  1. He is exciting. A full tier below Allen and Mahomes though. Two things can be true at once.
  2. Folks, we have a Bingo! Watching non-bills and chiefs games reveals how special the top Allen and Mahomes are.
  3. Late flags are so suspicious
  4. Vrabel, brough the team on Friday. Harbaugh on Monday. Its not a 10 advantage, but still seems like a raven advantage. Titans looks slow so far.
  5. I am not sure I will ever get over the NFL admitting the 'ran an experiment' to see if games could be fairly played, with a certain set of conditions. Particularly since the result was: no this is not fair. Since the shield now formally acknowledges fairplay within a game is not a priority, I am wondering if there are any other experiments being run this weekend? One experiment I would be interested in seeing, is what happens if both defensive and offensive holding were called consistently for both teams during an entire game. Any other experiments the NFL should be running. Feel free to be creative. (note excessive time lag, and having temperature conditions 30 degrees different experiments have already been run)
  6. I am willing to bet Cook outgains his total from last week. Not sure if that will be the biggest impact though.
  7. Its understandable. Because 54% is so stupid, it would seem there was something wrong.

    Trades?

Bills have succeeded in lowering your epectations.

    Trades?

The Bills schemes are so complicated players need two or three years to learn the schemes, and it is impossible to integrate mid-season acquisitions (see Nyheim Hines). Heck, even with a full offseason we can't fully integrate players like Harty and Sherfield.
  10. You are wrong. The last column that indicates the 54% is titled "No Playoffs".
  11. These projections seem absurd. Chiefs at 85% is incredibly low.
  12. No team pursues a single strategy on offense 100% of the time. However there seems to be two competiting philosophies on the fundamental approach to moving the ball up the field and scoring: Three plays designed to total 10+ yards. The prevailing "Woody Hays three yards a cloud of dust" philosophy which dominated football for decades. Three chances to gain 10+ yards. We had the misfortune of watching Tom Brady run the greatest and most consistent offense for 20 years. There are no running backs of particular note (maybe I am forgetting someone) for that entire time. During this era my impression was the Patriots core offense was based on running plays designed to go 10 yards or more if they succeeded, almost all the time. And the Patriots maintained the same rythm on 3rd and 10, as they did on first and ten. (side note, they never seemed to take negative plays and their line did not seem to generate many penalties. Two seasons ago, I thought the Bills prevailing philosophy was "Three chances to gain 10+ yards". This season I feel like they have no prevailing philosophy. Maybe this is good because it keeps the defenses guessing. Maybe it is bad because the team seems to struggle establishing a rythm against the better defenses. Within a single four down series It appears to me to be counter productive to switch back and forth between the philosophies. As a fan, this frustrates me in the second and 10 scenarios, after an incomplete pass, where the team runs a running play that even if successful seems designed to gain 4 yards, leaving a third and 6. Converting third and 6, is not much different than converting third and 10, so it seems like a squandered opportunity to gain more on second down. A similar frustration is invoked when the team runs on first and second down, and gets to third and 2 or 3, and third down become a passing down. I get that third and 2 or 3, is easier to convert overall than third and 10, and I always feel like the 7 yards gained on first and second down, does not serve any particular utility. I don't think it matters what strategy the Bills pursue against the average and poor defenses, their talent level simply overwhelms the defense, but against the better defense, I feel like the Bills, on a particular drive, or at least series of downs, would benefit from a more consistent philosophy.
  13. Preseason Fans/ Media: sugar rush Josh has to focus on short quick passes Season. : Allen focuses on short passes with record setting completion percentages Fans : OMG yards per catch production is down As best as I can determine there are spme fans who anything short of 100 Percent completion rates and league leading YPA totals means “something is off”
  14. Yes. If Roth and D'Angelo had gotten married, would that have saved their jobs?
  15. Terry Pegula is involved with Kim Pegula, former president of the Bills.
  16. It is shame. They met each other and fell for each other. She is a general counsel level attorney. Hard to imagine she is not capable of making her own decisions. To the best of my knowledge Terry Pegula and the former president of the Bills have a romantic relationship.
  17. Von Miller is widely understood to not be as impactful as Jones? Interior line play is now more important in the NFL a than edge rusher. salary structure is whacked.
  18. I have a question regarding Jones. I keep reading how he is our best defensive player along with Milano and White. Is this analysis based on the first games of this season or was this everyone’s understanding coming into the season. I would have thought in a preseason ranking Rousseau , Poyer, Miller, Hyde and Oliver were all viewed as more important pieces.
  19. I was a huge fan of the Kincaid pick. I preferred him over Mayer or LaPorta. But one thing I notice watching those three players is that Mayer and LaPorta look much bigger and stronger than Kincaid. I was hoping Kincaid would be a combination high end slot reciever/ high end tight end. But watching him against NFL talent, I am a bit concerned that Kincaid is a "tweener" talent not quite fast and elusive enough to be an effective NFL slot and not quite big strong enough to be a high end tight end.
  20. Its part of the NFL's ongoing experimentation to see how much pain and suffering they can inflict on Buffalo sports fans.
  21. The raiders have an equal chance of scoring whether they have the ball, or Jordan love has the ball. More time just gives them more time to score.
  22. why are the raiders not calling time out?
