  1. I am trying to like her, but when i hear her, all i can hear is wanda sykes and that isn't a quality in music that appeals to me...i need to give her more of a shot before i summarily dismiss her
  2. kind of validates why we have such heated discussions about music on this board...music is an important thing to most, if not all of us. Even Jethro Tull & The Replacements music. But not country...that still sucks ass
  3. looks like they are shutting grant down for at least the regular season...time for roberson to shine
  4. I know they have to play CJ and BMK tonight, but I'd love to see CJ get some serious rest leading up to the tourney, if he and Grant can be healthy and Roberson gets some playing time, we will be well poised for the real season
  5. Byrd is denying he turned down a 3 year $30MM offer http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/04/jairus-byrd-says-hes-still-talking-to-the-bills/
  6. i'm no science guy, but if the train is going at a fast enough speed, it's like the drafting principle in car racing, there is a bubble that forms around the car/train and anything within that bubble is 'pulled along' using the energy of the bubble. but i am surprised because being a freight train in a populated area, i wouldn't think the train would be moving that fast
  7. Drink 'em if you gots 'em!
  8. I'm trying to get through Fruitvale but not sure i can make it...i know a bit about the story, but they are making this dude out to be just shy of a saint...my goodness, he tries to save a dog that's been hit by a car, he helps a lady in the grocery store figure out what the best way to fry fish is, the young daughter has a premonition, it seems like they are trying way too hard in the character development...i know good people end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, but this is getting ridiculous...they are just trying to hard....
  9. Boeheim is making the rounds

  11. i get it..it's the same sentiment people were saying against the notoriety 12 years a slave got...1st african american director...it was also an incredible movie and worthy of the praise
  12. to your point about falling in love with the aids cause. I went into the movie knowing nothing about the movie, and even watching it it took a while to realize it was an 'aids crusade' movie. it was very well done. i highly recommend watching it if you haven't already.
  13. He was excellent in that role, really, really good. Was he better in that role than Christian Bale in American Hustle? that's a really close call, both of them deserved it.
  14. that first chick is suing http://www.tampabay.com/news/courts/civil/zephyrhills-woman-in-attractive-convict-mugshot-files-suit/2167688
  15. Blanchett was awesome but Dench was incredible Jared Leto...bravo Nebraska should have beaten Gravity for cinematography No complaint about supporting actress...you felt every bit of pain she felt. Matthew McG...well deserved, toss up between he and Bale.
  16. I caught up today and only have captain Phillips yet to watch. Nebraska, Philomena & 12 Years A Slave drained me emotionally. Matthew Mc & Christian Bale were awesome in their roles. Best thing about Gravity was a scantily clad Sandra Bullock. Her doesn't belong in any category... It was way too creepy for my tastes. All in all some killer movies and extraordinary performances(Dench, Dern, Forte, star of 12 years, Amy Adams, DiCaprio)... I am not an Oscars watcher but this is a strong year for movies.
  17. 3 seed at best without Coleman & Grant
  18. Yeah he made that one change
  19. from one of UVA's twitter accounts, take a good look at it... https://twitter.com/UVAEquipment/status/439530282186997760/photo/1
  20. did you see her toungue??? that is worth at least 30 minutes of fun....
  21. granted he's on her turf, but that is pretty cool that he seemingly thinks that highly of a 17 year olds song to play it. I wasted too many years resisting becoming a Springsteen fan, but came around several years ago, and it's things like this that make him so cool and good
  22. hell yeah, and based on her apparent intelligence level, i may even have a shot!
