I wonder if they liked multiple guys, and since there were still 3 of them there, they were okay trading down knowing one would still be there. In hindsight, I'm fine with who they drafted. I would have loved Brian Thomas, but we weren't about to trade up. I don't think Brady would have known how to utilize Worthy.

I've actually wondered about that. If Josh wanted to pull an Aaron Rodgers, would Terry cave. Granted, Josh would never do that, but still would be interesting.

I agree with you here. I think he really does love it here and wants to be the man who brings the city it's first trophy. I was more so thinking if he did decide to try something different, if people would be upset with him for it.

Forgive the offseason post, but this thought crossed my mind last night, so flame appropriately. It's hard for me to argue that Josh has been let down by the defense in key games, especially the playoffs. You could also say that the Bills were outcoached in most of their playoff losses. Add in being in the same conference as the Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs, and other improving AFC teams, it's not going to get any easier soon. With being from the west coast and being engaged to a movie star, is it crazy to think it might make more sense for him to want to play out his contract and join a team like the Rams? He would immediately become the NFL king of LA, have an offensive minded coach, and be closer to home. I think his chances to get a ring would greatly improve, and he'd get to play in a dome where he excels. To be clear, I don't want any of this to happen. But if it did, I don't think I could really blame him. Yes, the Bills took a chance on him, but he was still a top 10 pick and has paid the team and city back well beyond that. I would hate it, but I would still support him.

I really feel like it has to be the system. I don't think we are a pin our ears back and rush the QB type of defensive system. I think they are in certain situations, but their primary responsibilities are contain and run stuff first. Taking that extra second to look out for those things, and then rushing the QB, greatly impacts their effectiveness.

There's so many determining factors in this, but yes. As min wage rises, most businesses are staffing less, which results in employees being pulled in a lot of different directions and less support for customers. As a result, customers get frustrated and that attitude rubs off on the employees. If you notice, places like Mission BBQ or Chik Filet, who have not reduced headcount, still have solid customer service. Many restaurants are also greatly understaffed, as you see 30 minute waits in places that are half empty. Additionally, employees obtained more influence in some companies, which isn't always a good thing. Look at Best Buy for example. They removed their business casual dress code, similar to Target, which I do believe also impacts professionalism. Those employees used to be staffed by department with specific product training. Now, they are just thrown on the floor to cover anywhere, and they are just expected to make it through the day. Overall, the service field has been greatly reduced. People are just burnt out.

I’ve been thinking about DeJean for months now, but I don’t see how we would have gotten him unless we passed on Coleman. DeJean was mocked to us with our first pick and we used 5 visits on him. Eagles traded up to get him and I don’t see us having done that. Plus, if we didn’t go WR with that first pick, people would have lost their minds. All that being said, I wish we had found a way to get both.

An actual game wrecker on defense

Tom Brady voted for Lamar. I was honestly surprised by this, because Brady tries to come off as an Allen supporter and friend. Just in case you needed another reason to have Brady go ***** himself

Go to Costco if you have one. You can't go wrong with any of the laptops they sell. They start around $500, but have great specs and build quality. Myself, family, and friends have all bought from them over the past few years and have been happy.

I know that I'm breaking the cardinal rule of posting so soon after a hard loss, but I honestly just want to be away from all things Bills for a while. Honestly, I've been feeling this way since before the Ravens game. These playoffs weren't fun for me because I hated the narratives (that ended up being true). Even when we won, and no matter what we did in the playoffs, the Bills were never going to be anything to rest of the world if we didn't win a Super Bowl (which is completely an unfair expectation that doesn't seem to be held to anyone else beyond possibly the Ravens). Granted, finishing with the second seed so many times and being "regular season heroes," it does feel like the regular season feels pointless on some level to us. With all that being said, I will leave it at that and sign off: -Josh picked the wrong day to be "Sugar High Josh." Of all the things I didn't think would happen today, it was Josh failing to be the Josh we've seen all season. He recovered in the second half, but he was terrible for most of first half. Inaccurate, jittery, and almost threw multiple pics. We were still in it, and he had the ball in his hand to win it at the end, but came up short. (Another narrative he won't be able to shake) -Brady called his worst game of the season and was way too one dimensional. We didn't run the ball at all in the first half and then ran is almost too much in the second. We were predictable and sickening. What was that playcalling on the last drive? Where was Cook? -Elam should have been cut at halftime. If there was any debate as to how bad a pick Elam was, it's long been decided now -I know people want to harp on the 4th down turnover on downs, and maybe it was a first down, but also credit to the Chiefs for shutting that play down multiple times. -Groot ended up on the ground on more plays than I can count. I have no idea how, but so many of Mahomes' runs were because Groot was leveraged to the inside or flat on his butt. Just a terrible performance -We've run 6 offensive lineman as much, if not more, than any other team and we couldn't figure out how to line up in this game? What was that about? -We can focus on the Kincaid drop all we want, but where was Kincaid and Knox the entire game? I just don't get what Brady was doing. -McD's post game presser focusing most of his answers on Benford getting hurt was infuriating to me. Play Ingram or Lewis. -The Coaching Staff, and not just McD beat themselves. If you ever needed a game to prove that the Chiefs live in our head, it was this game. Josh started out of sorts. Everything we did well all season, we didn't implement until the second half. Everyone was out-thinking themselves and it's rough -3 of our last 4 overall first picks were Elam, Kincaid, and Coleman. For as many great picks Beane has made, this is inexcusable. I wish I could have enjoyed the ride and take pride in making the AFC Championship, but I just can't. I'm so sick of the narratives. The Bills can't get it done. The Bills messed up by trading the pick to the Chiefs that resulted in Worthy. Josh can't come from behind and win. The Bills can't win a road playoff road game. The Bills finally lost a game and won the turnover battle. Josh is the first QB to go 0-4 against another QB in the playoffs ever. Out of all of the things I just mentioned, my biggest issue is that I have no idea what the Bills can do differently to change this outcome. Our offensive is our offense, that is not going to change this offseason. We are bringing everyone back, minus Cooper (but who cares). We will probably pay Groot, and the money we do have available will most likely go to our own guys. The Ravens are going to roll it back, the Chiefs are the Chiefs, and I have no reason to expect anything to change. We are the bridesmaid. We are the almost was. But most of all, I'm mad at myself for starting to Billieve. I had thoughts of a parade and what winning it all would be like. But now I get to skip another Super Bowl because I hate the idea of the Chiefs or Eagles winning it all. Just a terrible outcome either way. I wish I could say it was a fun time, but 🤢

Nope, this was the one thing I didn’t expect to happen. I was expecting the defense and special teams to crumble. I did not expect Josh to play his worst game of the season. At this point, I don’t know that they will ever get over the hump.

Josh has no one to blame but himself for this loss. He sure picked a great time to throw away his MVP season. What a total letdown. Pathetic
