  1. Sporting good apparel companies do the same thing sometimes...overruns go to impoverished areas. I don't think they send the losing teams Superbowl(et al) champions gear though...I think that gets destroyed
  2. Here too, I guess...I'm still an Indian food newbie..
  3. I'm gonna see them in September in Philly... Can't wait.. Aren't the touring with rabbit or turtles? Should be a great show either way.
  4. i was gonna respond in kind, then it dawned on me they were the cleveland chicks held captive all those years
  5. i don't mind grizzly bear, nor do i mind his other project, department of eagles or rossen's solo stuff
  6. i always have time to listen to music...i have headphones in all day, surf sirius and look up who is playing...i follow alot of music centric folks on twitter so i get some suggestions there...i go out to shows every chance i get...music is a very important part of my life and i make a conscious attempt to pay attention when ever humanly possible...hell, if i am in a bar i am constatnly soundhounding or shazamming what i like and don't recognize
  7. i am gonna call bull ****....over 25 years ago i worked at a fast food restaurant, and unless standards have changed that much...the dumpster area was always a part of the inspection...i really hope that standards haven't changed even for places like this that don't always carry the best gastronomic reputation that other food service places have....
  8. i think we covered this story when it originally aired, but here is the after story...pretty cool...and here i am complaining about a temporary boo-boo http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/9454322/why-stayed
  9. i hear it was caused by bicyclists.... ....too soon???
  10. they gave me vicodin for the arm...didn't discover the rib pain until 2 days later once the arm pain went away..have now switched to extra strength tylenol for the ribs...today it is becoming a bit more bearable...haven't worn the sling at all today and range of motion is much better(still not wipe worthy though) but am avoiding anything strenuous on my arm....so far so good, thankfully my kids have stepped up and have taken good care of old dad
  11. sounds like another version of heaven can wait
  12. break your dominant arm and strain a rib and you will understand the need for soap and water
  13. didn't look at the list, but Brian's Song should be the run-away winner
  14. ya know the one good thing about getting old? you can go to bed whenever the hell you feel like it...
  15. She did better than Baba Booey
  16. I've got tri-focals. Didn't take that much getting used to, now I don't even notice the subtle head nod adjustments Right there with you...still like my music loud!
  17. i am not a celtics fan but i think brad stevens, while risky, is a great move. i view this move similarily to how i view marrone in buffalo. seems to be a grat coach with substance over style and gets his players to excel. may not be playoff this year, but will be sooner rather than later
  18. it was raining so hard i was soaked prior to my failed leap
  19. Turned 50 last Saturday. Monday in the pouring rain tried to jump a puddle in my works parking lot...didn't quite stick the landing...broken arm & strained rib... In my defence I attribute these events more to being fat and sedentary than I do to getting old
  20. I was sitting on the terlet today when I remembered it was the first time with a broken arm & strained rib...ouch...
  21. I brought Beyonce up because a prior thread had people indicating she was too thick and too big, so based on this boards prior discussions based on this very topic is not nonsense. And if my comments cause someone to feel shame, I'm OK with that...I guess
  22. so you are saying you cannot see past her weight problem and see a pretty face? sounds like we/you have a shallow problem as well. no one said she looked skinny, simply that she looked great. apparently some find beyonce overweight...i see a beautiful woman that i enjoy looking at. Melissa McCarthy is definitely overweight, but her humor makes her very attractive to me. And she lost 100 pounds so i am pretty sure she identified that she had an obesity problem and began working on correcting that.
