  1. Damn it. I should have known someone would have beaten me to it
  2. Just imagine a Chris Jones or Watt on this team that can line up anywhere and wreak havoc alongside Oliver and Groot. My god...
  3. With our rotation, I could still see them taking a DE early if someone who stands out happens to fall. I’m not asking for to happen, just considering what McD likes.
  4. Off-Season IMO Besides receiver potentially, I don't see a need to adjust anything. QB - Josh gets a new deal RB - Run it back OL - Run it back TE - Run it back WR - If they want to bring back Cooper, okay. But I don't know if he will take less than 20 mil and will probably want more than a 2 year deal. At his age, I wouldn't give him more than 2 years. Without Cooper, everyone else is under contract, so draft a potential burner. Defense - I'm okay with almost a full defensive draft DL - Extend Groot, draft DE to replace Von. Carter looks good, but Jones is getting older. Draft a DT. I'd be fine if we went DT with our first pick to line up next to Oliver. LB - Depth at both MLB and OLB. Not high picks, but I could see we need support with Bernard's injury history. I'd also use a late rounder on OLB. While we have Williams, Milano could get hurt again and depth is needed DB - I'd be okay with our 1st or 2nd pick being a DB. Douglas could be gone. Benford is our only sure deal. Elam isn't the guy. S - If they see an upgrade for Hamlin, okay, but I could see them running it back. With that being said, no real FA needs besides bringing our own guys back. Josh, Groot while extending Shakir and Benford. Draft: 1st three rounds - DB, DT, DE 4th-7th Round - WR, S, OLB, MLB
  5. The exchange of Hollins for Davis, both output and contract is a genius move by Beane.
  6. Bernard is tough for me with his injury history. I think we give him a contract that gives us some fair outs. I also don't know if another team is really going to bid hard on him, as I do believe part of his success is system related.
  7. It looked like it went directly over the right goal post, which would be good. No camera on the cross bar, so I don’t know how they would have overturned it. I think it was good
  8. You can’t tell me the Chiefs aren’t intentionally trying to get Worthy the ball as a FU for letting him slip
  9. Chiefs 17 Bills 13 The story writes itself. Chiefs get a call on the final drive to help them seal the victory. The Bills can’t beat a team with a winning record. Josh throws 3 ints when everyone is watching, and it’s the same old Bills to the world.
  10. I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. It was Josh's shakiness from the Colts game where he was trying to press the ball to his only two receivers, that made me realize that Josh is better when he has multiple guys he trusts and can throw to (which he did NOT have in the Colts game). I think Josh needs a healthy Shakir, Coleman, and a burner to feel comfortable being the Josh we've seen most of the season. Cooper is that burner now, but I don't think we need him specifically as much as someone who stretches the field
  11. When do we know if he made it through waivers?
  12. Cooper is a number one, I don’t dispute that. Cooper does a lot more than just be a deep threat. I’m saying he don’t need all of it. Is it nice to have, yes. But I think Josh and the offense really only needs the deep threat aspect of Cooper, to elevate the game of everyone else and complete our WR set. Maybe a 700-900 yard receiver. Christian Watson is a good example of what I mean. Guys you can get away paying under 15 mil a year for, compliment each other; earns trust with Josh, and everyone eats
  13. Seems too perfect timing for this not to happen. Get er done
  14. Again, my point was that the Colts game called out that Josh needs multiple guys available to him, vs only two guys where he feels he has to force feed them. Josh needs a healthy Coleman, Shakir, Hollins, and Cooper/burner. I don’t think he needs a #1 that demands the ball. If he has the prior, he’s more relaxed, spreads the ball to who is open. This
  15. If you read my post, you'll see I'm saying the same thing. The Colts game showed why we need certain types of receivers, but not necessarily a #1 30 mil per guy.
  16. I think we are on the same page, but I may not be wording my thoughts correctly. In the games you mentioned, we did not have that burner to keep two safeties against us and make the opposing team respect longer passes. With Cooper, who I agree is a number one, we saw the benefit of that respect immediately. I think we need a health Coleman (outside for contested catches), Shakir in the slot, and a respectable burner on the outside. Yes, that's Cooper right now, but I don't think his replacement needs to be as good as Cooper, just someone who you can't let run free down the sidelines. If we have that, then I think this offense is in great shape and Josh plays a better brand of ball
  17. I really think that’s all we need. And when Cooper moves on, replace him with a burner. I also do believe Hollins is integral to our system for what he does
  18. To be clear and re-iterate, the point is to say that today’s performance was not great against a mediocre team. I think we need a healthy Shakir, Coleman, and a burner to keep the defense honesty.
  19. Agreed. This wasn't to me so much about the Colts as much as how Josh looked out there having to press the ball to certain receivers.
  20. I really wish this game was after the bye. I don't think McD will rush people back just for this game, but it would be nice to give our injured guys next week off and then have the bye week to really get everyone healthy. Granted, even with a win I don't see us taking the 1 seed by the time the season is over, but that 2 seed would be really nice. Just have to hope the AFC North beats the crap out of each other
  21. In watching the Colts game where we really only had Samuel and Shakir as solid WR options (no shade thrown at Hollins, but he is more of a blocker and situational catcher for us), Josh looked more like early 2023 Josh in this game. You could see that they were trying to get Samuel involved early and it looked like he was trying to force some throws. Both of his interceptions, first real ones all season, came when Josh seemed to be pressing a bit. Granted, one was an under-thrown ball and the other Josh didn't seem to even see the defender. Regardless, Josh seemed like he wasn't able to read the entire field and was limited in who he was willing to throw to. The result, in my humble opinion, was a less free throwing Josh who could get through a variety of reads. There's been a lot of talk that part of Josh's interception struggles last year was due to trying to keep Diggs, and sometimes Davis, involved in the gameplan. This season, Josh hasn't really needed to care about any of that and has been much better protecting the ball and "everyone eats." To me, this game was similar to that, but more-so for lack of options. With all that being said, I think this shows that maybe we shouldn't be the team who pays a #1, but has 3-4 guys out there that Josh can trust to get open and make catches. Cooper, if he is ever healthy again, is that deep threat who teams at least have to respect, but I would argue we don't need a 20 mil per year receiver for that. In fact, I would argue that if we can draft a burner next season, have him opposite of Coleman, with Shakir in the slot, this offense will be great and cheap. Yes, this still assumes the compliment of the running game alongside Kincaid. Just thoughts...
  22. Sounds like a home game on that pick six
  23. You must be great at parties
  24. Whatever scenario results in the Ravens and Chiefs meeting in the playoffs and we only have to play one of them
  25. Both were positions of need and signed prior to the draft. You never know how the draft is going to work out and Hamlin had not won the job yet. At the time of signing both, each were expected to be starters.
