  1. How ominous especially after watching the Simpsons season premier
  2. Powell too
  3. Hughes gets a lot of penalties, but damn, they are hard play penalties. Dude is a beast
  4. I revel in Belichick getting caught cheating, but being the hypocritical fan that i am allowed to be, I wish my team tried to push the boundary to try and win week in and week out. Kinda like nascar...who's gonna notice a millimeter lower spoiler on a car??? gotta try...that being said....screw that frigging cheater
  5. i liked the comment one of the announcers made about Belichick being a Parcels disciple, he has the nickname of "One Snap" indicating a player needs one snap to be ready to come into the game. Brisket handing his td ball to Belichick pretty much tells you everything you need to know about his coaching ability....we can hate on him all we want, but great googily moogily, he has his teams ready for anything
  6. so where do NJ and NE go? they belong in your proposed division more than baltimore
  7. This is why the new offense will work, Sammy running down the field with streamers!!!!!! http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Richie-Incognito-Its-business-as-usual/55d6fd5f-170d-4f7b-a7a9-616cd52b4c59
  8. I am definitely #1, not sure it's really any better than being #2
  9. i am damn glad to have a team, and i do want them to be the best, but i have zero control over it and have to trust that people that know a hell of a lot more about football than 99.999999% of us fans here are working in the fan's best interest, and if they go 0-18, i suspect the sun will rise every Friday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and I will go about my life. But come gameday each week, i will be there watching and supporting them
  10. you'd probably be happier with a new 'favorite' team
  11. show me those plays that produced open players that are being taken out, then we can talk pretty sure we all want this team to succeed(at least i hope we do, as fans), clearly something wasn't working, changes need to happen, let's hold judgement and see how it plays out.
  12. again, not necessarily "simplified", more likely streamlined, less bloat, and with plays that focus on the players strengths
  13. opening up the playbook doesn't mean open up every play, we keep hearing that TT has one of the best deep throws, you open those plays and keep the behind the line plays closed. opening up the playbook means to focus on the plays that play to the teams strengths, not to have more options that may or may not fit in well with the talent level of the players. But as I stated, proof will be in the pudding going forward...last year we waited until over half the season was gone before we started seeing more non-vanilla plays
  14. hell i could have been in trouble for assault, not that it was in ANY way that severe, but my son looks like he's 15 "funny", i heard a similar statement from a helicopter pilot in tulsa
  15. not sure why y'all are coming down on the players for this, it is very possible that the system was bloated, and a scaled back playbook will work with a lot more efficiency, it doesn't mean the players are too dumb to get it, proof will be in the pudding going forward
  16. i got in trouble once with by son in walmart, he plucked my very last nerve and i pushed/shoved him away from me, nothing violent or anything, but a shove nonetheless, he was over 21 at the time but I still shouldn't have done it. I had people call the cops on me, and i was glad they did. I spoke with the cops about it, they gave me an earful, but i will tell you what, it scared the living crap out of me that i had let myself do that. I actually thanked the people that called the cops. it's tough being a parent, but that doesn't give us any right to physically discipline them like this guy is doing, or like i had done.
  17. yes, absolutely, but i am the eternal optimist...i have to be
  18. its easier to put a qb that has reached the level of the nfl behind a good supporting cast than it is to have such an integral part of the defense not in, on any given play dareus could occupy 2+ offensive lineman, not to take anything away from Brady's talent level, he really is an HOF quality QB, but I honestly think you can put tebow back there and he'd win, you can't put an average nose tackle in, in my opinion HELL YES...his pressure on the OL completely disrupts the QB and his timing, Fitzy had ZERO pressure on him, subsequently putting all that pressure on our secondary
  19. i know every team deals with injuries, but we are down 2 very important pieces(Dareus & Lawson), our 2 top tiered draft picks are injured, teams need time to heal those wounds, and training camp just doesn't cut it, I hate to throw out 4 games, but once Dareus is back i think we will see a marked improvement(not saying he's superman, but he is a very very important part of this overall scheme)
  20. this is an article on the cops attorney, being that he was associated with the traffic court pretty much sums up that this guy is a total scumbag, they had to have a ballot spot in this years local election to officially dissolve the philadelphia traffic court which had been shut down a few years ago http://articles.philly.com/2015-07-26/news/64853963_1_house-arrest-traffic-fines-mercy
  21. Good list, i also greatly appreciate EiL for including Weird Al. Never heard the Jim James Calexico version, but both of them can do no wrong in my book
  22. i was skeptical about the late call speculation, but last night in 2 minute drills, TT seemed to not have multiple plays called and ready to be run, and was looking at the sidelines with his arms outstretched as if to say WTF???
  23. would help if Clay would make an effort to make catches, and then when he does catch it, actually stay upright
