Right now we have no AFC losses and no division losses. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised to see this team go 4-12 if they keep this up, but if they can turn it around we are still in the thick of the AFC East race. Miami at 2-1 has us next week, followed games with TB and Kansas City. New England has games coming up in Atlanta, and in Denver. If we win against Miami and the horrible Jets we will most likely be in a tie for first, 3-0 in the AFC, and 2-0 in the division. This team has been pathetic since week 2, but we still can be tied for first after 6 games and perfect on tiebreakers. Mularkey has one week to get his players to understand this and one last week to get this thing turned around. I don't expect a massive playoff push, but we waited a year to watch Bills football and I refuse to give up just yet. In terms of our chances this season, next week is a playoff game.

No kidding, I watched on at least two of the sacks the LG (Anderson) double up on Gandys man, only to see opposing DE loop around and come in untouched. WTF is the problem?

3rd and 15, easy first down against us.

The timeing of these calls are killing us, refs keep one more drive going for the Saints

Cambell cost us 60 yards on his holding call on fast Freddy’s return. Now he costs us 6 points on one of the most incredible returns I have ever seen. F-U Cambell!!!!!!!!!

I got a chance to watch them the last few weeks, and while I know it's gotten bad with Joe P. over the years I thought they had some creative play calling in the last two. In both games they hit on big reverses and did a great job mixing it up. If they can ever match up those freshman WR's with a great arm this team could be competing for the big ten title in the near future. That is of course if the play calling continues to come from this decade. BTW I also don't see Penn State winning many more, not against Michigan, Ohio State, or Michigan State at least. The Big Ten is riddled with quality teams this year that’s for sure.

I'll eat some crow for my post following the Northwestern game. First time in a long time Penn State has dominated a decent team like they did today. Don't rejoice yet though Penn State fans, the schedule looks brutal down the stretch.

Wife beater and shorts is ok, but make sure you go commando, foreign chicks love the unfiltered sounds and smells of this country. But before you leave first go to your local Coney Island and consume 2-3 chili dogs making sure to spill some sauce on the beater. Proceed to your car and lock all windows, also making sure to turn off the air conditioning. Pop in some Wayling Jennings and let nature run its course.

So we established that JD causes extreme rage, bipolarism, euphoria, vomiting, the sh!ts, and erectile dysfunction. Still not really sure why it makes people so pissed though

Considering the source I'm sure Horn is now 125% healthy. 25% more then even the healthiest of people. -
If not for Mo Lewis... who would be our QB
Mikie2times replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we would have traded up for Joey Harrington, and the Patriots would not have won any Super Bowls if Bledsoe remained the starter. I do however think that Brady would have eventually surpassed Bledsoe. Given the Patriots coaching credentials, and odds Brady would see the field at one point (Injury, Preseason, Blow Out..ETC), his talent would have eventually shown. Other thoughts to ponder..... Big Ben would have most likely been our 1st round pick had Pittsburgh passed on him. If memory serves me right TD indicated this either directly or indirectly, and I also think he did it with Harrington. I know I'm going way off subject now but the final kick in the nuts is the fact that we could have picked up Delhomme. I know we just traded for Bledsoe the year prior but I still can't get over the very attainable Delhomme. We make a super bowl run the past two years with a QB like that, and at the very least would make the playoffs. -
Believe me, I do enough of that already. In fact......

That’s what I'm saying, so many people react like that to just whiskey. I can drink anything else and a lot of it and be fine. I got used to Jameson and I still want to buy it when I'm drinking but it's not worth the BS. I just stick to the clear Liquor now and it's back to the fun drunk days.
-
I'm the same way; I'm cool as long as I'm not around people I know. I never got physically angry but I would always get a real short temper and say stuff to my girlfriend I would always have to apologize for the next day. Considering no other drink made me react like this I just decided to stop drinking the stuff. To bad, me and Jameson had some good times while it lasted.
-
I used to enjoy whiskey but after I realized it turned me into a mean SOB I stopped drinking the stuff. It's the only drink that makes me react this way, and since I know many others that share my views I just wanted to know if whiskey has anything outside of the alcohol that might cause this? Ahh sheet, I just noticed the OT forum, sorry for polluting the board.

Anybody know if it was performance enhancing? I doubt it was, probably some of that sticky icky.

I was just going to mention Peterson also. He tore his last year in the beginning of the year, and now he's back producing for the 49ers. For those Cowart comparisons also keep in mind he tore his knee the previous year in Tampa Bay. He returned for the Saints opener and then tore his Achilles. Those two injuries nearly back to back would kill even the best players. Takeo has hope!!!
-
I'm right with you on your views of his maturity, and tentativeness. He's had horrible accuracy but it has much more to do with indecision then mechanics. You don't get drafted in the first round if you can't hit somebody in the numbers. I would like to see more games that have him throwing over 200 yards and if that includes some INT's so be it. He's so caught up in the managing the game talk that he won't take any risks. Most of the great young quarterbacks usually have fairly even TD/INT ratio the first year, some even have it lopsided toward the INT side. The following year is when you really see that change along with completion %.
-
He said either those exact words or something very close to how I put it. It was talked about it in preseason and at least at one point during the regular season. I will try and find an article that has it.
-
I think that’s what he means when he say's he just needs to trust his reads and throw the ball. It looks like he is so worried about getting picked he becomes indecisive, and his accuracy falters. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see JP's INT totals rise as his production improves.

Bills must play to win NOW not in the future
Mikie2times replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess we just differ in what we think the window is this year. If I felt like we had all the peaces to make the playoffs and it was just JP holding us back I would make the move, but I would have done it at the start. In fact I even suggested that prior to the season not knowing that the defense would take such a large step backwards. I have no doubt Holcomb would play better then JP at this point. I just don't think he can make this team good enough to make the playoffs, and unless you know that for sure I don't think its worth giving up on our 1st rounder after three games. -

For arguments sake let’s just say Kelly Holcomb's play is either slightly worse, equal, or slightly better then Bledsoe. Last year we missed the playoffs with Drew Bledsoe at the helm. We went 9-7, and mounted a hellish win streak against what were obviously some pretty weak teams. But despite who we played lets just say that we were a legit 9-7. Now Lets remove Jonas Jennings, Pat Williams, and Takeo Spikes from our team. Is Kelly Holcomb so much better then Drew Bledsoe that he can withstand the loss of those three guys and propel us to a 10-6 record this year? Holcomb might improve the QB play but then what do we make of our 1st round QB making first round money? It's not like we can tell JP to take the rest of the year off, and that next year he will get his chance to play in a couple games to prove himself. I'm not trying to rag on ya man, I want to win just as bad as anybody. But you know how many great QB's we would have never got the chance to see if they only got a 3 game audition? -
Why did ya have to dig up this craptastrophie? Your right though, still should be an exciting year regardless of how the last two weeks played out.
-
I thought he did in the Saints opener a few years back. If thats the case you also need to keep in mind he blew his knee out against Tampa the year prior.
