  2. Don Cherry Debates the fight Canada at the time were going to a gold medal, the Russians were out of contention, it was said the Russians started the fight to get the Canadian team suspended and also out of the medals. Team Canada coaches at the time were Bert Templeton and Pat Burns, they made no apologies for sending their guys over the boards as there were two and three Russians on one Canadian guy. I remember I seen it. After the incident Don Cherry and Brian Williams had a classic confrontation with Williams taking the same tact as Farber did. Cherry was right they had to go over the boards , they just couldnt watch a team mate being beaten by three guys. imo

  4. Remember to go to your board settings and checkmark, "Is daylight saving time in effect?" , so your wall time will reflect daylight savings time change:)
  5. Jack Mesi says they will be looking to fight again in 30 - 35 days . Report from Fox news does not sound very good: Joe Mesi The three judges all scored the fight 80-72 for Mesi. The eight-round bout was sanctioned by the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission, the first such entity to grant Mesi a license to step back into the ring after the injury. The 32-year-old had his license suspended indefinitely by the Nevada Athletic Commission after sustaining at least two subdural hematomas in victory over Vassiliy Jirov in Las Vegas in March 2004. Mesi was barred from fighting anywhere in the United States, including Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory. The suspension was lifted through a Nevada court order in December. Mesi (30-0, 25 KOs) was ranked No. 1 among heavyweight contenders in the World Boxing Council at the time of his suspension. Bellamy (14-5-4, 9 KOs) dropped his gloves in the middle of the fourth, allowing Mesi to land several combinations to the head. Bellamy had some blood in his nose and mouth at the start of the fifth. In the sixth, Mesi had a bruise below the right eye. He tried to grind down Bellamy with his left jab during most of the round. Bellamy, who landed a hard right uppercut to Mesi's chin in the seventh, was bleeding from the nose when he reached the corner after the bell. The bleeding continued in the final round, while Mesi's right eye started to close. Both fighters came out swinging aggressively in the first round, connecting shots to the head and body.
  6. Brad on Wgr reports Joe Mesi won his fight tonight, a eight round decision....
  7. In an unanimous decision, school administrators released a last-second plan for Brighton Campus to turn the 43 acres of space into a shrine to BC's immortal son, Doug Flutie. The plan may not be the most practical solution, but administrators are buzzing with excitement. "We believe that our decision to dedicate the campus to Doug Flutie was the best direction to go," said University President Rev. William P. Leahy, S.J. "We could not think of a better way to honor his legacy at our University, and I mean, we can deal without more facilities, dorms, or parking anyway." The "Hail Mary" proposal includes ambitious plans to construct the largest structure in the history of mankind. The solid gold statue of Flutie jumping into the arms of lineman Steve Trapilo in celebration of the greatest play in college football history will have a base that will take up two square miles, and the statue will be approximately three miles high. The monument will replace the Great Wall of China as the most visible man-made object from outer space. Flutie Shrine

  13. you have updated the latest patch? It does correct a number of issues for those who had them.
  14. Relax all of you. The Sabres are a good young hockey team who won games because of playing with an edge and hunger, they have made the playoffs, really have no where to go at worst five spot at best forth, they have been playing teams that are playing for their playoff lives and important positions in standings, hungry teams, these games for them are not the most important they will play this year, for others these games are. Relaz lets see what goes down when the playoff lights come on. About Darcy he has done a fantastic job of stocking the team with great young players who are good players now and will get better. The Sabres also have a number of very good draft picks playing in junior hockey and minors, the team is positioned to be very good not just this year but for years to come. Very good days are ahead Sabre fans relax. This team is learning the lessons that make Champions.....
  15. article from Houston Chronicle LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. - The Texans are interested in trading for veteran Buffalo Bills receiver Eric Moulds to start opposite Andre Johnson. Moulds, 32, has been given permission by the Bills to seek a trade because they don't want to pay him the $7.1 million he's due this year. Before the Texans can work out the trade with Buffalo, they have to negotiate a new contract with Moulds, who caught 81 passes for 816 yards and four touchdowns this past season. "We're exploring an opportunity for Eric to play for the Texans," said Greg Johnson, one of Moulds' representatives. "If all sides can see eye to eye, we'll make it happen. "But everyone has to see eye to eye." The Texans, Philadelphia, Denver and New England are among the teams interested in Moulds, a former first-round draft choice who is entering his 11th year. Over his past eight seasons, Moulds has averaged 78 catches and 1,065 yards. Reports say that if the Bills can't trade Moulds, who has compiled four 1,000-yard seasons, they'll release him, which would make him an unrestricted free agent. A league official familiar with the negotiations said Sunday night that the Bills are asking for a fourth-round pick. The Texans don't want to part with their premium picks in the April 29-30 draft. They have four picks in the first three rounds or four of the first 66 selections. The team has been trying to take care of specific needs in free agency so they can draft the best players available.
  16. Add Kimmie Meissner to the list of teenage American champions that includes Michelle Kwan, Tara Lipinski and Sarah Hughes. Add another huge disappointment to Sasha Cohen's resume. The 16-year-old Meissner pulled off one of the biggest upsets in World Figure Skating Championships history with the performance of her life Saturday. She joined Kwan and Lipinski among U.S. teens who won a world crown, and Hughes, of course, was the 2002 Olympic champion at age 16. Meissners Mom and Dad both Buffalo people , her grand parents still reside in city, uncle Leo Roth and all in family must be very proud folks tonight... good for her. Kimmie Meissner
  17. Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du I´m singin´ in the rain Just singin´ in the rain, What a glorious feeling, And I´m happy again. I´m laughing at clouds So dark, up above, The sun´s in my heart And I´m ready for love. Let the stormy clouds chase. Everyone from the place, Come on with the rain I have a smile on my face. I´ll walk down the lane With a happy refrain Just singin', singin' in the rain. Dancing in the rain. I'm happy again. I'm singin' and dancin' in the rain. Dancin' and singin' in the rain.

  19. Mike Maniscalco is at radio 910 in Richmond, Mike worked with Brad at night before he got his gig in Richmond. He is a very nice person....
  20. Give them a chance, tomorrow, Lindy Ruff is on at 8:00 am , the following day Danny Gare is on at 8:00 am and is every week. The station does have a good working relationship with the Sabres wgr the game broadcaster, and they do have the players on frequently and many very good forthcoming interviews. The station has its ups and downs but they are working on it. The strength of local radio can be it gives young on air people a chance to learn and grow. Frankly Brad is a good example of this , as he gets more experience he is becoming a much better talk show host and radio person. The station in my opinion is much like people , sometimes they have their good days and sometimes they suck. But its still nice to hear Buffalo folk talk Buffalo issues.
  21. there you go, 3-2 now, with about 10 minutes remaining, and they are being outshot 40- 13
