  9. Eddie Griffin The plaintiffs are demanding a jury trial. Among evidence claimed in the suit is video surveillance footage from the Hassunehs' store on which Griffin allegedly admits to being drunk. The case could be settled out of court. Padden said the sides had been negotiating a settlement but declined to say whether talks are ongoing. "All I can tell you is we did attempt to settle before filing suit and were unsuccessful," he said. Griffin told the Pioneer Press a day after the accident that he crashed his car because he was reaching for a cell phone that had fallen off his lap. The complaint, filed in St. Paul District Court, alleges the crash occurred because he was "under the influence of alcohol" and masturbating while watching pornography on a TV set in his dashboard. -goes to show a person needs both hands on wheel and both eyes on the road.
  10. Ranking The Owners Bob Kraft No. 1, Jerry Jones No. 2 . Ralph Wilson is ranked lagging behind at 27, "Wilson, perhaps the league's least progressive owner, whines so much he makes Weaver look like Jimmy Stewart at the end of It's a Wonderful Life. Even after big-market owners like Kraft and Snyder, in a quest for labor peace, embraced a compromise that would transfer some of their revenues into Wilson's coffers, Wilson threw a public tantrum and voted against the proposal." - absolute garbage imo Tom Benson is ranked the worse, Last and least is Benson, the car salesman who both mismanages his franchise and doesn't appear all that stressed about adding to the misery of a suffering region. Before Tagliabue stepped in and decreed that the Saints would return to New Orleans -- at least for now -- Benson seemed content to remain in San Antonio, where he coincidentally has a home, while casting a wistful eye toward the L.A. market. So for the time being Benson will be bringing his ridiculous "Boogie" back to the Superdome and hoping that karma doesn't actually exist.
  11. Last year if a person had put down $1000 for Carolina to win Stanley Cup at this time they would have won $100,000 . This year the Sabres are 12 - 1 to win cup, Carolina 10 - 1 . Ottawa and Detroit are 6 - 1. The Leafs are 40 -1 . Washington, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Chicago at 100 - 1 Sportsbook
  12. Evander Hollyfield The "Real Deal" is returning. Former four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, 43, is coming back from a 21-month layoff to face journeyman Jeremy Bates in a 10-round bout Aug. 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. "I'm very excited about it," Holyfield told ESPN.com on Wednesday. "Being able to finish what I've started means a lot. I was sidetracked lately, but I am getting back on the path." -Good grief this guy already has his marbles scrambled. I wonder if this will be the name guy Joe Mesi ends up fighting
  13. Rangers - Islanders "A request has been made to use the stadium for an NHL game in the 2006-2007 season," Yankees spokesman Rick Cerrone confirmed to Newsday. "The matter is under discussion." According to the paper, one NHL team executive said that dates in December also had been presented. NBC, which will be televising NFL games on Sunday night this season, is said to be seeking New Year's Day.
  14. This site has good reviews . Oblivion and World of Warcraft also great games Guildwars
  15. Young isn’t it. Bobby Orr played for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. Orr played for them when he was 14, against guys who were twenty years old. Orr at that age was property of the Boston Bruins, who owned the rights of players on the Oshawa Generals. As a youth, I played junior hockey and signed a contract at twelve years old, called a "C" form, which made me at twelve property of the Detroit Red Wings. Scouts used to follow hockey players 12, 13 years old, even younger in some cases the young man being rooted up out of his home envoirment and moved to play for a junior team in a city halfway across the country because a NHL team owned the rights to the players on that team. It meant for many young men in hockey the obvious of education and career suffering, and why many of the former greats of the NHL found themselves later in their lifetimes in less than desirable situations. Today’s coaches like Billy Kilrea of Ottawa's junior team work not only with young men to be good hockey players, but assert their influence that the players attend school and attain good grades and a process for career apart from hockey. Also many more young men are attending University and College.
  16. Sabres picked no. 207 in round seven Benjamin Breault a left shooting C . Breault is a strong, smooth skater with great hands and good vision in the offensive zone. Not very big, he makes up for it with quickness, though he is willing to pay the price if necessary. Boasting not only a good nose for the net, Breault is also a gifted playmaker, willing to dispense the puck accurately and regularly. His strong offensive game is complemented by a willingness to pick up the slack in the defensive end when necessary. He could use to put on some size, in the hopes of giving him a bit of a physical game and some more strength on the puck. Benjamin Breault
  17. With pick 117 Sabres Pick Fellix Schutz, According to Kyle Woodlief, chief scout and publisher of the Red Line Report, an independent scouting newsletter widely used by general managers and chief scouts around the NHL, Felix Schutz is unquestionably a top sleeper pick. Woodlief described Felix in a recent USA Today article as “easily the most overlooked top-end talent at any position this year is smallish, but gritty, German center Felix Schutz, who played for a dismal expansion team in Saint John but quickly became the main cog and most consistent performer on the team — all while adjusting to his first taste of North American life and hockey. A feisty and aggressive agitator, Schutz has terrific puck skills and does all the dirty work in the corners, digging free loose pucks and winning the little 1-on-1 battles against much bigger foes. He had no help in Saint John, so he had to do everything himself, yet never took a night or even a shift off, showing great mental strength and competitive drive” Felix Schutz So far four very solid picks by Sabres.... with pick 147 Alex Biega (Defense) Alex Biega
  18. Sabres with 57 pick Windsor Spitefire defensemen MIKE WEBER. He is said to be a big stay at home guy who gives much effort and is very physical.
  19. Sabres number two pick is a goalie from Sweden , JHONAS ENROTH
  20. link to follow draft Nhl Draft Sabres draft 46 and 57 in second round...
  21. to the Wild for Patrick O'Sullivan
  22. Dennis Persson Dennis Persson, D, Vasteras Jr. Born: 6/2/88 Ht: 6-1 Wt: 181 Shoots: L From NHL Central Scouting - See the ice very well...finds his forwards with long first passes...good overall skill level...can carry the puck out of danger...a mature, solid player with good overall attitude...a good team player who works hard. From ISS: Persson is a good skater with good offensive instincts. Has a very heavy, low point shot that he generally keeps on net, causing lots of rebounds and making him a valuable PP triggerman. He kept things simple and controlled the play but still lacked some of that fire that we like to see. He still has to become more physical but the ability is there and as such, a high pick but a slow road for this talented Sweden
  23. talking about sheep...... The Gay Animal Kingdom Joan Roughgarden thinks Charles Darwin made a terrible mistake. Not about natural selection—she's no bible-toting creationist—but about his other great theory of evolution: sexual selection. According to Roughgarden, sexual selection can't explain the homosexuality that's been documented in over 450 different vertebrate species. This means that same-sex sexuality—long disparaged as a quirk of human culture—is a normal, and probably necessary, fact of life. By neglecting all those gay animals, she says, Darwin misunderstood the basic nature of heterosexuality. Male big horn sheep live in what are often called "homosexual societies." They bond through genital licking and anal intercourse, which often ends in ejaculation. If a male sheep chooses to not have gay sex, it becomes a social outcast. Ironically, scientists call such straight-laced males "effeminate."
  24. I wonder at times, where a owner and management are so incompetitent over a long period of time , that the League does not step in and find a way to remove that ownership. To have a fan base who are very avid and supportive have no hope is not healthy for anyone. The cap in sports certainly does have merit, but when a team management screws themselves up so badly as to be not repairable for a generation to remove the owners and a new one replace them with a clear slate would not be out of order.
