was nutz now i am not sure what 28 mil per year would get you ?
  8. its a bills forum sorry i am not worried about sentence structure and punctuation. most of the people here are probably half brain dead from jumping through tables anyways. 😆
  9. We are talking about winning consistently throughout a career. Not having a great season or being carried by an elite defense that can only happen in short periods. Those are definitely outlier one season stretches.
  10. Oh I forgot we were in English class 😅. You always know the ***** who brings out grammar has nothing to bring to the conversation.
  11. its the #1 stat for a qb they are the leaders of the team some guys find a way and some dont. . i am sure you can name off all these great QB's that have loosing records and all these bad QBs with winning records LOL
  12. Lamar has more wins and an MVP under his belt he can get anywhere from 40 mil to above pat mahomes money.
  13. where talking about the young guns record against mahomes not head to head. i mean he lit it up against the ravens for 10 points so i don't think i would focus on that game.
  14. i mean i hope not but josh is 0-2 baker is 0-2 and lamar is 0-3 . its a thing until it isn't.
  15. its true no one has beat mahomes over the last 2 years ? dont be mad lol
  16. All 3 young qbs will get paid they will all be similar deals. let the chips fall where they may over the next 5 years. i am sure they will all beat each other at some point will any beat mahomes? who knows
  17. starting Qb's that have won playoff games its probably going to be in the 38-43 mil per year range.
  18. such a sad time this was for the Bills and the Browns. I am glad it appears the 2 have turned it around like the Kosar and Kelly Era X2
  19. baker is in for a monster season this year just look at the 2nd year jump that Qbs take in this shannahan/ kubiac/stefanski/ lafleur/ mcvay system. look for 35 td 10 int 4500 yds most recently Goff 2017 to 2018 Ryan 2015 to 2016 Rodgers 2019 to 2020
  20. i just asked the question. i am on your side on this but just from what i have seen around here i am not sure we are the majority.
  21. this is fun ... - Bills finish 2nd in the AFCE to the patriots but still make the playoffs -Bills vs Browns in the AFC championship game ending KC's streak of making it to the super bowl -Steelers finish below .500 for first time in the Tomlin era and ben retires -Chubb and hunt both rush for over 1,000 yds - Seattle struggles and misses the payoffs they fire Pete Carroll after the season
  22. interesting ... yet all i see around here is oh the bills have Allen so they will beat said team. ... or KC has Mahomes they will beat said team. in this era the team doesnt matter to the average fan they think the QBs are the team. all you see is Sam Darnold sucks even tho rodgers or allen or mahomes wasnt taking that Jets team last year to the playoffs. See Watson in Houston a consensus top 5 QB yet won 4 games last year.
  23. Im interested in what everyone considers more successfull for a QB ? what would you rather have Qbs such as lamar, Cam newton, aaron rodgers who have lit up the regular seasons have MVP's under their belt but 1 superbowl win combined with a 16-16 combined record in the playoffs. or Qbs like joe flacco , eli manning who put up OK numbers in the regular season NO MVPs but have 3 super bowls combined and 18-9 combined record in the playoffs?
  24. i mean i suppose im just not up to date on what everyone was doing in the offseason. i mean house also worked with case keenum, RG3, andy dalton, marcus mariota, blake bortles, tyrod taylor. matt barkley. so its not an end all be all. i guess if i had to choose i would say sure work with someone if its making you better. the truth is we dont really know what baker is doing on the offseason. He was in better shape last year and by all accounts even better shape this year. he changed his footwork and base last year with alex van pelt. i am guessing but i would bet his completion % goes up a decent bit this year by just being in the same offense 2 years in a row.
