  1. Yes. No one is allowed to die in America unless it’s from the Wuhan virus. #STRONGGOVERNORSPROTECTINGTHEPEOPLEFROMTHEMSELVES
  2. Forget DiNero. Ken Jeong should play Cuomo He’s perfect for the role.
  3. People in Oregon tried that in the 70s. Oregon is cold and wet! stay in California. Oregon is a terrible place.
  4. Sweet Baby Jesus people. Can we stay on topic?
  5. WTH. How did this thread get so off track?
  6. I’m required to mask and glove-up when I do my Meals on Wheels run. I drive around 40 miles to deliver food to a couple dozen very old/infirm people. I don’t take my mask off till I’m done with my route and have returned the coolers to the Elder Services Center. I was perplexed and annoyed when the Audubon Society closed all of their properties about eight weeks ago. Their Wellfleet property is gorgeous. There is a ton of extra pressure on local parks and land preserves. As a side note, I love dogs, but there are so many disgraceful dog owners that don’t keep them on leash, or pick up their poop.

  8. So what - that’s just the Cliff Notes? Thanks for the summary. You’ve put all of that out there several times before. It’s good to see it strapped to a timeline. I’ve been binge watching “Designated Survivor”, and they actually do a Pelosi “wrap-up smear” on the former President Moss. They leak to a reporter that Moss is a criminal leaker to the Press in order to get that story into the news so they can continue going after him all the while covering their illegal FISA wiretapping of him. Season 2 episode 14 (iirc). Life imitating art.
  9. I don’t know anyone has ever accused B O of being a serious student of history. It I’ll be interesting to find out exactly who hatched this plot to overthrow the US Government. It kind of grew a mind of its own after it gained traction in certain quarters. But who actually came up with the concept and then enlisted the willing into the cabal?
  10. I've tried to make cheese (mozzarella) a few times, but getting regular pasteurized milk is problematic. The Ultra Pasteurization process is done at a higher temperature, and the higher heat makes the proteins in the milk less able to coagulate into a good curd. I've given up for awhile. Getting a supply of good milk is the real key to making cheese.
  11. I've done that. Check out the https://www.sausagemaker.com They're on Clinton Street in Buffalo. They have a very thorough selection of equipment, spices, supplies, etc. I've done some business with them for several years. Unfortunately, I see they had to close their Horseheads store after 10 years. It's a good outfit. No complaints from me - except that some of their spice mixes are a bit on the salty side for me. You maka-my-mouff water! I've only made bacon once. My son gave me one of these: https://originalkits.com I don't have a meat slicer, so had to carve it by hand with his not terribly elegant - even when having the bacon slightly icy. Not sure if I'll do it again. Pork belly is a whole other thing. Wife is not keen at all on fatty meats - one of the sorrows of my life. She wants the bacon extra-extra crispy, and trims all the fat off everything. The one time I made it, I split it into two. Used liquid smoke, and the wife liked that better than the plain. I also used some maple sugar in the brine. I make breakfast sausage with the SausageMaker's blended spice. I usually add orange zest and some dark brown sugar to the mix. Easy does it, as that stuff can burn. I LOVE THREADS LIKE THIS THAT ARE DEDICATED TO COOKING!
  12. By the dawn of the 19th century, tuberculosis had killed one in seven of all people that had ever lived. Doctors believed it was hereditary, but had begun to observe that fresh air and outdoor living could sometimes change the course of the illness.
  13. Cape Cod Healthcare to furlough more than 600 Workforce reduction tied to ‘historic’ financial losses during pandemic By Cynthia McCormick cmccormick@capecodonline.com HYANNIS — Citing “historic” financial losses because of the coronavirus pandemic, Cape Cod Healthcare’s leader announced Thursday that more than 10% of the workforce will be furloughed for at least a month starting Sunday. The furlough of more than 600 employees comes as the parent company of Cape Cod and Falmouth hospitals faces a loss of $74 million this fiscal year, Cape Cod Healthcare President and CEO Michael K. Lauf said. “Today was a bad day for Cape Cod Healthcare,” Lauf said during an afternoon press briefing. “I never thought in my 12 years here I would have to do what I did today.” “Every type of position was impacted” except for bedside nurses and those on the front lines fighting the pandemic, Lauf said. The workforce reduction — temporary for now — is being carried out across the board at Cape Cod Healthcare’s hospitals, urgent care centers and offices, Lauf said. It affects physicians, nurses, technicians, aides and parking lot attendants in addition to many other positions, Lauf said. In addition to the furloughs, management and executives are taking salary cuts, Lauf said. His CEO pay and that of executive vice presidents will be cut 12.5%, while vice presidents and directors will see pay reduction rates of 10% and 7.5%, respectively. Lauf said his pay cut comes on top of his not being paid a salary for April. Manager pay will be cut 5%, Lauf said. Responding to the coronavirus pandemic has cost Cape Cod Healthcare 41% of its revenue through canceled elective procedures, reduced outpatient visits and the establishment of hospital triage sites, a mobile testing clinic and three stepdown facilities, Lauf said. I'm certain that this is what's in store for the rest of the country if they haven't done so already. Hospitals were effectively shut down as fighting the Wuhan Virus became Job #1 in the country. Ironic isn't it? Healthcare facilities were told to close their elective surgery centers and Drs and Nurses are getting laid off all because of the hysteria that ensued.
  14. Obama - the ONLY President who subverted our national tradition of the peaceful passing of power from one President to the next. He's a slime ball and his name will forever be tainted with this disgraceful overreach of power. :*****:*****:*****:Obama:*****:*****:*****:
  15. How many quaaludes did you take last night Gary? Never mind. You can answer when you regain consciousness sometime in the next week or two.
  16. It means the government can not retry him on the same charges ever again. It’s the Twelfth Night.
