trying to put together a trivia game at work and I need to come up with some general knowledge safe for work trivia/'jeopardy' questions. while on the subject of commercials(which, conveniently, I keep bringing up) there is a commercial out there that i absolutely hate and I turn it as quick as i can...its the gerber life insurance commercial where that smug ass B word raises her hand to let her friends know that she is smarter than the rest of her stupid friends....that commercial is like nails on a chalkboard to me....

exactly how i feel...much ado about nothing...in an earlier post i laid out a similar sentiment but used the phrase 'head game', i think you put it much better than I did. this is an 'excuse' to use kolb & tuel exclusively in the ever so important week 3 preseason without coming under tremendous media and fan base scrutiny....

this is nothing more than a bit of head game being played by our staff....this was probably a known procedure based on how quickly it was done and how limited EJ was last night, this avoids the scrutiny that surely would have happened had EJ not started week 3. EJ has won this job already. What Kolb showed last night was that he needs more time to learn the new fast paced system and this gives them all the reason they need to start Kolb in week 3 & 4 to get him more reps and secure his spot as a back up on the roster. Carry on, status quo for week 1, EJ will get to stay sharp in practice and will have guns a blazing versus NE.

let me clear things up...i don't want kolb to be our starter, i am more concerned about how our roster looks come game 1...right now, kolb is not looking like a strong candidate to make the roster, that leaves us with the potential of 2 rookie QB's on our roster...that's it, or my other part of that scenario, keeping Brad Smith as our emergency QB. My scenario is to decide whether Kolb deserves to be on the roster come game 1. I have ZERO problem with EJ being named the starter, in fact I am giddy over it...sorry if i came off as giving him another audition to battle for QB1...

exactly...a veteran head coach with a veteran team that has been through this before, maybe you don't game plan...but rookie coaching staff, rookie laden team, 13 years of futility, you need to prove yourself out of the gate and the gate starts at OTA.

apparently NFLN wasn't quick on updating who our QB at the time was and was crediting EJ for Tuels work, now ESPN can't get its box score correct....
