  1. LOL Minnesota one snap with 10, one snap with 12 - it averages out to 11 I’m sorry to hear that. I hoped he’d do well enough to sucker the Airplanes into thinking they Had Their Guy
  2. I dunno about “blueprint” - what exact “blueprint” do you think GB gave the Jets? Losing Poyer during the GB game and having Milano injured during the GB game meant that our starting safeties vs the Jets were Damar Hamlin and Jaquan Johnson and our starting OLB in place of Milano was Terrel Bernard. That’s a problem, but it’s not exactly a blueprint GB handed the Jets. What the Bills learned is that Bernard isn’t ready to play LB for Milano and losing both Poyer AND Hyde is a step too far. We signed Klein and traded for Dean Marlow to have different alternatives. The other “blueprint” is that we’re gonna struggle if Josh Allen throws so many stupid interceptions.
  3. Announcers/pundits seem giddy that Tampa Bay/Brady are in the playoffs and even GB/Rodgers look plausible
  4. 24-3 lead in the 1st half looks pretty promising for a GB win.
  5. I did not have Denver 24 KC 27 and Denver driving with 4 min left I did have “if it’s by some miracle close, Denver will choke and KC will win it”
  6. That and "yips" which...does not mean what some here seem to think it means Personally, I think a big difference for Allen this season has been the route running savvy and hands of last year's vs this year's WR Manny Sands + Beasley >> Gabe Davis + (McKenzie + Shakir) That's an 👀 test thing of course. All the receivers seem to looove them some Chad Hall as their WR coach, but too often I see WR too close to each other on what look like route running mistakes (because I can't believe an actual NFL-level passing game coordinator would design a play like that)
  7. No one's pretending any such thing Both matter When you defend someone's post that it's been a long time since Allen has been "banging on all cylinders" and he's regressed this season (regression is a statistical term) with "Remember when he used to throw the ball to Diggs instead of no name Bear linebackers ? " .... you call into question whether you, in fact, do either - - since he was throwing the ball to Diggs, a lot, like, IDK 2 weeks ago
  8. According to 506 sports this is the game foisted upon large swaths of the US https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2022&wk=17 Yeah, I get your point that it has implications for the AFC playoff seeding, but does anyone think that Denver has a chance? It's just so painful to watch Denver's offense.
  9. In NWE, perhaps? I think an argument could be made that the Detroit games were affected by weather. The Bills had a very unusual practice week prior to the Sunday game, a very unusual trip to/return home from the game, and then had to turn around and play on a short week. So while the games themselves weren't affected by weather, the game prep certainly was
  10. Considering both our punter and our kicker commented on how variable and strong the winds were, if Josh says the wind carried that ball, seems credible. Diggs had 5 receptions on 9 targets vs. Miami, IIRC at least 2 of those he could have caught. 3 receptions on 5 targets vs. the Jets, 1 scored drop. I think people see what they want to see.
  11. Hi. This is a message board where we....discuss the Bills, including what's said about them (good and bad) and our reactions to it. Please explain the difference between filling the purpose of this message board, and being "triggered" I'll hang up and listen.
  12. Hi. Point out the regression. Thanks. While you're there, perhaps you could explain what "regression" means to you.
  13. This matches the "code" translation for what Greg Cosell said: Burrow is Very Aggressive throwing outside. Translation: he throws 50/50 balls to his WR down the sideline, and lets his 6'4" 220 lb receiver bail him out. I was surprised watching Burrow how many balls he threw where I said "wow, that coulda been picked". It kind of reminds me of Allen in 2020, where he was really really trusting his guys to come down with it.
  14. I'm not quite sure what this means. If we're talking about the #1 seed, Bills win = Bills keep it. If the Bengals win, and the Chiefs defeat the Broncos, the Bengals become the #2 seed with the same W/L record and the F2F tiebreaker. The Bengals do not control whether they become the #1 seed, so while they improve if they win, they don't have as much control
  15. In contrast to some here, I like Kurt Warner's breakdowns and accept as valid his point that Josh is sometimes trying too hard for the kill shot when there are open guys underneath who could get yards. In this NFL Total Access segment from this week, Warner lauds Burrows accuracy and decision making and "putting it up to allow his guys to make plays" and says "whoever wins those 50/50 balls could go a long way to decide who wins this game". OK. He also pulls clips from Josh Allen's recent "Wind Tunnel" game in Chicago, praises him for threatening defenses every time he steps on the field, and says he could use a "little more understanding" of when to take those chances and when not to take those chances. He highlights Allen's deep throw into double coverage that was picked. Allen acknowledges that as "a bad decision" and I think we would all agree. I think it's appropriate to point out here that the other guy can make some bad decisions too. I was surprised to look up and see that Josh Allen has thrown 13 interceptions, 9th in the league, right up there with Tua. But guess who's #12, with 12 interceptions? This guy, that's who. I couldn't find this season, but here's a little look at last season when Burrow threw 14. Open invitation to the Buffalo Bills Defense: let's help Burrow equal or surpass his tally last year, shall we? Enjoy!
  16. IIRC you didn’t think too much of Burrow and he’s looking Franchise at the moment
  17. Perhaps. But you’re highlighting select things and kinda skating over the controversial takes and comments You don’t see how it’s a little controversial for a player on the current #3 seed to proclaim his team the “big dog of the AFC and that’s just what it is”? Yeah, they won the AFC last year. The Rams won the NFC last year. If they proclaimed themselves the “big dog of the NFC”? Yeah, Bengals deserve respect for last year’s accomplishments, but “you are what your record says you are” this year. So since you’re up on all things Bengals, translate that - ‘cuz from here, it sounds like he’s saying the Bills don’t play honest, that they cheat. And that’s pretty sketch IMO Yes, that’s my point. The Bengals are the #3 seed right now so what’s with Mixon’s “Big Dog” talk? They might be the “Big Dog” at the end of the AFC championship game, but that remains to be seen
  18. Some of the stuff that's been quoted from Bengals players doesn't sound that respectful (like Mixon)
  19. Sounds like he's all about the Bengals being AFC Champs last season and not getting the "credit" they deserve for it. That was last year, Joe. Take the ring off; it won't help you this season. We know who the #1 seed is in the conference right now. And who the #2 seed is.
  20. No I didn't. Got a linky?
  21. Bengals have a good D and a top-notch DC who is good at making adjustments. Bengals D is overall #8. Jets is #4. (Bills are #2) Jets D is #5 for pass NY/A given up. Bengals D is #19. (Bills are # 8, with rounding, tied for #6) Jets D is #6 for rush Y/A given up (with rounding, tied for #4). Bengals are #9, with rounding tied for #8. (Bills are #14, with rounding tied for #11) I don't quite "get" the narrative that the Bills D is gonna get boat raced, is weak against the pass, etc etc. To read some of the stuff, you'd think the Bills overall have a mediocre D instead of a top D. And yeah, maybe the Bengals can make an argument for "our D is better now because we got DJ Reader back" but then, do the Bills get to claim a mulligan for the games they played without Poyer or Milano?
  22. Since DJ Reader returned Week 11, the Bengals have held 4 of the 6 teams they faced to <100 yds rushing. Only the Chiefs managed a better-than-league-average 138 yds rushing. I'm not sure exactly what Simms line of thought is. Certainly I could buy that the Bills are unlikely to run over the Bengals as they just ran over the Bears, for 254 yds of which only 41 belonged to Josh Allen. He may be keeping to his opinion that the Bills have no running game apart from Josh Allen. But Allen's rush yards count! League average rushing is 120.8 Y/G. The Bills have rushed for more than that in 8 of their last 9 games. They don't get to discount Josh Allen's yards, he's part of the Bills rushing game, but his contribution to it has varied, from a low of 7 yards (!) against the Browns in Detroit (171 rush yards total) to a highs of 86 and 84 yds (against the Jets and Minnesota). Anyway, the team that managed to run against the Bengals + Reader was Kansas City, where obviously they needed to also defend a vigorous passing attack (which they held to 211 yds). And pundits can say all they like about the Bills passing offense stalling out, but we still have a top-10 passing offense by every metric I know to look at (no Frankenstats) - #6 by NY/A while the Bengals are #9. For people who follow the Bills, and know the history of Josh's UCL sprain and the weather the Bills have been playing in (like us), it seems fairly plausible to believe that the Bengals can squash our run game completely if they try - but then they are likely to leave something open in the passing game.
  23. No, not at all. Missing practice today (which he did) is routine. Missing practice Thurs (normal Weds) is missing the offensive install
  24. Yeah, this concerns me. Last week when Poyer was on injury report with a knee, he was DNP Tues and Weds then FP on Thurs. and had no game designation. So definite downgrade this week to DNP Thurs and Fri and limited today, Questionable for the game. I also don't like Stefon Diggs missing 2 of 3 practices - he normally has a vet rest the final practice, but this week of course missing Thurs with "illness".
  25. Mina Kines weighs in: Quoted here by Bengals Insiders Plus Russ Heltman: Who then goes on to say "The Bills' defensive strength lies in its spine rather than the outside, with linebacker Matt Milano and safety Jordan Poyer playing pretty well this season." O.K. Playing Pretty Well. Good to Know.
