10/20/24 Game 7 GAMEDAY Bills vs Titans post game thread
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really didn’t think he was that bad in this one tbh (not that he hasn’t been bad before lol) those first down runs everyone complained about early were quite successful and that titans front 7 got straight up worn out which opened up a ton in the second half there were a lot of execution issues early too which killed drives (still coaching sure but not necessarily a playcalling issue) cooper had that drop, I think it was Dawkins that gave up a bad sack, Dawkins had a false start to eliminate a nice first down run, and so on -

It’s just so funny….all week it’s oooooo their defense is so good it’s gonna be a tough game you wait and see then after the game mehhh the opponent was bad how can you give the opponent credit then take it back when the result didn’t go the way you thought 😂 -
Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Miami is still a bit weird to factor into buffalos record total which skews this a bunch to be fair. That dolphins team the bills faced was a heck of a lot better than their current record indicates we also didn’t get roasted by the giants which doesn’t count in the beaten category -
What? lol. Mahomes threw an INT from his own side of the field that was returned 33 yards 🤣. I mean yea maybe that’s the same as a blocked punt which is a massive play for the opposition all the same the only reason his two picks weren’t devastating was because purdy threw 3. Turnover differential is the best indicator of the winner of a game for a reason An INT is oftentimes a 0-10 yard punt not even on third down lol

We’ve run out basically the entire second half of many games the past few years lol I don’t buy this at all as a difference between the two teams or that Reid is perfectly content with KC looking sloppy throughout the regular season. Every game is so important for seeding purposes, everyone is playing for their next contract. I mean obviously we’re not in these guys heads so this is all opinion but there’s no way Reid/mahomes/that kc is offense is happy with how they’re playing I think that’s pretty safe to say this feels like a reach to cover up that offense having pretty obvious issues because it’s been so good years past

Defense: 1st Half vs 2nd Half - What is going on?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably up to personal interpretation and there’s no ‘wrong’ answer but I think a lot of what you mentioned up top is execution more than coaching (not that the coaching can’t improve too lol) That cooper drop killed a drive, a Dawkins false start erased a 5 yard gain on the previous play and killed a drive, and a bad sack where our oline got whooped killed a drive early in the game.. People were going off about first down runs in the gameday thread but the first down runs were setting us up nicely when the offense was struggling early and we still botched it everyone hates running the ball but it really wore that titans front 7 out making everything easier too as the game went on -
Defense: 1st Half vs 2nd Half - What is going on?

Yea we seem to be worse early but it’s usually we’re good early and even better late so context is important. This year has been a little bumpier than usual though so I guess we’ll see how it goes lol -
Defense: 1st Half vs 2nd Half - What is going on?

This feels like how it normally goes if we’re looking at a big sample size…we seem to give up a scripted drive td early then lock it down pretty quickly. This year there’s been a few bad longer stretches but I think some of it is injury related -
(edited)8 games in, 4.5-game division lead…

Tua’s coming back so Miami will get a little tougher. Seattle ain’t a slouch either so we’ve got some work to do to get to 8-2 -
That’s kind of funny I thought first down running in the first half was very effective and not so much in the second half but we did break a big one. our offense was really bad on the first couple drives in spite of the first down running being good not because of it imo. it seemed like it was so effective that we thought it would work on second down too and those were frequently getting stuffed if I had to make a rushing criticism 😂 first few drives cook had 5 yard rushes on first down a couple times then an 11 yard td on first down there were I think only two first down rushes for 2 yards or less in the first half the first half issues felt more pass play related, Dawkins had a bad false start that negated a 5 yard run the previous play and Josh got sacked for a loss of 8. And that first drive Amari dropped a wide open pass whatever we were doing on offense early in this one seemed to completely gas out that Tennessee dline so I’m having trouble criticizing too much. Seemed like mostly execution issues to me in that first half I think I’ve gotta watch the game again to figure out what happened defensively

Colts maybe but that is not nearly enough. Losing the head to head against Denver and pit makes this real tough Miami with tua is probably gonna split with them and take them both out lol
-
Jets lost a ton of guys…drake maye looks pretty competent . I don’t think the pats will win but it wouldn’t be super shocking pats are an extreme example but the jets could easily lose to teams like the rams and cardinals
-
9 targets for 30 yards for davante that’s past prime stef diggs numbers
-
They can compete in that they will physically be the team on the other sideline getting demolished 😂
-
My favorite post on the jets message board I’ve read is ‘this is the most disappointing season since last year’ 🤣
-
The hope lasted a whopping 0 weeks 😂
-
That seemed like a straight up screw job
-
Year in and year out the dolphins and jets just don’t add enough oline depth and every year it kills them it is absolutely insane they make all these flashy skill position/edge rusher signings that aren’t what they need
-
Yea it’s a pretty weird situation where they gave their gm no reason to care about the future and he probably tanked the franchise to not even be that good this year
-
I don’t think that’s gonna do it if they’ve got losses to Denver and pit…I’m not sure 10-7 even gets them in. I think attention turns back to Miami if the jets lose this one wildcard path is probably gonna be crowded by afc north teams and maybe Denver sneaks in the conversation

Too much distraction for ulbrich trying to run everything…still the most nonsensical firing I’ve ever seen
-
How often does ulbrich need a marker that he has one tucked into his hat
-
This is the worst possible result for them…losing a couple olinemen and the game. Their season is pretty much over
-
Fields likely doesn’t even give those guys chances to make those plays though. Overall I don’t think Russ has been good but he’s givin those playmakers a chance

Loved all the jets fans saying us beating the Steelers comfortably with an ehh qb in the playoffs didn’t count 🤣. They are in the fight of their lives right now
