  7. for 'big chain', jimmy johns and wegmans are great primo's in philly/nj are pretty damned good too. used to work at jrecks in liverpool back in the day, they used to be very good. too many small hoagie/cheesesteak places in philly to mention, alot very good in their own right. hard to find a bad hoagie in the philly area
  8. i recently discovered tomato pie and went in with serious doubts...crust? tomato sauce & parmesan? room temperature or cold? no frigging way....but for a quick bite it's surprisingly good. Would never rank it up there with a real pizza, but my opinion of it has been swayed
  9. Now if 6 turned out to be 9, I don't mind, I don't mind
  10. I look at it as me not taking up 'saleable real estate '. I am getting a beer and going leaving a seat for customers that are staying and getting continuous service
  11. the bottle was $30, it is a very strong beer(a quadruple) so it should remain cool to room temperature. aging it would make it that much better as the flavors mellow.
  12. I am the π in the sky
  13. I just talked to my parents(mid 70's) who got home(in Syracuse) from their trip to Yankee Stadium at 430 this morning and to hear the excitement about last nights game was something pretty cool, my dad is a lifelong yankee fan and he sounded like a little kid talking about the atmosphere and excitement from the game. What amazed me most was that they bought from a local syracuse trip planner in april and paid @125.00/each for, bus trip and tickets, tickets were face value $22 and they provided bagels and soft drinks before boarding. talk about a bargain!

  15. the woman that took the photos HELL YES, the crazy B word that hit the dude...yeah probably. And is a male a maid?
  16. and that exactly echoes what Jeter said about playing this weekend in Boston, the mortal enemy territory....he owes it to the Red Sox fans that will be there to honor him to at least take the field at some point, sure that may come off as arrogance, but he knows his place in the history of the game and he also knows how important the red sox yankees rivalry is. I have no doubt Boston will show immense class in giving him the send off he deserves.

  18. could you imagine if showalter walked jeter, which wouldn't have been a horrible call, baltimore needed the win to keep their hopes of best record alive. the place would have erupted
  19. How was that for a curtain call???
  20. I think they would refund face value
  21. oh wow....i didn't notice that my phone auto corrected Cal Ripken to Cal Token....oopsies
  22. Probably right, but last year belonged to Mariano. They both deserved their separate farewell tours. Not saying its right by the business of the game but it's right by the history of the game.
  23. Cool, another Philly spot to scope out!
