  1. I agree. I'm just trying to be a little more realistic in my expectations of Hines. Seems like some here are a little too optimistic.
  2. That's fair and I generally agree with this theme. Speed is always a threat and Hines can be explosive.
  3. Exactly. I'd refer you to Brieda as a comparable example. We all know how that worked out. I do think that Hines skill set is much better suited for the Bills offense. His speed certainly had to be respected and that can open up things for others. However, wasn't that Cook's role? It remains to be seen how effective Hines will be. Let's remember the guy is a career back up with speed. These type of running backs are vast. Look at Blackshear.
  4. I don't disagree that he's an upgrade. How much of a difference maker he is probably where we disagree.
  5. Boy talk about the grass being greener on the other side. Hines isn't CMC nor should he ever be compared to him. That's absurd. The guy is a career back up and The Colts wouldn't just let him walk for free if he was so valuable. Slow down sir. With that said, Hines is an upgrade and he adds speed to the Bills offense. That's never a bad thing. Cook and Hines probably will rarely be on the field together. The unstoppable comment is wildly optimistic. I like the pick up but my expectations are somewhat tempered.
  6. Perhaps but he won't be replaced by Hines.
  7. I don't disagree with this but let's not make it like Hines is a difference maker. It's an upgrade but Hines is just a role player who may get 5 to 7 touches a game. Settle down with your do your research crap.
  8. I think Singletary is a great fit ib the Bills offense. Unless they clearly get someone better I don't see him going anywhere. Hines isn't an upgrade to Motor.
  9. Me too. It's an upgrade but not really a splash pick up or a needle mover. Moss was a goner and a 6th isn't much. Muddies things up a bit with Cook there. Good insurance policy. Hard not to approve the move but not doing jumping jacks either.
  10. Maybe the Raiders plan on keeping him still. Just didn't want to pay too much. Will other teams offer more?
  11. I'd absolutely take Jacobs for a 3rd. I just don't see anything that indicates the Raiders would do that. Why would they get rid of their best RB for a 3rd? That rounder next year likely had little impact on improving the Raiders.
  12. I think the game was a tale of 2 halves. The Bills not stopping the run in the 2nd half isn't as much concerning to me. Tha score dictated the Bills sort of speak letting them run. However, the 1st half is a bit of another story. The Packers gashed the Bills run D early and often. I don't see the Bills strategy as justifying the result. The Bills knew the Packers couldn't pass the ball well. Conversely they knew should have kniwn the Pack was going to pound the rock. It was a resounding theme throughout the week. Simply put the Bills run D was porous. We haven't seen this all year. It doesn't sound the alarm bells since its one game vs a very good run team. However, it does offer a bit of concern going forward. Can we dismiss it as a one off or no big deal? Time will tell.
  13. This thread is pretty ridiculous. Beane has built the best team in football from the ground up. He is most likely the best GM in the game. His track record speaks for himself. He's not afraid to make a move if it's benifical to the team. He has the absolute ability to see short and long term team goals. With that said, I trust Beans's decisions, competence, and knowledge. If there's a move to be made at the right price Beane will pull the trigger. If not he will stay put. Either way the Bills still remain the team to beat! That's a credit to what Beane has built. Now, the Bills have to go and win it all! If they stay relatively heathly I like their chances. KC still looms as the major threat.
  14. I understand that logic but the Packers pretty much ran at will the whole game. It was pretty evident to me that the Bills had major issues stopping their run game. It was more than just your explanation that was the issue. There were huge holes and very long runs. Their were major issues in the Bills rush defense today. The got blasted off the line of scrimmage. No other way to put it. As a defense, the Bills couldn't have been ok or think it was acceptable to give up so many long running plays. How many did they have over 10 yards? Now, it's only one game and it's not a time to panic. It is concerning though. I didn't think the Bills defense was capable of getting gutted by the run. Last year's defense yes but not this year's. Hopefully, this is just a "one off." It's a little concerning though.
  15. I will take that. I'm praying it's not an season ending injury.
  16. I was pretty confident the Bills would contain the Packer run game. I knew their run game was solid but I still trusted the Bills defense. Especially, since the Packers literally have a limited passing game. I never thought they would get gashed play after play. It raises a little concern in the back of my mind.
  17. I don't really care about the trash talking. I just don't want to see bad penalties.
  18. I don't think that played a factor in the game. I think teams will try to exploit the run defense of the Bills. This also keeps the ball out of Allen's hands.
  19. I agree about consistency. However, I think he shows up in the big games when had really needed. He seems to have KCs number. That's pretty important...
  20. The second half seemed like a sloppy pre season game.
  21. I don't disagree with that. The Bills were by far the superior team. This type of performance won't cut it against quality teams. Today we faced a Packer team.that is not very good and had many injuries as well. They fought hard and the Bills did not play well in the 2nd half. I'm happy with the win. I don't there is cause for alarm. What scares me is the Poyer injury.
  22. Im ok with it if this is Allen's "bad game" and we still come away with a pretty easy W.
  23. Not sure what point you are trying to make?
  24. Perhaps but Allen just can't make those types of throws. There is no excuse for that.
  25. I think you are taking what he said out of context.
