  1. Well there are people who follow the team really close and post news breaking articles a few minutes after they are released. So maybe that’s why. Most of use are speculating or guessing, but that’s why these kind of forums are for This is my thinking as well. My guess is that the Bills made him a modest offer and he wants to see if he can do better on the FA market
  2. I wish all the best for NRC and will be rooting for him on Sunday - especially considering the personal tragedy he went through. With that being said, he talked a lot during the interview and I just hope he can back it up
  3. I wondered the same thing myself. I’m kind of getting the impression they are letting him test the market but it’s just a guess. You would think that if he were a priority (like Alexander) they would’ve come to a deal by now.
  4. I am pretty sure there will be more than 2. I can’t see teams passing up the chance to draft QB’s in round 1, especially when a first round pick gets you an option year. I think we’ll see 4 in round 1, not sure how many will be Top 10 - but I would guess at least 2
  5. We’ll see...We all know how QB’s have had their stock skyrocket at the combine. Also there are a number of teams desperate to draft a franchise QB. I think that could lead to a lock or Murray go higher than we anticipated. I still think there will be 4 QB’s drafted in Round 1. If 2 are off the board before the Bills pick at #9, they are in a great position to draft before Denver.
  6. The way that I see it, Washington, Denver, and NYG probably have to draft a QB. All three have a veteran QB on their roster with a fairly big salary. They won’t have the cap space to sink more $$$$ into a QB. Even if they did sign a Bridgewater or Flacco, it wouldn’t preclude them from drafting a QB. Jacksonville may move on from Bortles and if they do they will likely sign a FA QB (maybe even a Tyrod Taylor). But that is a stop gap QB, and they will also need to draft a QB. This is good for the Bills as you have at least 4 teams very serious about drafting a QB, with two of those teams drafting after them. I can see Haskins, Jones and Locke going in the Top 10. I can’t see Murray getting drafted that high or a team trading up for him. But if I’m Brandon Beane, I start sending out rumors how Denver is interested in Jones or Lock to make Washington feel the need to leapfrog them.
  7. Some draft analysts said that Rosen was the most Pro-ready, meaning he was ready to step in and start. I think by most accounts his rookie year was a disappointment
  8. He was huge and a player who always had article written about him. But Jasper was not very good and was really never even able to get on the field.
  9. I will be watching but if it gets to be a blowout in NE’s favor...which I think it might be, I will turn that off
  10. Take this for what you will....JP has been an offensive intern at Clemson the past two years under Dabo. He talked about it with John Murphy and famously said something like “I’ve been winning more these past two years than I have my entire life!” Apparently he interviewed for a position with Kliff Kingsbury in Arizona as reported by the Rap Sheet. There are a few similarities physically between JP and Rosen. It makes you wonder if he can help coach up The Rosen One. My guess is that he’s more of a Quality Control coach given his lack of experience. https://irishfb.com/2019/01/25/j-p-losman-could-be-coming-back/
  11. Sleeper pick of the draft... Elijah Holyfield RB Georgia Bet on it!!!!!!
  12. I thought that Kelso was fairly average as a FS by the time I started watching football
  13. Yesterday Rick Gosselin put out his yearly special teams team rankings. He never explains his formula in quantifying, but the results are not pretty. The Bills Specials Teamd rank 31st out of 32 teams. The only worse team was Green Bay. They were also tied for dead last in several categories like blocked kicks, return TD’s etc. I knew that they were not good, but didn’t realize they were literally the worst in the league. Hardly a resume booster for Danny Crossman https://footballmaven.io/talkoffame/nfl/rick-gosselin-s-2018-nfl-special-teams-rankings-MbGJNF3fzUq4AiEDITayKQ/
  14. It’s not as cut and dry as you think. Everyone has different interpretations of what BPA means.
  15. Spiller....Sammy....the Bills have problems with “generational players” and injuries. Stay away!
  16. Yep and it was frowned upon badly. That’s why I do think it’s never truly BPA. Maybe if you are on a roster who can afford to do - like the Bills in the late to mid 90’s but I think most times you set your board based on need. Someone here made the argument that Spiller was a section based on need because Chan said he wanted a “scat back”
  17. Interesting but it doesn’t seem to be their style. Plus there are two QB’s under contract that have both been helpful to Allen.
  18. Meh....I’d be ok with the signing but wohld prefer drafting a TE
  19. But the board is different for each team and it’s largely decided on need. That’s my whole point in saying that yes, Need does come into play.
  20. A real bombshell of an article. I would love to read an account of the Bills during the final decade of Ralph Wilson’s ownership. I feel that you would see many of the same missteps. It’s probably not anywhere big enough for Wickersham to even look into
  21. Good information. As others here said, its more about not reaching than it is about drafting the best player available. It’s BPA....to an extent. But my point was, need does play a role for teams in the draft to help determine each team’s BPA.
