  1. Seems to be the exact recipe for how KC wins games this year.
  2. Romo’s voice is in rough shape.
  3. The 49ers defense hasn’t really looked good this postseason imo. Bosa looks like a factor early on in this game.
  4. Mayfield is the type of QB that’s easy for fans on this forum to like, but he’d drive you all crazy if he was our QB. Mayfield is very average. It seems forgotten that Tampa was only 9-8 this season. I suppose it was a good comeback year for Mayfield, but someone had to win that division. Mayfield got overrated from playing on a really good Tampa roster. Sure, the goat led them to a worse record, but he was completely washed, and didn’t seem mentally with it.
  5. I’d want to be significantly wealthy to ever consider it. It would have to be a situation where 10K is the equal of $10 financially. It’s not a matter of being about to afford it or not, it’s a matter of many other ways to spend thousands that seem more worthwhile than a few hours at a game. I’m sure the experience would be great, and I actually understand why diehard football fans would go, I just couldn’t justify it mentally. I’d rather spend that money on travel experiences.
  6. This sounds crazy, but if you got Watkins rookie year production with Allen at QB, along with Kincaid, Shakir, and Cook, we have a Super Bowl team. I’m not trying to offer a revisionist account of his career, rather putting aside fears of a first round bust receiver with Allen at QB.
  7. Yeah, people like to write off Diggs comments, and they probably don’t matter much, but I don’t get why he says this stuff. All he needs to say is I’m a Buffalo Bill, next question.
  8. Seemed almost like an SNL skit of Canadian humor.
  9. I don’t care what anyone says, if Josh Allen doesn’t win a title, it’s due to mismanagement of the franchise. Mahomes is a major roadblock to winning it all, but he won’t be in the Super Bowl every year for the rest of his career. Other teams will represent the AFC at various times. If it’s never Josh Allen, it means we’ve made some major mistakes.
  10. I’ll go with an off the field moment. Anytime Russ Brandon stepped up to the microphone as the unofficial GM.
  11. I agree, the issue is people take these talking heads too seriously. Some of what they say is for attention, other times these guys just aren’t that bright. I’m certain many of you who post here are more intelligent than Shady and Edelman. That’s mostly the issue with sports talk.
  12. I don’t think we can, but I wish we could. We might have just watched Diggs get old and past his prime. It happens at different ages for every player. Hopefully I’m wrong, but receivers don’t have long careers these days. People were always clinging to hope that Diggs would thrive into his mid 30’s, but that’s actually quite rare.
  13. I agree, but I think the McDaniels experience going sour will have more to do with Tua than McDaniels. McDaniels will eventually have a decent career as coach elsewhere. Tua isn’t a championship QB, McDaniels has taken that team as far as they can go. I’m not sure how much more anyone expects a coach to accomplish with Tua. I know a lot of people find McDaniels “act” to be a bit much, but I doubt players feel that way.
  14. Obviously not Brady’s fault, but as mentioned this simply matches Diggs decline. He once was the only receiver on this team with good hands. Kincaid is quite reliable, but the increased usage of Cook in the passing game didn’t help those numbers.
  15. I don’t think the 49ers have much of a chance. Their defense has looked vulnerable in the playoffs, and you know Reid will take advantage of every weakness he’s seen.
  16. I mentioned this fear when Beane discussed speed at his presser. I hope they understand some of the best receivers are guys who had poor forty times. Getting open and catching the ball isn’t all about speed. Josh Allen needs a security blanket who can also make plays. Cook could have been that guy, but he has stone hands so far.
  17. I think Ben Johnson is making a wise move that too few coaches make, but he’s certainly betting on himself. It’s possible that he reached his peak value this offseason. Waiting for the right opportunity makes sense for long term success, but an OC’s value can go down in a hurry as well.
  18. I like the Purdy comparison, but that’s why I’m confused with the McCarthy first round pick hype. I agree with others that he doesn’t seem like a first rounder. He actually reminds me of someone like AJ McCarron or Greg McElroy at Bama back in the day. A game manager on a really good college football team. His draft hype is one of the more confusing things I’ve ever seen.
  19. I did think the orchestral version they played on Sabres game day was cool.
  20. I think the chant sounds really cool in stadiums. The actual song is boring.
  21. The KC loss is far enough in the past that I’m done posting irrational hot takes. I’m not going to doubt this hire too much, but the second half issue is a valid concern. Josh Allen is a great blessing, but a QB like Allen is always going make it difficult to assess the OC. We all need to be realistic, Allen could make a bad OC look really good. It’s not Brady’s fault he doesn’t have a ton of experience, but it’s just tough for me to assess any young OC when they have an elite QB.
  22. I walked away from these games realizing there is no truly great team this year.
  23. This is like an exact reply of the 2019 Super Bowl, except Garroppolo is Purdy.
  24. Good call, I felt very similar about that.
  25. I think I have less interest in this Super Bowl than any in recent memory.
