  1. Lions are historically Billsy, lets see how this goes
  2. It took us almost 80 plays to amass the same yardage total. KC has had the best offensive outputs of the Mahomes era vs us. We have never come close to stopping that offense. Not even a sniff. The Bengals have. Until we can put up even a fight on defense your post is just off base especially given the Bengals fairly dominating history against them and us for that matter. So if they don't fumble we don't lose by 10+?
  3. Lamar is basically the McD of QB's, so I get it
  4. 361 yards and 7.7 yards per play, what exactly would you call that?
  5. If the Ravens don't fumble on the goal line and if the Chiefs don't fumble on the goal line, the Ravens take it into OT and the Bills lose by 10+. Buffalo was completely dominated in the stat sheet by KC. The Bengals perform far better against us and KC. .
  6. The scheme doesn't hold up against the better QB's. We basically don't play man defense. If we do we don't have the players to execute it at a high level. The Tampa style defense has a long history of folding in the playoffs. Glad we are married to it 👍
  7. We are the only team that can hang with a team we never beat in the playoffs. I'm confused.
  8. Bet this ages well
  9. And I'm not doing this again, just having fun. Never have liked Lamar's game though.
  10. No and the poster didn’t ask about the win / loss record. That’s pretty easy to find if he wanted it.
  11. Comfortable decisions are so frequently the best aren't they?
  12. Worse based on every statistic involving total output (yards, points, EPA, etc).
  13. If one college team had Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, and Joe Burrow you would lead them to a NC.
  14. What exactly are we basing Brady's expertise on?
  15. Agree, but I discussed the pinnacle of his career, so if not that, what?
  16. He won the NC at LSU with Joe Burrow and the greatest WR class in modern college football history. Ed Orgeron was the HC, that how good that LSU team was. Then he never finished in the top 20 with Carolina as was fired before his 2nd year ended. I don't know if people really understand Brady's full story. Not exactly a ton of evidence to suggest he is some hot and knowledgeable OC. More like a controllable retread.
  17. In 2020, vs the Colts, the Colts had a EPA of 18.47, which is about the most the Chiefs have ever put up in the Mahomes era and the 3rd highest total they posted that year. In the Ravens and Bills game, both teams had the worst EPA of the season on offense. I'm guessing the wind played a roll in that. In the Dolphins game in 2022, it was the worst EPA they had on the season as well but it was Skyler Thompson, so I really don't know what kind of context this provides us. In 2023, The Steelers had the 9th rated EPA against us on the season. Middle of the road for what output they had. What exactly are you trying to hang your hat on here?
  18. I picked the last game of the season consistently across the board. Beating 3rd world QB's at home is not what is keeping us from moving further. Getting absolutely decimated when we step up in competition is.
  19. In 2020, the Colts had the 3rd best EPA of the year vs us. I guess it doesn't really matter to me that we trounced on gadget offense with Lamar, beat Skyler Thompson, then Mason Rudolph. It's kind of funny that matters to you. But that would round out the rest of the numbers.
  20. I knew our defense in the playoffs was bad, but I didn't realize it was at this level of bad. These are our DVOA rankings since 2020, which are all above average with 2021 and 2022 being elite. 2020: 11th 2021: 2nd 2022: 1st 2023: 12th This is EPA allowed in our playoff losses along with the EPA each of these teams posted in other playoff games that same year. I included how that EPA ranked on the season for that team. Kansas City 2023: vs Buffalo, 11.85 EPA 5th best on the season Other playoff games that year: Miami EPA 9.58, 7th best Bengals 2022: vs Buffalo, 22.03 EPA, 3rd best on the season Other Playoff games that year: KC 4.06 EPA 10th best, Ravens .7 EPA 16th best Kansas City 2021: vs Buffalo, 32.62 EPA, 3rd best on the season Other playoff games that year: Steelers 16.09 EPA, 9th best, Bengals 11.28 EPA 12th best Kansas City 2020: Vs Buffalo, 30.34 1st best on the season Other playoff games that year: Browns 19.09 EPA 9th best, Tampa Bay: -7.90 EPA 19th best For context, Kansas City has not had an EPA in the 20's in a playoff game one time since 2020 but they have had 2 games vs us in the 30's. The Bengals have not had a offensive EPA over 10 in any playoff game in the Burrow era but they had one in the 20's against us. It's not just that we underperform, it's that we allow historically excellent performances from these teams with a defense that rates either above average or far above average in the regular season.
  21. How about an exhaustive search? If it turns up nothing, fine. As is we are only doing what we are to satisfy the NFL. Meanwhile guys like Monken and Slowik were brought on last year and made massive impacts. Hell, even Bieniemy was available as a potential option. So who are those guys this year? I guess we won't know. Even better, we should be scared of the change right? God help us if somebody knocks us off our Wild Card perch.
  22. We finally got a tight end.
  23. I’m curious, as the comment wasn’t about Moore. Moore is considered a talented OC by many, but not the guy I want. It’s more about our general approach and ability to bring in a top guy. Which is completely non existent. What scenario would we hire an elite OC or DC or consider allowing that person to have more creative control? The answer is none. It’s none even if we wanted to. If you’re DC for us, you’re running McD’s system only. If you’re an OC, like defense, you won’t fundamentally be allowed to change systems. Continuity matters when you’re the Patriots and you have won X amount of super bowls. It’s not what you sell out for over ability when you can’t get past the divisional round. McD has had odd conclusions with Frazier, Daboll, Dorsey. Either ending disgruntled or with unusual separations. So how would you feel about a HC who may or may not have your back, who you will have limited freedom with? I can literally picture this boss in my civilian life. It’s the worst kind of manager to have. Boxed into how they want things done and criticized or worse if it doesn’t work. Nobody worth a salt is walking into such a situation. So when we look at our team and go where is the growth coming from with X’s and O’s, where is the ingenuity and creativity? The answer is Sean and maybe a little Brady. A guy we should be happy with who was let go by Carolina. I’m sorry but this is just not acceptable. Not for what could be a potentially lead leading offense and a defense that would get us to the Super Bowl if they just figured out how to play Kansas City at an average playoff level. Look what Baltimore did in one year. Complex offensive rebuild. New OC. Creativity. The works. Sean will never so that. We have literally given KC 3 of the top offensive performances they have had in Mahomes era based on EPA. We can’t even play them average. Yup, run it back Sean 👍
