  1. is Rich Williams a holdover from when that dude(s) from the Dixie Dregs joined Kansas(drawing a blank on the name), odd that a member of kansas lives in atlanta, where i believe the Dregs were from...but that would be super cool to hear through the walls...i just saw a youtube video of the new song from Chicago and they are doing the horn section in a guys house...could you imagine being at that door and hearing the chicago horns laying down some tracks...wow!!! color me stoopid...rich williams is an original...that name just never rang a bell with me...and steve morse is who i was thinking of....
  2. i have a cool gregg allmann story. i was working at a bar in syracuse in the 80's and GA was playing the next night in support of his new cd which at the time had the song 'no angel'. We were shutting the bar down that night, it's 2.30-2.45 AM and all of a sudden there's a knock on the door, I head to the door and sure enough its GA and crew, they just got into town and wanted to check out the place and, oh by the way, have a drink. We all sit at the bar with him and his crew and drink the morning away. So the next night, GA was playing, I am up front at the door and 4-5 guys show up in line and i look at them with some familiarity. I say, 'Hey, you're Kansas', they nod(they are playing a show in syracuse the next night and wanted to see GA. So I escort them up to our 'VIP room' upstairs that overlooks the stage and fetch them drinks the rest of the night. Night ends, the Kansas crew thanks me, I respond, 'don't thank me, i don't have tickets to your show' and smile...they say how many, i say me plus 3?? they say absolutely and take my name. Show up at the landmark theater get to the front of a very long line with 3 of my friends, i turn half to the ticket window and half to the poor saps in line and say, 'I'm on Kansas' guest list, me +3' the chick flips through the first page and all of a sudden i get a sinking feeling in my gut that they were drunk and no way remembered my request or my name....well finally she says 'ah...here you are', we walk into the landmark foyer where it's packed as people are milling about getting drinks from the lobby bar. All of a sudden someone calls my name from the steps near the entrance to the seats, its the stage manager for kansas just making sure i got in ok...tipped my glass to him and nodded, went to our seats and sat 4th row right center...it was a pretty awesome 2 day rockstar life for me....
  3. i guess i am just confused as to why a-rod is being made out to be a pariah...to my knowledge he never failed a drug test or admitted to doing banned substance since he rules were put in place to make it against the rules. He hasn't been proven to have obstructed justice or anything, MLB is simply taking the word of someone who is saving face and made a deal with them to tell 'the truth'.
  4. i have to wait for september 1st before i start my fall beer transition....my own personal rule

  9. i read it to mean if when he started clearing the 177K, put 20K away a year for the 30 years and you would extend the monthly 177K payout for an additional 9 years, taking into account interest....course i could be mistaken as i am not a financial expert, nor a chef
  10. he was on howard stern this morning...it was a good interview, really decent low key guy.
  11. wouldn't break my heart at all...
  12. that's what i've been saying since this nonsense began...we have a reiging triple crown winner who hit his wife, got into a confrontation with the police and begged them to shoot him, then we have another guy allegedly doing things that any of us average citizens can do leagally and who is the focus on?
  13. over, and over, and over, and over, and over again....
  14. usually turns out that way...

  16. get ready tough guys(especially if you have kids)...this one is pretty awesome
  17. yeah but come on, in good faith he thought he completed the transaction. should be end of story, but apparently it isn't...i still say give them a call, i would guess they will have zero understanding of the situation or how to correct it and in the long run it will cost The Cat too much effort to fix their f*** up. that's why i say if the money ends up staying with you, donate it to a food bank. but again, i am not the most above board person...i download music and movies from less than reputable sites
  18. Keep in mind Chef is talking $235k interest...u still have the principal in the bank
  19. I read the title as "twins with herpes"...and yet I still entered the thread
  20. yeah he played a full set on wednesday, this is for WXPN and their weekly series, typically 40 minutes for the radio broadcast. a couple bands have gone on and just played the day away...dr. dog, dead milkmen, walkmen come to mind...oh and its free and a packed house is 450-500...so the setting is incredible. but talk about an introspective record this one is...holy crap. i'd love to see him hook up with patterson & the gang for a couple one off shows. its funny because his new bassist resembles patterson a bit...
  21. a few pictures
