Yeah, especially if we get someone in the draft to develop. You could a guy like you mentioned above on a one year contract while you develop the pass rusher you drafted. I asked this to someone else in this thread as well. If your pass rusher is there in the 20s, would you be open to trading up or do you feel we need all the draft capital we can get?

Pass rusher. IMO, it’s not even close. As I’ve mentioned in another thread, we have superstars in some positions, serviceable players in other positions but pass rusher is our glaring hole.

I don’t know if they’ve been too conservative (yet). They did go hard after Watt, they just didn’t get him. Also, like a few have suggested, Beane might be waiting to get the price down for one of these second-tier pass rushers that are still out there.

Because of the cap, if I had to choose one, it would be pass rusher.

It would be good to have two people like that on the team that know each other so well.

I see what you’re saying. That said, while I don’t feel like we should mortgage our future, I really do feel like they need to try to get a free agent pass rusher. Then, develop someone in the draft. I feel that pass rusher is our missing piece right now. We have superstars at some positions, serviceable players at other positions but pass rusher is our glaring hole. You can’t expect a rookie to come in and take away that hole right away.

I don’t know anything about college players. Who would you draft as a pass rusher?

I definitely get what you’re saying. I just hope that they attempt to address it by landing someone. If they fail, they fail. Nobody hits it out of the park every time but at least they would have tried.

This is my thought with Clowney as well. If you can’t get anyone else, go with him. If he doesn’t work out, great, you at least tried and you can get rid of him at the end of the season.

Would’ve never guessed. He seemed like he was a bigger name than his actual stats and success point to. Wow also! It must just be the Ickey Shuffle that made him memorable.

Good question. Trent Dilfer has to be up there. NOT because he was that good during that Super Bowl year but because he was lucky enough to win a Super Bowl for how average/below average he was. 🤣

Do you not want any of the remaining free agents because of price or do you not think they’re good enough to help out? While I definitely could be wrong, maybe Clowney is one of those guys that you take a chance on to at least try and improve your pass rush. The bills have been really good over the past few years in turning people around. Maybe they can do that with him too. Just a thought. I know it’s risky though.
