There not the same not at all. Kyle has actually beaten really good teams in the playoffs unlike McClappy. Stop trying to paint them with the same brush. I don't care what conference there in. Didn't Cinny go into KC and beat them? Didn't The DC Lou Amurilo shut the Chiefs down in the 2nd half and overtime of that game? Do u believe Cinny is some juggernaut defense that's more talented then the Bills? What makes u think the Bills would've beaten the Rams or even Detroit this yr? Why because Mcd is a frontrunner that's had the fortune of beating nobody's and has beens in his time here in the playoffs . Lamar Jackson was Mcd shinning moment as a Bills coach to bad he shares that moment with other teams like Tennessee or the Chargers because they beat Lamar in the playoffs as well.

Come on this is you making excuses for Buffalo’s wins in n the playoffs and justifying another coach who hasn’t done much more than McDermott. You like Shanahan better which is fine, but to make it sound like he is some world beater compared to McDermott is way off the mark

Agree Julian but in football, if you got a mentally strong coach and QB, then you gotta chance (eg- Brady/Belichick, Montana/Walsh, Bradshaw/Knoll, Starr/Lombardi, McMahon/Ditka, Eli/Coughlin).  Most SB winners have this determination with the two main guys.  They weren’t trying to win most congeniality.  Eli Manning is maybe closest to Josh in temperament, but he had those steely eyes.  Now that Josh is becoming one of the older ones on the team, he has to bring some assertive leadership.

You lost me at McMahon/Ditka….also, this idea that Josh isn’t assertive is not in any way factually correct. Just because he doesn’t lose his #### on his teammates on the sidelines doesn’t mean he isn’t assertive. That’s not his leadership style. Yelling at your teammates doesn’t make you a good leader, people have to get that thinking out of their heads

I’ve seen Magic Johnson get into it with his teammates.  I’ve seen him get into a few fights with opposing players too.  Very rarely but it did happen.  Gretzky had his moments too.  But honestly.. it’s about execution.  If yelling helps the execution of a play, fine.  If not then it’s useless.

It’s definitely a balance but the best are tough on each other.  Especially in football

Right I’m not saying they never did it, but this whole lame “you need to be screaming at your teammates” thing to me is just stupid. Hold your teammates accountable, fire them up, but yelling just for the sake of yelling is dumb. We also don’t know what happens in meetings or on the practice field. But for some because they don’t see Josh yelling at his teammates on the sideline and embarrassing them that makes Josh a bad leader or doesn’t show heart or isn’t a competitor or whatever lame boring narrative they want to put out there.

I just gave you examples Brady, Jordan, Mahomes, even Tiger Woods would slam his clubs and cuss. Give me an example of a GOAT otherwise

Jeter, Magic Johnson, Tim Duncan, Drew Brees, LeBron, Joe Montana, Ray Lewis, Wayne Gretzky, Messi….whole lot of great players and champions who didn’t need to cuss out their teammates in a public spectacle on the sidelines

Is the killer mentality. The same mentality the Patriots had. We all know Brady and Belichick yelled, got in players faces. I would like to see more of that, especially from Allen… cause I view McDermott as soft. I don’t think I ever seen Allen yell at an offensive lineman or WR. Allen is just as talented as Mahomes, but doesn’t have the killer mentality…yet.

People are talking what happened with Kelce and Reid, which didn’t bother me at all. Let’s not forget Reid bumped Kelce a little while back. It’s football it’s a man’s game. I think the yelling and getting in players faces is a balance, and should mainly come from the QB and coach as they are the leaders of the team. Mahomes really gave it to Rashed Rice on the sidelines during the Super Bowl too.

Maybe in today’s soft society that is frowned upon… but if you want rings you got to have it and obviously important only to keep that on the field. Every great has had that mentality. If you didn’t see the Last Dance about Jordan, give it a watch. He was brutal on a lot of his teammates. Count the rings though, cause that’s what it all comes down to in sport.

Here we go again with this crap - explain to me why you need a public display on the sidelines of Allen or McDermott embarrassing one of the other players.  It's such a old man get off my lawn statement.  Yelling at someone on the sidelines doesn't show killer instinct, leadership, drive, that he's hungrier than the other guys, that he's more competitive, etc whatever you want to say.  It just shows you can't control your emotions and need to react like a giant baby on the sidelines

Not even close.  Trading the greatest QB of his generation to your conference rival - when you also needed a QB - blows the Walker trade away in terms of stupidity.

    Horrible take.

The Vikings got very little from Walker, meanwhile the cowboys got a couple of hall of famers, a couple of pro bowlers, and 3 super bowls as a result of that trade. While the Bills Obviously haven’t won, they have arguably the 2nd best QB in the league and they got a CB who was an all pro when he was healthy. You’re right that the trades aren’t even close, but not I. The way you’re thinking

You want Terry to fire his head coach because of a decision seven years ago that the owner ultimately signed off on?

Yes it was probably the worst trade in NFL history but it’s too late to fire someone over it.

The Cowboys and Vikings say hi

I think he’s built like Gibbs but doesn’t play like him. We can disagree, I see what I see and I hope he grows into an all around back because he has the potential to be special. I also wouldn’t just assume he’ll get there and would draft a RB late that can do what Cook can not yet

As long as it’s not before the 5th round they can take a RB, especially for what they would probably be used as their fiery year. Don’t get me wrong I’m not a “Cook is definitely an all pro” thinker but he definitely adds a dynamic to the team. That being said if he doesn’t show more improvement over the next 2 years I’m also fine with letting him walk once his contract is up

I’m driving to work right now so I can’t look up stats (I will say who gives a rip about the old decrepit version of Derrick, Henry and his season this year).  We are not watching the same guy week in and week out if you think he’s good running between the tackles. If the o line opens up a hole for him sure, but as soon as he gets touched he falls down. He’s a dynamic weapon for us but a big part of that is because we have the presence of Josh Allen, who can and will run up the middle on short yardage situations. Watch Jamir Gibbs, he’s still not all the way there but he can do it all, outside inside, pass catcher, whatever you need and I don’t feel the same way about cook yet.  He doesn’t have that fight to get the extra yards that makes teams crowd the box in short yardage situations. The team knows that and that’s why they bring in guys like Latavius Murray and Leonard Fournette. I’m sure the scouting department is finding a younger version we can take late in the draft to fill that role.

Dude is SOFT.  Despite some drops he’s a good back out of the backfield in the flat and on wheel routes, and he has some speed and shiftiness when running.   BUT I don’t know if I saw him get one contested yard the entire year.  He does an excellent job of getting what is blocked for him and that’s it literally.  It seems like almost every time he’s touched he goes down instantly.  They talk about how good back can get 3 yards when there’s 1-2 to get.  When there’s 1-2 to get, Cook gets 1.  He doesn’t even fall / push forward at the end of runs to get the 1/2-1 yard extra most RBs do.  There’s a reason they NEVER used him on short yardage after Brady was the OC.  A number 1 RB has to be able to muscle up consistently and Cook just can’t do it.

You guys are definitely watching different games than I am if you think he always went down on first contact. There were plenty of times this season he fought through tackles to pick up extra yards. I think you’re just assuming he always goes down because he isn’t 200+ pounds.

About as happy as can be with him. Shore up those drops and I think he will he a top 5-10 back. Obviously best paired with a thunder to his lightning, which makes Moss’ departure and subsequent success look pretty bad even if we did get Hines in return who I hope has a bounce back year but is by no means a thunder. Also happy with Ty Johnson who was closer to an effective thunder. Could do much worse than Cook, Johnson, Hines.

By the way, any chance we see Damien Harris back?

You don’t think he’s a top 10 back already?! Can people (not just you) name even 5 backs better than him this past season?

  11. 4th in rushing, 3rd in overall yards from scrimmage and there’s a question as to if he should be the #1 guy???

if Ty Johnson wants to come back for cheap money cool, if Hines has a cheap deal great…otherwise go find some other really cheap back ups. The Bills shouldn’t be wasting resources this off-season on running backs

    “ I don’t know …”

How hard is it to say “yes ,,, and I’m looking forward to it “…

Let’s be honest, even if he did say yes, the people who want him gone would sit here and say “yeah but we all know the truth” so why difference does it make?

Speculation going around that Diggs recently reached out to a retired Texans WR about the city and organization & has built a relationship with Stroud

If he doesn’t want to be here, send him out.

    Diggs + 3rd in 25 + 5th  for HOU 23rd overall

add more / higher rounds if needed

    I want two 1sts for 2 WR’s

this is simply not true.  The Bills can create 19 million in cap space this year if he’s traded and it’s designated post June 1st

Just wondering, where did you see/hear/read this speculation?

Absolutely, I just find it weird that many fans can’t see or just refuse to see what’s actually been happening with Diggs, people minimizing and some outright calling it media driven narrative.

I understand not wanting Diggs to leave, he was great for Allen and exactly what 17 needed at that time, but it’s pretty obvious to anyone willing to accept it that the relationship is over and Allen is ready to raise a 1st rnd WR of his own.

So it might not be a complete media driven narrative, but to think they don’t have about 50% of the blame is naive as well.

Allen is Phillip Rivers. Maybe he can pop out 7 kids so he can be known for more than being the guy that always loses in the playoffs

Right now I’d rather he be Rivers than the current Chargers QB….at least Rivers knows how to get his team to the playoffs

Doing my first deep dive into this class after watching the whole college football season and man this class is just loaded! And it’s got so many huge 6’2” or larger freak athletes. We better come out of this draft with at least 2 WRs for Josh.

Awesome-this means that all of the negative posters around here will definitely have the chance to say “I told you so” at some point next season when that rookie 5th rounder that the Bills “could’ve had” has a couple of decent games or god forbid a good season. I can hear it now “and the Bills wasted a 2nd round pick on ________” or “that’s why this team will never win because they make stupid draft picks like ____________ when this other guy was sitting right there for them”

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, it’s like Christmas for them

On hand you can look at the Chiefs magically being a different team in the playoffs as simply being a champion that drudged through the regular season and waited to turn the switch on when it actually matters, but on the other it's almost like a script playing out exactly how it was written months ago.

And most said all along that there was no way the NFL was not letting this Taylor Swift show continue all the way to the superbowl. They (myself included) were 100% right. And still think this entire thing is sham and don't believe for a second that Swift and Kelce have any real romantic type relationship.

What kinds of reactions did you get over on the dolphins message boards when you posted this?

It's no different than the crowd that insists the NFL is rigged. If it was teams like the Bills/Lions/Browns with dedicated fanbases would have gotten their day in the sun to milk every dollar out of it. David vs Goliath sells. Bills Mafia travels and spends stupid amounts of money.

It all boils down to people needing to find a reason their team didn't win. The fix is in. It was rigged. Refs. Taylor Swift. I miss the days where when someone lost or a teams lost it wasn't a million whiney reasons.

There has always been a million whiney reasons and a million people whining about each one, there just wasn’t an outlet for it. You think people back in the 70’s and 80’s didn’t complain about the Steelers, cowboys, and 49ers? Absolutely they did, they just couldn’t do it for the whole world to see
