Very fair post. No doubt the Bills RBs can't score TDs. It will be more problematic in the playoffs. When Singletary touches the ball I hardly ever feel like he's going to break one. So I guess that puts me in the lack of explosiveness. With that said, Singletary isn't bad. He has a great rapport with Allen. Nothing wrong with taking what the defense gives you. The KC game was a good example of that. I'd be happy with that kind of running production every game. Remember, the Bills are a passing team with quick explosive big plays. 1st in the league I believe in big plays TDs. It's pretty hard to be so explosive in the running game and passing game both. I don't know one team that can claim that. Maybe we fans are asking for a little too much?

Daboll is 5-1 with the Giants. He's doing an incredible job.

If the Bills had an elite RB the coaches would make the right adjustments and play calls. When you are winning their ate never too many cooks in the kitchen. Winning trumps everything. An elite RB would likely make the Bills offense virtually impossible to defend on a consistent basis. I think your logic is off and flawed with respect.

How good would Breece Hall look in the Bills offense? Easy after the fact. But taking him instead of Elam knowing how good Benford is. Win win. With that said Elam wad the right pick. Just kind of sucks that Cook has really disappointed thus far.

I don't get the Lance hype. He looks awful and he's anything but a sure thing to be a good to above average QB. He's the future and he's a big unknown to me and the 49er organization. They aren't all in on him too. Crazy as it sound Lance getting hurt was a great thing for the 49ers. Jimmy G is a huge upgrade over Lance.

Great post. Just one small point of contention. Imho, CMC would make the Bills better. His explosiveness and pass catching ability is elite. The Bills don't have anyone close to that. Perhaps, Cook was supposed to be a mini version of CMC. So far, he hasn't shown it. I trust Beane's judgements and decisions. Like you said the haul to get CMC was too costly, prohibitive, and i'd injury risk.

I agree with you. The 49ers and their defense is extremely dangerous. An elite defense (a healthy 49ers defense is elite) can shut down or contain an elite offense. Look at what the Tampa Bay defense did to KC and Mahomes. Add on the 49ers will likely control the clock with their running game. Their path to the Super Bowl is substainally higher. I absolutely think they can win it all. I can't believe you got +2000. That is amazing. If they make a Super Bowl appearance you should consider some hedge bets.

I agree but can you imagine having CMC on the Bills roster? Damn! How would teams be able to stop the Bills offense? Would that kind of all in move almost secured a Super Bowl victory? Nothing is a sure thing but man a healthy CMC in a Bills uniform would have been sweet. With that said, the price was too high and I still like the Bills chances without CMC. Plus, they don't sacrifice the future draft picks.

I agree. Their defense is really good. They are built like the good teams of the 90s. Play great defense and run the ball. The game has changed to a more dynamic faster paced passing game. However, the 49ers are a huge threat to win the NFC. This "old school" type of football can still win. This makes the 49ers dangerous.

Really? It moves the needle for sure. CMC is one of the most explosive RBs in the league. Shanahan and the SF scheme is one of the best situations for a dynamic RB like CMC. I mean no name RBs have done well there. I get the Jimmy G discussion but look at what the 49ers did last year with him. Jimmy G isn't great but the SF system is built on defense and running the ball. Jimmy G is asked to make a few plays and pass like 20 to 25 times a game. For me, the biggest concern is whether CMC will be healthy. His history is concerning and the 49ers must feel the risk vs reward is worth it. Time will tell whether this move moves the needle. It's a bold aggressive move that I don't hate. I'm in the opinion that CMC moves the needle.

In my case, sometimes the blind squirrel finds the nut.

He improves the team immediately. However, can he stay healthy? What impact will he have on keeping other players?
-
It would be perhaps an unstoppable or ad close as you can get to an unstoppable offense.
-
What you are saying is he will take a Bills discount. We will see. I think it's unlikely.

Hard to say what other teams might be willing to give up for CMC. The rumors of multiple first rounders are pretty absurd. I don't see any team giving up that for a CMC with his injury risk and a devalued RB position. So I think it's plausible that 2nd round picks are in play. How good would CMC be in San Francisco's run scheme?
