  1. I'm just not sure who's out if we add anybody - Edwards, Anderson, and Adams are of course going to make the roster - do we need any more competition for what might be half a roster spot?
  2. Remember, the 35 is a 52-yard field goal 50-50 for the best of kickers. 45 is 62, NFL record territory. We have a good punter - the 1 is pretty tempting from there. But inside the 45, we've gotta go
  3. All the bitterness in this is really a shame, because I like Denny Green and I think he's put together a pretty good program out in Arizona, after so many failed ones. Exciting WRs, an improving defense, and a good draft - it'd be nice to seem them knock of Seattle and St. Louis. But now, they're dicks, and I have to go hate them.
  4. THis is called negotiating and taking risks. Sometimes, you fight too hard, and blow the deal, and sometimes you net a first rounder (Peerless Price, Drew Bledsoe's original offer was 2 first round picks).
  5. Depends if defense includes special teams. Scoring that way, they should be the top unit off the board. Otherwise, Willis is certainly a possible starting RB, 2nd round, I'd say. Moulds and Evans are both solid, middle WRs - I'd like a better starter, maybe, but I'm not crying. Losman, maybe a late-round flyer.
  6. Wow, are cardinals fans dumb. I present the follow facts: Arizona 20 Dallas 7 St. Louis 24 Green Bay 17 Chicago 28 Philadelpia 21 That, my friends, is the sum total of the playoff victories of that franchise, since 1920. 85 years. Hilarious.
  7. Too bad we don't still have an Arena team - Hakim and Bobby Olive would tear that sh-- up.
  8. Mel's being a little catty on the AFCE, isn't he? Topping it out at a B-? I don't know who got the A's, but this looks like a fugged up curve. Detriot must get an A++ for taking his #1 guy, even though it was meaningless for them
  9. What about those Albany guys that we scouted? And also, I think Timmy Chang would be an interesting guy to have in camp and send over to NFL Europe.
  10. He's probably kind of tired. It's been a long push and he's working hard. Might make it a bit tricky to be chipper to Suzy Kolber when she asks the same dumb questions you get from the rest of the media.
  11. I'm pretty sure the cap number on Brunell prevents them from really axing him. He signed last year, it'd be a big hit to just swallow. Campbell was a mysterious pick.
  12. Munoz, Nienhaus, and Lightbody are also still on the board; they've all got pretty good writeups too. (Injuries notwithstanding). We still haven't taken a DT either, and I think that's a soft spot but with little depth on the board.
  13. You or me? I didn't think there was value, although I didn't realize King was on the board, and Scouts seems to like him, anyway. There are still a few good tackles out there, I think we could find something in the 6th. Maybe two, in each of hte last two rounds. Hawthorne will go undrafted. Ricky scared'em all off. Maybe we'll sign him tomorrow!
  14. 2nd might be a lot, but teams jump a lot quicker when their starting RB goes down with a torn ACL in September. Lamar Gordon got a 3rd.
  15. Seriously, I thought he was ours three rounds ago. If he's dropped this far, there must be some league-wide blackball on him - He really might go undrafted. That said, it's gotta be him or one of the remaining OTs in this round (Munoz?) They're the best value picks - CBs are well picked over, and that's our other main need.
  16. The defense, it seems, will return intact, save only Pat Williams. SS: Milloy FS: Vincent CB: Clements, McGee LB: Posey, Fletcher, Spikes DE: Kelsay, Schoebel DT: Edwards, Adams Since Edwards played a big chunk of our defensive plays last year, and should be aided by (perhaps) an improving Tim Anderson, I think the defense will not be more than marginally off. The DE's should continue to improve, McGee will likely grow into his role, and they'll benefit from the year as a unit. Can't see them dropping out of the top 5, or top 10 at the very least. Depth should be solid, with Jabari Greer and Rashad Baker improving, and the rest coming back, by and large. The Offense, of course, will lose its QB and LT, but one was a serial choker and the other was overrated. Not that the position won't fall off some, of course, but it'll be a quicker offense without Drew and his 7 second drops. I like Everett's boost here, and Anderson's an improvement on Smith. WR: Moulds, Evans RB: McGahee, Shelton QB: Losman TE: Everett OT: Williams, ( pick one Peters, Teague, Gandy, Preston). I'd guess Teague OG: Anderson, Villarreal C: (Teague, Preston, Gandy, Tucker) - Preston might win this job, pushing Teague outside. This is an improved offense. Significantly. Losman is exciting, Evans will be improved, Everett is a jump up from Campbell, it just remains to be seen how loosey-goosey the offensive line will be. Parrish is an exciting speed 3rd WR that'll keep 8 out of the box, and Campbell and Euhus give us some flexibility at TE and H-back. The Special Teams unit remains intact, perhaps adding some new guys like Parrish and the rest of the day 2 picks if they pan out. It was the best unit in football, so if we end up with a kicker to round it out, it'll keep us in every game. The team finished 9-3 this year, and retains 20 starters from that team on the roster and may improve several of them. Good coaching and getting the breaks gets us back in the playoffs.
  17. Shelton still could well be cut on June 1st, bringing him in for no players and less money, and we'd still have Henry, who can be traded as soon as the first guy goes down in training camp.
  18. I don't think the Bills are going for a guard unless Baas drops into their lap, which I don't think is likely at this point. There might be solid value at tackle in the 3rd round, so I'm guessing it's between CB and DT right now, based on how the first round went. I'd guess Hawthorne, at this point.
  19. This is why I'm glad we're not in the same division as the Chiefs. Because that sounds like every game in Arrowhead, ever.
  20. I presume, then that NBC's Sunday Night Football will be the marquee matchup?
  21. It's a common misconception in the PETA crowd that Kentucky Fried Chicken changed its name to KFC because the FCC ruled it was illegal to call what they serve "chicken". In fact, it's because the State of Kentucky (maybe Commonwealth) copyrighted its name and demanded royalties. They got a upraised finger. If it was up to me, I'd rather they didn't call that crap they serve "fried chicken". It's a disgrace to a part of this country's true culinary heritage.
  22. Watch out for djfarr - he goes crazy whenever anyone thinks the name "Matt Jones"
  23. Um, buy them? You know, from the ticket office? They don't go on sale the day they're announced.
