  1. We could always give them a player who would have a negative impact!
  2. Personally I'm not even sure if I'm in the "he's a solid backup player" like so many people seem to be saying. Can he play the position if a starter gets hurt? Uh, technically I guess? Will I have any faith whatsoever in his performance in place of whoever the starter was? Absolutely not.
  3. Usually I’m strongly against AI but I fully support using it this year when deciding when to throw the challenge flag instead of letting McD do it.
  4. Yeah, but then imagine what that group would have done with a true number 1. It'd be stupid how good the offense would be. It kinda irks me that the front office hasn't done something to put us over the top, but I am hoping that they do indeed do something in that regard before the trade deadline this year, be it a WR or defense.
  5. I think we could offer what they are hoping to get, but I don't think they would do it for us. Pretty sure they'd be willing to take just slightly less to get him out of the conference if they do indeed truly have to let him go.
  6. There’s a part of me that worries that is indeed how it ends up playing out. I have the same thought about our WR group to a lesser extent, and at least Allen compensates for that. Not so much for the D. So the fear is that it works and is semi impressive until one game, deep in the playoffs, it isn’t. I hope of course this year is different and the team and our GM are willing to do try everything they can instead of relying on hope and vibes. Hope is for the fans. Results are for the professionals.
  7. I kind of agree with this to an extent, but time will tell. If we get to the midway point of the season and the defense is leaving anything to be desired, I’d like to see us swing for the fences with some kind of a high profile trade. Whether it’s for an edge, or some part of the secondary, I’m not sure. We still have too many instances of barely squeaking by and certain players in certain positions being just serviceable until they suddenly aren’t. We have a solid D but I don’t think they are particularly threatening or genuinely have a killer instinct. Perhaps they will show this come the start of the season. It’s why I’m okay with us giving up first round picks and then some to grab a player like Parsons. I don’t want this team to hopefully maybe just be good enough. I want them to be intimidating and destructive. And I don’t want them, and us, to look back at the end of another potentially disappointing season wondering “What if?”
  8. Hopefully we’ll get to see them cut Hamlin.
  9. Exclusively for the Week 18 game took away basically all my excitement. It's cool it's happening at all, but damn, that sucks.
  10. Hell of a lot of money to pay for 9-8.
  11. I think we trade for one at some point this season.
  12. Holy ***** we are going to win the Super Bowl.
  13. God I'm so glad we travel so little this year. Considering the not so luxurious way the team travels, I honestly think this will be a huge difference for away games.
  14. This is really something special.
  15. I know it won't happen, but oh my god would it be great to see the Chiefs get completely shutout.
  16. It's inexcusable the league doesn't utilize some kind of chip or scanning technology at this point. Tennis is able to accurately track a ball down to the millimeter level. There's plenty of options for how they could get it done and the old school measurement systtem would look absolutely prehistoric in comparison. I'm so sick of games being decided by a 65 year old dude with a part time job and deteriorating eye sight determining the outcome of these things.
  17. I really wish we had a player or a coach who was willing to say what needs to be said about the officiating and be willing to accept the fine from the league. Really tough to accept this loss in light of how terrible the controversial calls were. We didn't play a perfect game, but the standard for accurate officiating needs to be significantly higher than it is right now, and it has to change soon. With as close as this game was even with as subpar as we played, it's hard not to feel like we genuinely would have won if not for those couple of calls. Just brutal.
  18. I can't believe how terrible the spotting of that ball was especially when all the announcers and Gene were saying it was good. I genuinely think we win if they get that call right. Sure we could've played better but we played how we played and that was a stab in the gut. Honestly sickening.
  19. We really did not play well. Felt like we were much smoother in the Baltimore game. A gutting loss.
