  1. It would be funny if Sean just started clapping in his face without breaking eye contact.
  2. At least somebody here has a clear head
  3. It's silly that people are so riled up about it. If my old man was buying a 10k used car he would start with "how much are you paying me to take this piece of crap". He's just negotiating. Why? He has one contract that will matter the rest of his life. He knows Beane was going to come in with the bargain deal. He doesn't want the bargain deal and wanted to be very clear in how he communicated that. As far as I can tell he did exactly what he wanted to do and likely what will generate him the most money. I can't remember nearly any player who took this approach and at the end of it everybody was saying what a mistake that player made. They all said the same things about Lamar Jackson. In the end Lamar did just fine and Cook will as well.
  4. If I had to guess, 60% of the population has no idea the actual power of that tool nor how to use it to make your life easier

  6. 100%, 4th and 1 or 3rd and 1 is one of the most exciting plays in football. Not anymore. Get rid of the damn thing.
  7. He said he doesn't think the play is safe.
  8. Stock market at open Comparatively, doing nothing would be doing something.
  9. Completely agree. I mean look at the magical Florida Atlantic run. Call them a Cinderella, but that team was extremely talented. In the sweet sixteen they had 3 starters from that squad starting for three separate teams. This would have been there senior year together (I think).
  10. So many Hornets jackets back then. The colors were pretty baller. I was a kid, I had one for a brief time.
  11. They have that Charlotte Hornet starter jacket nostalgia
  12. During the entirety of the drought I was Mr. Sunshine on here. I feel like I tend to take on the opposing view of the tide. At the very least, debate it for the sake of balance. As for your comments on Allen, I think the same Allen is still inside him. Certainly WAY more polished. I give a lot of credit to Brady with Josh. He brackets Allen into a lot of quick passes, screens, RB throws, and we run lot. Allen can't do the superman stuff on over 60% of his calls. Which helps his rhythm and decision making on the play calls he does have a chance to adlib more. As a whole, compared to the Dorsey three point offense, it leads to lower raw output but clearly better results.
  13. Wish I had a choice at this point, if I did, I wouldn't. Besides, do I have to like everything that they do to be a fan?
  14. Bills blow a 16-0 lead, allowing 19 unanswered prior to our FG force OT. Precursor to the next few years as far as a team that can't get it done in the postseason and finds ways to lose.
  15. Identical for me, and feeling a lot like I did with the red helmets back then right now. Need to move on. These aren’t working.
  16. Tournament is not the same anymore. Nearly zero upsets. One buzzer beater. All 1's look like they will advance. Welcome to the NIL.
  17. My biggest concern here is if we don't add a starting caliber 1-Tech AND CB, we are likely worse off than last year, where our EPA on non turnover plays was among the worst in football. DaQuan Jones really fell off last year and even if we did sign Rasul, he also appeared over matched athletically. Dane Jackson is nice for depth, but he just can't be our #2 CB. I don't see a lot of angles here for us to prioritize offensive talent. I also don't think nailing two starters is overly likely, but if I had to prioritize, I'm going 1-tech all day. Bernard would really benefit from that type of player as would our whole defense IMO.
  18. They will do whatever they want offensively this year when they play us. They aren't the same team as the ones who destroyed us, but anybody that can match you point for point is dangerous. We won't slow Burrow down even a little. McD has no clue how to defend a guy like him.
  19. In three opening drives. Which means three separate games. The playoff game, the Hamlin game, and the following year. We have never beat the Bengals, Burrow is stone cold, and they would have done whatever they wanted vs our paper defense last year. We might have won on account of that horrible defense they have. But who knows. As another poster called out, he’s the most surgical in the NFL. So McD’s style of baiting him into a mistake over 10-14 play drives doesn’t work. You will see it again this year I’m sure.
  20. I disagree with most your takes. But this one specifically, your first sentence is how far I made it. Burrow is 17 of 17, just under 200 yards, 3 TD passes, across three opening drives va us. McD has zero clue how to do anything against him. So maybe we could score at will, but so could they.
  21. I would say most these guys playing for contracts would have brought it. Ultimately I do like this one with Benford. With the others I think we blocked out upgrading over the long term in two positions that could really transform this defense (DE and MLB) with B players. That, I don't like. Although who knows fully, they can still develop, but in my eyes they will need to develop for those signings to make sense. Bernard strikes me as a guy that would really benefit if we get a space eater at DT, so certainly some paths for those guys to step up.
  22. I didn’t care for the Groot or Bernard extensions, but this one makes sense
  23. With all the advanced stats, I still have seen nothing that separates on schedule and off schedule plays. I wouldn’t be surprised if we are outside the top 6 or 7 in on schedule plays. Which in my opinion is a lot more indicative of the talent as a whole.
