Jeff Tuel is an unbelievably accurate Mike Leach-coached QB, with uncanny mobility to escape the pass rush. The Bills are fortunate to sign him as an UFA over all the other teams in the NFL. Then again, it's a credit to the Bills scouting team that Tuel was brought here for a pre-draft visit, and that the Bills realized his talent. I have to agree that you could almost justify Tuel as a #3 on our roster over the loser of Kolb v. Jackson. TJ is probably a goner, 'cause it's 'Tuel Time' in BuffTown... As far as guys being "undraftable", didn't the same apply to Pat Williams, Jason Peters, et al? Good point - the Cougars have no o-line. (Leach has only been in Pullman one season, and has not yet had the opportunity to recruit and develop the larger-than-human front lineman of the ilk that he had at Texas Tech.) I think Tuel ends up on the practice squad this season, and probably stays there until Manuel is ready to assume the starting role in a season or two - then moves to a backup role when Kolb or Jackson is released.

I tend to think Tuel will see a few snaps in preseason - probably destined to the practice squad (beating out Aaron Corp).

Perhaps somewhat lost in all the draft noise about the Bills 8 draft picks are the stories of the Bills interesting and talented crop of 15 undrafted FAs, including Tennessee WR Da'Rick Rogers and 6' 5" WR Brandon Kaufman from Eastern Washington , and that the Bills finally have a QB coached by none other than Mike Leach "Jeff Tuel, the most accurate passer in Washington State's storied quarterbacking history, is headed to the Buffalo Bills as a free agent. Vis-a-vis Chan Gailey, I KNEW we were in trouble when Trent Edwards got mocked out at training camp by a gang of 12-year olds - and everyone thought it was so great that Gailey yelled at the kids!!!! Gailey never delivered the fair and open QB competition he promised, and actually turmed out to be a horrific judge and mentor of QB talent - as well as a way-below average offensive game planner.
