There's going to be a LOT of guys where the following could be copied/pasted as an answer for in the coming weeks... This is a guy who will depend heavily on: market and asking price, health, how the draft shakes out, possibly even how minicamps look... Obviously he knows the scheme (and half the roster! 🤣) very well, so he's plug'n'play, but frankly, there'd really be no need for him if we were to get, say, an Alim McNiel or (a guy several of us like later) a Tadarrell Slaton, later. But sure, worth keeping tabs on in case we go other directions...

Torn on him, because he just oozes the type of under-athletic player who always just gets it done. I think as a football player, in a vacuum, I like him, just not as fit in Buffalo. He's similar to Shaq Barrett when he came out, the difference is Barrett went undrafted, Basham will be a 2nd round pick. Easy to take a chance on a guy like that as a UDFA, but when your bookend DE is also more of a high-motor/lower athleticism guy, I just think that's a recipe for problems...

Sorry, didn't mean you were. Just that we could probably go back and forth for awhile on something that in the end, is pretty unimportant and meaningless (pro development/lifestyle/training vs. college, reasons why Knox was benched, etc.) -

His GPS numbers are going to be far more important than his straight-line 40 anyway. I get that 40 times are exciting, but while he may not quite have the top gear of a Tyreke Hill, I think his ability to cut and maintain the speed that he does have is pretty rare, and I think it's sort of the secret sauce to what makes 'Reke so deadly. So much about success in the draft is having a plan for the guys you're drafting. If you want this kid to be the Joey Galloway "9 all day long" show, you're probably not going to maximize his potential. I don't necessarily agree with most of this, but this is now a guy who's going undrafted, so like I said, probably moot. No need to takeover a perfectly good thread with a petty disagreement. Agree to disagree. -

Putting on a lot of weight in college and being maxed out are two different things. Evaluating guys' maxed-outedness is tricky business, some guys can't keep weight on, some can't even add it, others look like they're thick and yoked throughout and find a way to pack on 15 more lbs. I will say that just looking at his frame, Jackson does not look maxed out. He's thinner hipped than you'd like from a TE, but looks like he could carry another 5-10 in his lower half, and his upper body is not all that thick, despite fairly broad shoulders. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that he could carry another 10-15 in his upper half as well. And frankly, I think that's all you'd need -- I don't agree that he'd need to play at 260, because he'd really just be a glorified WR anyway (why Gruden EVER kept Darren Waller in to block is completely lost on me, but that guy has pooped things that know more about football than me, so I'll digress there)... This isn't a guy that looks maxed out to me, like H2O said, I'd be more concerned about his ability move with 20-25 more lbs on (so it's probably moot)... -

No question. Probably free to see though. -

One of my WRs, pretty underwhelming for a guy who sat out this year to prep for the pros... developmental TE at best IMO -

One of my guys posted in the “not getting talked about enough” thread... probably should look at a love to TE, Darren Waller style. -
Bills have Iowa WR prospect Ihmir Smith-Marsette ranked high??

At 5’7??? Hard pass on that for me. -

Another great list. I really like Basham, but not sure he's a great fit for us. Reminds me of Shaq Barrett coming out of college and I'd just be weary of having 2 high motor/lower athleticism guys on the ends. I think Basham becomes a good, maybe even great pro, but would like to have a better athlete to balance Epenesa... I think Hunter Long will be a fine player, but I think his 3rd round value is being elevated by lack of talent in the TE pool this year. He might turn into a starter, but I don't think he'll ever be anything special, hard to spend a 3rd on a guy like that when you can replace him with a 5th or 6th and get similar value... Collins is intriguing. Love the size and athleticism, love the former QB background... I doubt we end up drafting him and will be interested to see what kind of player he turns into, I can see a very broad array of outcomes for him... -

I haven't watched enough of his tape to develop a really solid opinion, but I mentioned in the Smith-Marsette thread that a great way to make profit in the draft is to find guys playing in "less than ideal" circumstances in college. In this instance, Jalen Camp at Ga. Tech seems to perhaps fit that bill and I've liked what I've seen so far... Here's his pro day data: Height: 6’2″ Weight: 226 lbs Forty-Yard Dash: 4.43 Seconds Vertical Jump: 39.5″ Broad Jump: 10’5″ Three-Cone Drill: 7.02 Seconds Twenty-Yard Shuttle: 4.16 Seconds Bench Press: 30 Reps at 225 lbs (more than any WR in Combine history) Intriguing as a late round pick, for sure... -

Great list! My brother went to UCLA, so I've seen a lot of Felton, definitely a fun player to watch. I'll be interested to see if he holds up in the NFL, reminds me a little bit of De'Anthony Thomas who was a stud weapon on offense in college but basically just a special teamer in the pros... Don't like Fehoko. Guy timed well but when you watch him play, his speed does not match those numbers AT ALL. I think he'll struggle in the pros. Good adds of Little and Green too. I think Little's upside is limited, meaning I don't see him ever being a star, but if he can turn into a consistent starter/swing tackle, I think that's plenty good enough. Conversely, LOVE Green's upside, wouldn't be shocked if he goes a lot higher than internet mocks (part of why I didn't list him). I missed Milton Williams on my list! Another great one, guy blew his pro day up and has the game to back it up. Great one. All good points on Trill. I'll take a second look. -

At their sizes those are some impressive numbers! -

Almost included him in my "prospects not talked about enough" thread... He's not "my type" so I didn't, but guy has great long speed and would fit nicely as a vertical element with Allen. I also think there's always opportunity for profit when you're getting a guy coming out of a system that's farther removed from a more of pro setting (also like Jalen Camp for that same reason) -
I like Paye and Phillips more than Ojulari, but I don’t think he’s a fit here at all. He’s going to have to go to an odd front defense and be rush LB. Don’t see him as a good fit for us at all.

Yep. I feel like I remember Adebo playing injured in that one too? -

Good/not great athlete. Really good first step and bend around the edge — that’s w/out question his best quality. More of a pass rusher than a run stopper or balanced edge player at this stage of his career. Does a decent job using his hands and setting up OLmen but wouldn’t call him a technician. Wouldn’t be a starter for us but would help in passing situations and feels like a guy who could develop similar to a Shaq Barrett type. I’m partial to Jordan Smith in that range because of his explosion and similar ability to bend the edge, but certainly don’t hate Odeyingbo at all. -
Nope. Edmunds struggled this year, no question, but he’s not been Oliver-bad, ever, in my opinion. Oliver was the higher draft pick and has done far less in his time here.
