  1. i don't even know how that happens the player in me says that's D holding at the most, the ball wasn't catchable.
  2. Houston getting blown out by the Broncos and us losing to the "best team in the NFL" and we suck? it's OK, easier to be a troll making negative/weak takes, even y'all can't be happy with yourselves, that is if you're a true bills fan.
  3. and Fouts called it 'unsportsmanlike'; go ***** yourself Fouts, you're old and you suck...
  4. the bad thing about this is it pads LJ's passing stats when he really isn't that good of a passer, the threat of the run opens things up for him.
  5. how does holding on the D get called during a run? i'm not sure i've ever seen that.
  6. looking for a starter Chargers - if they think they are close with everything else Bucs - lots of potential on that O Jags - not sure they absolutely believe in Rico Denver - lock still unknown Raiders - Gruden flips on Derek? trade eyeliner for cross-dressing?
  7. i'm glad you mentioned this and i've seen the same comments from others so i went and looked at the carry, by carry log for Zeke in that game, you're welcome to go look and interpret for yourself, sorry, i'm to lazy to cut, paste and format as you have to sort because he did have several receptions. here's my interpretation: 12-71 yards rushing 3 runs totaled 55 yards - 2 were in the 1st quarter (30 and 12 yarders) and 1 was the beginning of the 3rd (13) meaning the remaining 9 netted 16 yards - essentially a 1.8ypc he had 9 carries in the 1st half and 3 in the second - again they were down 2 scores by the time they got the ball in the 3rd. Zeke also played 88% of the offensive snaps, i read someone here stating he was pulled, that's incorrect. so, as a head coach, we start getting down, by 2 scores and outside of the 1st 2 series my RB averages ~3ypc, then yes i'm going to go with a different offensive plan so i don't think it was inexplicable that they went away from Zeke rushing, outside of 3 'chunk' runs he was below average, 2 of which were by middle 1st Q. BTW - not trying to rub your nose in it, i had read all the others comment on "can't understand why they went away from Zeke" and i was wondering if i saw a different game than everyone else so i went and researched, so i'm comfortable in my assessment, especially if we consider a very desperate Garrett. my source - https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201911280dal.htm#all_pbp
  8. curious, what's your definition of ABSOLUTELY gashed? only once the Bills have given up more than 150 yards, and i don't consider 150 ABSOLUTELY gashed. subsequently the Ravens have given up 193, 157, 174 subsequently with another game of 140. not arguing that we may be susceptible to the run but i'm not sure we've been running over the entire year let alone gashed with the exception of that Eagles game and one of those runs went for 65. now if your expectation is to hold a team under 100 every game then i guess 150 is well exceeding that but when you stop the pass like we do something suffers so i assume we're going to have an average of 100ish per game in a season. edit - additionally the way we play our games, as our lead increases we go more conservative it keeps games closer and teams are still running against us, the cowboys game may be an exception but if you look at the game loges they were still trying to run well into the 3rd Q.
  9. it's very smart in my mind, he's capable of running the same O, maybe not as effective but they don't have to change anything bringing him in.
  10. Harbs? i'm sure no different than us using McD but Harbs? it's not like Harbaugh is that hard to type out and that's the actual media typing it out, McD is a fan nickname. still not as bad as 'Jules'; no grown man should ever call another grown man 'Jules' unless they're heading out to Brokeback mountain... 11. it makes total sense given the scenario with a Thursday game looming, honestly this is just trying to spin things up that not really there. no doubt the Ravens will be prepared and quite ready.
  12. need some advice if there's anyone out there that is currently or has experience renting a home/unit through AirBnB. a few years ago I bought a condo in Key Largo, FL whilst living in LA. it started out as my "dive shack" (my rec hobby and staying in hotels were adding up) and when my company merged with an east coast institution, being part of the technology M&A team i spent more time on the east coast then the west and soon got tired of the 5 hour flight twice a week so i'd spend my weekends down south. My compensation covers the cost but we did notice the impact more when my wife retired late last year so beyond the "Snow Bird" renting i do with a gentleman from Delaware Jan-Mar each year I decided to rent it more frequently. after talking with friends in the RE market i was told VRBO is the best choice and to avoid AirBnB at all costs as there were issues with the Owners being held accountable for damage, poor handling of the property, lack of payment, etc. and the impression was that AirBnB was "siding with the rentee" at all costs to get their name established. so i've been exclusive to VRBO and word of mouth based on friends/family. well the activity has been light and my management company is now pressuring me to sign up with AirBnB because the other properties they have are renting almost weekly through the service. on top of that my wife doesn't like the fact we even own it and it's constantly draining our budget. So i'm wondering if anyone has any real life experience as a owner/rentor via AirBnB. some particulars about my unit: my friends tell me i've put too nice of furniture in the unit, truth be told when i renovated it i had no intention of renting full time it's in a yacht club (not a fancy one mind you) and has several amenities such as 3 pools, basketball and tennis courts, a private beach, etc. I allow pets and children (i've found out most rentors do not) small unit, 1k sqft, 2 bedroom and sleeps 6 with the sofa bed and i have a double bed bunk in the guest bedroom. the only way this becomes our retirement home is if only one of us are left in this world, 2 people and 3 beagles would not survive in it, especially with me still working another 10ish years and having to travel. any comments/advice is welcomed, just not sure what to do here. worst case is i just make my wife happy and sell it but there's something about it that makes me want to hang onto it.
  13. I responded it was a low blow and took it back but give it some cred, you don't think that played a role at all on the gameplan? BTW - totally agree on 'Boys and Rams as a folly but i will say the Ravens were favored, we weren't. all we heard about was the #1 total O and #6 total D they had. i consider it a signature win, not quite up to my impressive scale.
  14. i know - i was being facetious and spinning up the stats nerds.
  15. OK - that was a bit of an unnecessary jab but i'm sure it contributed to it. once you guys got ahead you beat them into absolute submission, they literally gave up before the 4th Q. Regardless, 2 very good road wins and cross country, when i consider impressive it's beating the tops (in this case NFC) and handily rather than donkey punching a poser.
  16. and yet he's ranked above Josh in both QBR and DVOA - so what does that mean for Josh?
  17. yea, that, that's just reporter fluff, i look at it as who is the better team. Didn't the Peters trade occur just before that game? literally had fresh deets on the Rams D scheme, you should have curb stomped them. and again, Rams?
  18. so, yes, we should be listening to a QB from arguably one of the most STACKED teams in NFL history, i'm not diminishing Troy's career/accomplishments but... damn... those Dallas teams he played on. I'm sure that helped him personally just a little bit. accuracy is a culmination of MANY factors, it's not just completion percentage and at the least it involves two people...
  19. the first rule about comparing Allen to Jackson is don't compare them... the systems, tailored to their strengths, they are in appear to be successful for them. Now, would Allen be successful In the Ravens O and vice versa? how would things look with Harbaugh as Allens HC and vice versa? i'll tell you one thing, i don't think the Ravens put up as much points with McD due to the fact they've been ahead early in a lot of their games and he goes ultra conservative. now think Josh with Harbaugh's 'killer' attitude? let's not forget here, the Ravens have been up early and big this year and that can dramatically skew stats, they put 643 yards on very demoralized Miami in game 1, 643!!! McD would NEVER do that to an opponent; last weeks game they didn't even break 300 yards total.
