Allen stats compared to Peyton Manning 👀
Ethan in Cleveland replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nobody thinks Burrow is that much better than Allen if at all. they all think however he has better wide receiver group then Allen does. -
If you look back objectively the only team the Bills were better than was the 1990 Giants. The AFC was soft. Bills D was small. Bills were a great regular season AFC team during that time. But they probably were the 4th or 5th best team in any given year with Dallas, Giants, 49ers, and Wahington all better teams. Heck even the Saints were good then too. Two plays can sum up the 1990 Bills. Bruce Smith just missing the strip sack and Kenneth Davis getting stood up at the goal line by Ken Norton Jr. Bills were unlucky(and outcoached) in 1990 and too small in the other 3.

4 Bills named to Top 100 players
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Odd that Von is on the list coming off ACL. He could be top 100 by season end but too soon to tell. Milano made First team All-Pro. There is no way he should not be in the top 100. By year end we could be talking about Elam, Rousseau, and Cook all being worthy of top 100. -
Young probably doesn't care. He hasn't look interested in doing TV work since he started. Glad Kellerman is gone. He gives me anxiety just watching him. So annoying. Could care less about the rest, but kind of surprised Kolber and Rose are gone. I dont watch much basketball coverage but Jalen Rose always seemed to make sense while dumb ass Stephen A just yells at the screen.

ESPN article ranking the top NFL rosters
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Elam was playing well down the stretch. McD should have installed him as day 1 starter. Elam should be very good. The question at CB is White. MLB is an unmitigated disaster. Quite amazing that they will have an actual downgrade at MLB. I never thought Edmunds made much of an impact but never thought of him as a liability. Now they have smurfs at MLB. I don't agree with the thought process from Beane on MLB. At least Williams seems to have a nose for the ball. As for RB, I think Cook does everything Singletary did and Harris is a solid backup. I like the RB moves. Floyd is a pass rush specialist not a LB. His job is solely to let Miller heal for the first 6 weeks. Then he becomes a solid depth guy for the playoffs. He keeps Epenesa off the field when the game matters. The interior of the DL is sneaky better. Hopefully Oliver lives up to the contract. I would never have signed him long term. Hate the move. For me biggest question mark is OT. Dawkins regressed and Brown was terrible. Brown still has potential. Beane seems to believe in him more than anyone. Beane's track record on OL is pretty dismal though. If Doyle is on the 53 that is problematic. I would not be shocked if Snell is starting at RT by week 8 if Brown disappoints again. I think this is Dawkins last year. He did not get a contract restructure for a reason. They will draft his replacement next year and free up cap space by letting Dawkins go. -
ESPN article ranking the top NFL rosters

Nope. Not in McDs defense. He rarely allows his top DB to shadow another teams star WR. In this league having 4 quality starter level CBs is a true asset. Look at the injuries last year alone to Benford and Jackson. White missed time even before the ACL. Some have advocated trading Jackson or one of the other guys. I think that would be crazy. Keep all 4 and if White doesn't return to form move on from him after this year. -
Dungy/Colts vs McDermott/Bills
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Huh? Manning first season was 1998. Wayne's was 2001. He wasn't a big part of their offense until his fourth season. They had Edgerrin James and Dallas Clark as legit weapons to go with Harrison. Add in Stokely who went over a 1000 yards one season, and its more than fair to say Manning/Colts had plenty of talent on offense. -
Pats give DeVante Parker a Big Extension
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just curious. And while I agree they seem destined for fourth place, what did you predict their record would be during MacJones rookie year? Most on here thought they would be terrible and yet BB got that team to the playoffs. -
Top NFL Playmakers per team
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall
How many playmaker did Brady have besides Gronk? No one except one exceptional year with Moss. Brady turned a few midgets into stars. Not the other way around. Bills have Allen and Diggs and a handful of other guys that can make plays. They have plenty of talent to win it all. With Hyde, Poyer, Milano, Miller, Rousseau, if White can return to form they have playmaker on defense too. Add Bass as a weapon and they have more than enough. Coaching, injuries, and oline is what held us back not a lack of playmakers. -
Did we do enough? I think we are getting there.
Ethan in Cleveland replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok but they really only need to upgrade Saffold on the IOL. Surely one of those guys will be better than Saffold. Can one of them beat out Bates too? Maybe and that would improve OL depth. There is a legit concern about RT. Will just have to see how he does this year. I'm of the belief Dawkins is on the downside but he has surprised me before. Would be good to see him play better than he did in 2022. Regardless they have to draft OT in round 1 or 2 next year -
Elam should be a 17 game starter. He was the best defender on the field in the playoffs. White will start by reputation but he was not good last year. We all wanted White on the field but after watching him play they probably would have been better with Jackson and Elam on the field in the playoffs. I have a strong suspicion 2023 is the last year White is a Bill. After this year his dead cap falls quite a bit. Either that or he moves to safety. The wildcard is Benford. Is he a safety in waiting or is he an outside corner? He's a cheap option to start on a team that will be in cap hell for years to come. As for RB, I think it will be a committee. I don't see anyone getting close to 1000 yards. Not how I would coach it but it is how McD will. He likes his veteran backs for some reason. Cook could be a true bell cow but it won't play out like that. Harris should be excellent at times if he stays healthy. I dont expect much from Murray. Bills running backs accounted for only 1300 yards last year. I think it will be closer to 1500-1600 this year. They will run more and Josh will run less. My guess Cook gets 800, Lewis 500 and Murray picks up the scraps around 250.

Interesting comparison Gabe Davis & Hopkins
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall
Silly question. If it is 3rd and 8 and you score a TD on a 20 yard reception, do you get credit for a first down reception as well? How about 2nd and goal and you score on a reception? -
Dorsey needs to scheme up 4-5 easy high percentage completions per game. There are so few times per game the offense is schemed up to pick up an easy 5-8 yards. Either Josh is not taking the easy stuff or Dorsey is not designing it. Watch Brady and Rodgers. There are so many times a game they pick up a small chunks of yards to put them in 2nd or 3rd and short. If Dorsey does that, Allen will thrown 2-3 less picks over the course of the season. His comp % will go up, the ball will be spread around, and there will be less need for hero ball. There is an absolute time and a place when hero ball is needed. But that has to be the exception not the rule.

Dungy/Colts vs McDermott/Bills
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually is was only 27 points given up by the defense. The Pats scored on a pick 6. -
Dungy/Colts vs McDermott/Bills
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Please correct me if I am remembering incorrectly. But I am fairly sure during that SuperBowl playoff run Manning overruled Dungy on a 4th down call when they were behind I believe to the Patriots at home. Manning kept the offense on the field and converted the first down when it appeared Dungy was going to punt it away. Thus the narrative that Manning won despite Dungy. But as others have said even during that SB run Manning had some really bad games with costly INTs. -
Einstein its time to let it go. McD and Beane are here for at least two more years no matter what happens this year. McD is our coach and all we can do now is hope he gets it done o at least doesn't stop Allen from winning it all. You need to move on and assess decisions in the future during this upcoming season and next offseason. If the Bills fall short of the SuperBowl again in 2023 there will be plenty of time to debate why. Now is the time to get behind the players and coaches and cheer. We can assess in game decisions, play calls, and performance during the season.

McDermott & Beane Extended Through 2027
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Vegas doesn't play the games. Haven't even made a Championship game in 2 years let alone the SB. Last year everyone said just get Home field. How did that work out? -
McDermott & Beane Extended Through 2027
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is one of the dumbest posts ever. Please know so I dont get banned im not calling the poster dumb. Im just saying this post is stupid. You have no idea how hard any of those coaches worked. You have no idea how hard McDermott works. So if McD is already working harder than those listed why has he had less success than some of them. Marty made multiple AFC Championship games. Fisher made a SuperBowl. Did Andy Reid work les hard in Philadelphia than he does now? Did Belichick work less hard in Cleveland? Ridiculous
