We’re we winning with Diggs with his last two seasons playoff performances?

I mean really, it was time, especially with the abundance of WR talent available.

Were we winning with McDermott with the last four playoff performancesby his defense?

I mean really it is past time especially with Belichick available.

That's not at all what Brandt said.

He's part of a team that didn't step up around JA when it mattered.  ....and now a lot of them are gone.

JA didn't have it against Cinci in the Hamlin aftermath, but for the most part he elevates his game when it matters.  Diggs has not.

Oh come on. The defense is the cause of the loss to Chiefs x 2 and the Texans.  It was not Diggs.

We have truly reached a trust the process moment with Beane and McDermott I have a hard time doing this but we are getting absolutely trashed in the national media over this trade right now. They must have some other move in mind cause if they’ve done this at face value man this Is rough.

The media loves to praise teams on the way up and bash those on the way up.

    Texans are ascending

Bills look at best from the outside to be treading water or in decline. We know the players that Beane got rid of were all replaceable. But when you lose both safeties, your center, and your #1 WR it looks really bad.

    The trade sucks.

The media knows McDermott is a joke too. They know he cost us a SuperBowl. They know he can't beat Reid in the playoffs. They love Ryans right now.

The only thing that reverses the narrative is winning the SuperBowl. Until then all we are is a team wasting a HOF QB, just like the Chargers with Rivers, the Dolphins with Marino, and Elway with Reeves.

Why would we not wait until after June 1st to lessen the blow if there was no picks we were getting in this draft?  That makes no sense to me

So you can use the 2025 pick this year to trade up. If they don't use it then it makes less sense.

  5. A 2025 2nd round pick!

    Beane got had.

This is all to placate McD's fragile ego.

This is really stupid move for this year.

Only way Beane recovers from this is to mortgage multiple picks to move up and get one of the top 3 WR.

Sad sad day when you chose the loser HC over the guy that was the heart and soul of the team for years.

  6. The only three guys that make sense at 28 are Thomas, Franklin, and Mitchell. Hopefully one of those three are available. They all have enough size and speed to be an outside threat. I'd be happy with any of those three.

If they are all gone take an edge or trade back.

Somehow I think we end up with Roman Wilson in the top of round 2 as a Robert Woods do-over.

  7. Josh needs to and can play better.

    Turnovers are his biggest issue.

His deep ball was garbage last year. Maybe that was the shoulder.

His WR screen throws are abysmal.

Not much else to work on.

What is McDermott going up work on to get better?

If someone tells you that they are going to poke you in the eye of March 22nd at 4:32pm, i'm sure you will be upset.

Will you be any less upset when the eye poke happens, having known that it was comming?

Well to keep using your analogy you can choose not to get poked in the eye.

Nobody is forcing someone to buy the PSL.

If you want the team to stay in Buffalo this is the price you pay. It's the world we live in.

No less than five other cities would take the Bills and their fans would willingly pay for the PSL.

Cleveland and northeast Ohio is about to put up 500 million just to renovate their broken down stadium or get shilled for $1B or more to build a dome.

Can't have it both ways. You want the team you have to pay.

As for me I'm still going to get club level tix a few times a year and hit a couple away games a year. I still work too many weekends to justify season tix even if I'm only under 3 hours away now.

  9. Can someone summarize for me the anger over the PSLs? I am not a season ticket holder. I thought it was assumed the new stadium was going to have PSLs.

I dont understand why the outrage as if people were duped. Did people expect there was not going to be a PSL?

Maybe 20 years ago fans would find an offensive line pick “boring” but the NFL is so starved for offensive line play that most fanbases want their teams to take offensive linemen up high

Problem is when you took an OT in the first round in the past you felt like you were getting a 10 year starter.

Now O-line play is so bad in college it's as big of a gamble as all the other players. It's all 2 point stances and spread offense in college except for a few programs like Michigan and Alabama

  11. Now can we put an end to the doom and gloom regarding the cap.

And can we stop believing anything Beane says. He lies on purpose all the time. Every year he says they don't have money and don't expect any moves.  And here we are with a very good WR and multiple other solid role players. He jettisoned old and injured or in the case of Davis inconsistent players. They are still too old on the DL but I am convinced they will draft an Edge in round 1 or 2.

Only move I really dislike is signing Epenesa.  Never liked the draft pick and he has done nothing to impress to warrant a second deal.

I would have used Epenesa money on another safety.

Asking that question means that you are just another one of the lemmings who think that maybe, just maybe, Beane and McDermott actually might know what they're doing.

Watching Russ Brandon trade away All Pro LT Jason Peters and replacing him with waiver-wire refugees in 2009 convinced me of the importance of having a solid OL.  I think it was 2 or 3 years before the Bills got around to even drafting an actual LT.

Prioritizing need over talent sets up a team for failure.  A team like the Bills has to make its high draft picks count because the draft is the best place to find the difference makers they need.   If there's a WR and/or DE as well as a C on the board that the Bills have graded as first round talents, they should take the one they think is likely to become a stud.    If there's a first round C on the board but none of the WRs or DEs left are close to his quality, it's a no-brainer to take the C.

Maurkise Pouncey went to the Stillers at #18 in 2010.   Nine times Pro Bowler, 2 time All Pro.   He retired after the 2020 season.   The only season he failed to make the Pro Bowl was the season he suffered a season-ending injury in the opening game of the season.   He came back the next season to be selected All Pro a second time.

This is a falsehood.  If anything sets you up for failure, it is wasting draft picks trading up for a specific player.

  13. Beane is doing a solid job getting low price one year rentals to play behind Oliver and Jones. None of these guys will make a difference other than logging some snaps.

However, Beane is now free to trade down and draft WR, Edge, and Safety with first three picks.

Another solid off-season by Beane with the notable exception of bringing Epenesa back.

  14. I'm convinced Wilson is a locker room cancer.

I liked Fields coming out of college and I think the Bears should have kept him, traded down, and taken Harrison.

Fields in Pittsburgh is a good place to land.

Both Wilson and Fields are better than any QB on the Pittsburgh roster last year and they still made the playoffs.  They should still be competitive in the AFC North with either of them starting.

  15. Have to assume they meant the play clock.

Ugh this is going to be interesting to see how often some replay booth guy stops a play. It will be very difficult to stop the play before it is over. These are usually less than a second decision and by the time the replay official can notify anyone the play will be over. That means a possible referral of a TD, a sack, or a turnover.

It's the right thing to do and my guess is QBs will just adjust and snap with 1 sec instead of zero.
