  1. Nah, I am pulling for them to win. Let's increase the chances of the Chiefs not winning their Division (that doesn;t count as Bills' talk, right?). Also, it's the Jets
  2. What makes you think we would want to keep them over this side of the pond? They are yours, you can have 'em 🙂
  3. No. The needed the drop to avoid having to march down the other end and score the game-winning points. There was still 1:33 left when he dropped the ball and is plenty for Josh to get into FG range. And even if it didn;t happen, it was still a tied game. The whole "Andrews' drop prevented the Ravens from winning" narrative is both tired and wrong I agree that the Ravens are strong favourites to win the division even if they start 1-3 but that last sentence is nonsense. I'd take Pittsburgh, Cinci and Cleveland over the Pats, the Fins and the Jests anytime
  4. I vote for the meteor ... or the refs Failing that, much as the pleasure of watching the Chefs lose would be great, I am hoping (in a 51-49% sort of way) for them to win as I think that they have a tougher road to win their division that the Ravens (and neither the Bengals - with or without Burrow - nor the Steelers scare me particularly).
  5. I know you lot over the pond speak a different English to us on this side but does this make any sense to anyone (it is McDaniel's response to a question about the Bills' historical dominance over the Dolphins in recent years): "I think it's a disservice to all the people on both teams every year when people put history on top of what it [is]," he said. "It's two teams playing each other, and I think generally if you have success in one place against an opponent, over time you do have a confidence whether it's real or not real, it doesn't matter -- you do. And then, consequently, people can have a chip on their shoulder on the losing end of it. "The bottom line is, is all of it is semantics. It's two football teams playing -- one on the road, one at home -- but the individuals are always different and the more you can recognize that and take each game unto itself and alone, by itself, you're shortchanging the process and you'll ultimately fall victim to it. I think over time you have to take each game, each opponent, each opportunity in the National Football League, solely focus on it and everything else makes you worse in focus, preparation and execution." He just seems to contradict himself in every sentence (in addition to talking bollox) Give me our McD over theirs, anyday
  6. Assuming they even had one available and were allowed to put it on mid-game, I would guess that playing in a visor is different from playing without one (in tersm of perception, etc.) and that they wanted Josh to practice with it on before playing in a real game.
  7. Even the fish fans Want us to crush them so bad So the firings start
  8. It's 05:45 here and work tomorrow today is going to be hell but who cares. That was unbelievable (except that with JA17 you always have to believe!)
  9. Glad it is not just me. His "A fan's reaction to ..." and weekly round-up videos are great (sometimes, frankly, brilliant) but I have tried a few times to sit through his streams, both alone and with other podcasters, and have had to bail every time.
  10. The explanation is literally in the first paragraph of the first post!
  11. It is nothing like the others (especially the earlier ones). In most of them there is at least some drama, some conflict/stress/negative topics. It is supposed to be, at least in part, a reality show but there was no "reality". Nothing of any interest at all. Bored the pants off me and, as others have said, if I wasn't a Bills fan I would have switched off after th first 15 minutes of the first episode. For those who have never watched a season, I highly recommend the Browns one (2018) for the ultimate "No matter how bad we are, we are not that bad!" experience
  12. Skydiving RPG'ing (but definitely not D&D) Leeds United (is Masochism a hobby?) Motorcycling
  13. Sung equally by away fans when we are and by home fans when we - by some miracle - aren't. This year's hit, though, is "I predict a riot" by the Kaiser Chiefs
  14. We aren't 🙂 I would like to nominate Leeds United as the Bills of English Football though. Single city team. Large and passionate working class fanbase who have stuck with the team through thick and thin (and there has been a lot of that!). Once were really good but never fully achieved what they should, very often finishing second for a variety of reasons. Looked down upon by the media and fans of "bigger" teams. Robbed on several occasions of success by a combination of corrupt and incompetant referees and league officials. Had a 16 year drought in which they dropped to the third tier of the game. Managed to mess things up on such a regular basis that "Doing a Leeds" is a recognised saying! #MOT
  15. Exactly this. In the past, someone might have jumped at the first chance offered to be a HC but, as the Ben Johnson situation shows, staying put in a decent place with a chance to add to your résumé isn't going to hurt your chances of getting a job you actually want (and I suspect he is hoping for the Bengals to continue to underperform and for Zac Taylor position to open up after next season)
